Great Spot for Burritos. We never have to wait too long for our food when we stop by here, and you really cant beat the prices on their happy hour small plate menu! What a great place. The vibes are super laid back, I felt like I was I at my tía's or my tío's backyard hanging out. The music was nostalgic to my childhood as well with Marco Antonio Solis and los Bukis playing. Service was prompt, friendly and we had some fresh chips and salsa that were top tier. My wife and I LOVE El Parque! The food is always great, the beer is always a great selection and inexpensive, (See Happy Hour Picture I attached), and they bring the food out to your table after you order! We love the outdoors atmosphere when we sit outside. And the service is always good. They make sure we have everything we need......every time. Oh. And they are patient when I take a long time to order. LOL. Sometimes parking is a bit tough, but that's just a testament to how good of a restaurant it is. That's all. :) read more

I love this little Western hole in the wall across the street from live oak Park. I went in not really knowing what to expect and came out pleasantly surprised. There's not much to it but it is quaint and cute. The best part is the pricing you can get anything for $10 and beer and wine is only $5. I haven't seen those prices since 2012. They have a happy hour that I'm going to have to try between the hours of 2:00 to 5:00 where they take a dollar off the beer and have $5 small plate specials. It's on my way back from one of the places I work so I will definitely be stopping in more often and update as I eat more food. My first try was the Mexican bowl and I was happy for this more authentic Chipotle concoction. They have healthier choices which is very rare for a hole in the wall bar, such as salmon and leafy green salads. I would definitely recommend a stop in! read more

This is a great little spot for hanging out outside a nice hot day. We love getting tacos and sitting along the rail outside overlooking the park. Our favorite order so far is Adobada tacos with a side of chips and guacamole (their guacamole is actually really good). Also, the staff is super nice! For a Mexican Restaurant they have somehow got their hamburgers down to a delicious science. A soft/fresh bun, thick patty, bacon, crunchy onion ring & whatever you want on it! Unfortunately I have not had any food from here that I would recommend! They use to have good Tamales & tacitos but they no longer serve the Tamales and the last 2 times I ordered the tacitos they were very dry! I thought i would give them another chance and ordered their shrimp burrito and it was terrible, the 3 pcs. Of shrimp i got were cold, under cooked and rubbery. Its served in a bed of rice! They should call it a rice burrito because thats pretty much what you get. I asked for no onions or peppers, i have allergies, just sautéed shrimp but the young lady that took the order seem confused. I asked if I could get lettuce instead of rice and she had to find out how much more to charge me! I said thats ok I will take it with the rice. I could add lettuce at home! Of course I had to throw the burrito away because it was full of stuff I couldn't eat! I very disappointed with them because it seems like the really don't care! :( read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally made it in. We arrived when they were busy, so parking was challenging, as they only have a dirt lot and every slot was taken. The outside seating was great, with plenty of shade and tables. We tried burgers, some Mexican dishes, and beers on tap. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. The burgers were meh and I could tell the fries were cooked earlier in the day and arrived slightly cold. It's an easy fix - just toss them in the frier to freshen them up! I tried one of the beers on tap and was disappointed--tasted flat and funky. I'm not sure if the lines needed cleaning, or if they poured the beer in a glass that might have had dish soap in it, or they were running out of CO2, but I felt ill later. Obsessed with the country vibe here! It's a local watering hole, that's for sure, and so much more. Food was great, especially for the prices. I was especially impressed by their happy hour in the afternoon. $5 for 3 rolled tacos isn't bad, depending on what's on top. We didn't notice the happy hour menu until after we ordered our bean, rice, cheese burritos for the boys (still cheap only $6.50 each and they were huge) and an enchilada plate for me (was like $12). Boys each got a large horchata which were only $2.45 each. It's so pretty in the area and the restaurant really takes advantage of it and feels like a log cabin. Could definitely be a great spot for a large gathering outside with market lights. This restaurant is in the middle of Fallbrook adjacent to Live Oak Park. It has a lot of SHADED outdoor seating which would be lovely on a warm day. Inside, It's walk-up and order like any taco shop but the tiny wooden establishment has an old western saloon feel. I decided to stop on a random day in the late afternoon to give it a go. It may have only been 4p and there were few people there when I arrived- just 2 gentlemen outside- so I did a quick To Go order. I got 3 rolled tacos w/ guac, which is my typical comparative fare. They were tasty and fresh but unremarkable. (standard Yum rating) i'll go back another time. This place is my favorite spot in Fallbrook. Great food, huge portions, great service, great prices, cool outdoor sitting area to bring my dog, honestly couldn't ask for more. They have taco Tuesday specials as well as great happy hour specials on small plates for $5 that give big portions for that price. Needs attention. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff. Place was busy with many patrons carrying out to-go orders and several seats occupied on the inside and out. We came here on a recommendation from a local Fallbrook resident since we were heading into town for some Saturday shopping. Pretty standard Mexican take-out menu with some hamburger options, a salad or two and some other 'keep the locals happy' menu items like bowls and fish 'n' chips, . . . whatever. Basically, It's a Mexican take-out. We ordered the recommended burger and the fish tacos that came with cold rice and beans. We sent the cold plate back and they came back just slightly warm. Question! Since when does a Mexican place serve cold rice and beans? I'm guessing the chef, operating alone, must plate the rice and beans on several Mexican food orders at once before the main entrees are plated atop each plate. The burger was just ok served on a burnt-top brioche bun and the fries and onion rings were nothing special; but, to my amusement, they did do a 1/2 fry and 1/2 ring plate for this Dick. The bathroom is in the back behind a weird door situation. Make sure you close the first door you pass through. Really quite the letdown. We were hoping for a treasure but only got the 'another Mexican take-out' . . . but with cold rice and beans. Nothing worse tasting. Oh, be careful exiting the parking area as it sits between two blind corners the drivers don't slow for. Careful, we may soon be neighbors. Dicks read more

We came across this super cute Mexican restaurant after driving by and seeing the exterior ambiance. We came to Fallbrook for a corporate retreat and decided to eat at El Parque for lunch. The menu had plenty of options for food, beer and wine. The BRC I ordered was amazing and my coworkers absolutely loved their orders as well. Staff was super polite and as I mentioned the rustic vibe of the restaurant inside and out was perfect. Updated review. I am a steady customer now for the last several years. It has substantially improved. The cook still overcooks the fried taquitos but many of the of dishes and combos are excellent. The staff is great. 4 stars now, just a little room for improvement. Better taquitos could result in that extra star! read more

Uneventful and unremarkable. This place falls short on so many levels. Food was dry and not authentic. Staff snarked with fake "sorry" that did more damage then the mistake that was made. Did I mention they did nothing to make it right? (Food allergy violation) This spot has so much potential, if only a real restaurant owner snagged it up and made it a gem nestled in the fall brook hills.
