We wasted $78 at Eastside Pies north. Both items we ordered--a meaty pizza and a veggie stromboli--had the same problem: they were seriously underseasoned. The vegetables were fresh and well cooked, but they were bland bland bland. So was the pizza, but at least it boasted pepperoni and sausage. We used to love ordering delivery from you all. However, you've had two major glitches and we must find a new pizza location. Months ago we ordered a pizza early in the day for dinner delivery. You all lost internet but never told folks they wouldn't get their food. It took a lot of effort for us to get this all sorted out. The owner never even gave us a tiny coupon for our horrible experience. Today I decided to try your place again and put in an order on your site about mid day for a dinner delivery. Your site confirmed the order went through. I just called to find out where the driver is and you all don't have my order. Once upon a time I would order an Old 97 from the East Side Pies Airport Blvd location for it to be delivered to my local bar. It was my favorite pizza combination in the whole world and it was what I looked forward to all week. For those of you that have not been lucky enough to taste an Old 97 before, it has bacon, lil smokies, green chiles and jalapeños. Back in the day if you wanted it to come with the egg, you had to pay extra. I've never had it with the egg. I'm sure it's great, but why fix what ain't broken. I was having a craving for Amy's Ice Cream and when I realized there is now seating at this East Side Pies location, decided to make a family outing out of it for old times sake. We ordered a 14 inch Old 97, Cheesy Cheese Bread and 7 garlic knots. The pizza and the knots were as good as I remembered. I did not get to taste the cheese bread but my kids devoured it like wild beasts so I assume it was good. The employees were all very nice and polite. They had the soda machine turned off and we thought for a little bit that it was not working, but they took care of it as soon as we let them know. The food took way longer than I expected but it was so worth the wait. Solid choice for Austin style pizza. read more

Pros: - lots of toppings options Cons: - we got it during COVID so had to get take out and was super cold by time we got home - didn't have very much flavor Overall, there are a lot of pizza options around Austin so we probably won't be coming back here - unless it's going to try to eat there and see if it's better fresh. We asked them to turn it up but no response at all. The workers were not at all engaging or friendly like at the other locations of East Side. The lighting was way too bright and sterile. I don't know where to start. The thin crust was really thin and that's good but that's where the food stops. The crust made saltines seem gourmet. The sauce was SALTY. The cheese was incredibly thick and smelled and tasted funky and ruined the pizza for me. We ordered 2 10" pies and some "garlic knots". One pie was a CYI- mushroom and black olive with spinach. The toppings were actually fresh and lovely but ruined by the rest of the pizza. The "marge" was the other pie and not great. The basil seemed fresh but the tiny tomatoes on top were not good and again the same weird cheese and salty sauce. The "garlic knots" were like store bought Parker house rolls with dollops of garlic butter on top and they were definitely frozen at some point because ours were still ice cold in the middle and barely warm on the surface and some of the garlic butter smelled sour like some bad garlic cloves were used. Definitely the worst $50 I've spent in awhile. I would say the best part of this experience was actually the grub hub driver- we didn't expect the pizza place to use them when we ordered directly through the website- possibly my oversight- but the driver was excellent. I would not order from here again and I do not recommend. Covid is bleak enough why do the food options need to get worse? Sigh. read more

If you like thin, crispy, delicious pizza this is the place for you! We got the Marge pizza and it was so tasty!! The slices are big, cheese is delicious and the tomatoes on it are juicy and good! We also got the Greek salad. The dressing on it is fantastic! I wish you could order a bigger side than just the side salad but not as big as the shareable. So I am a big fan of pizza, but in general I am a bigger fan of the price matching the quality of what you receive. That being said... Pros: The pizza was good. They have some really fun combinations of specialty pizzas and if you know you like thin crust pizza this is a great option. I like how some of the pizzas are a little out of the (pizza) box in their creation and in general think it's a cool place to get sustenance for living. Con: it's just not worth the price. If the pizzas were cheaper, it would be a solid 4-4.5 star pizza place but its just too expensive for what you get. Contrary to the Notorious BIG's life observations, the more money you come across does not necessarily mean the more pizza you see. Side note: This pizza was tried as take out during the shelter-in-place mandate so I will one day try the establishment again when I can go experience their service in a less than 6ft distance though no closer than 2 because that's just weird. read more

Ambience - very open lobby and kitchen. You can see right into the kitchen as there is nothing blocking the way. The kitchen kind of looked unorganized and almost like a post apocalyptic trade station. There is a large glass counter that has different kind of pizza that you can get by the slice. On the wall by the register there is a huge large print menu that takes up the whole wall. This definitely feels like a pickup pizza place as there was only 3 tables to choose from. It looked like a nice store with some great natural lighting Menu - not your average kind pizzas that's for sure. If you are looking for the same ole same ole kind of pizzas like pepperoni or what not then you won't find that here. All then pizzas have a nice unique twist on them. They all looked wonderful so it was hard to choose which one I wanted. There was just so much variety and unique ingredients for each pizza. They have the normal red sauce but also a chimichurri sauce as well. Plus there was also an oil base one and pesto. They technically have 3 sizes but not really. The small is only for gluten free, so if you want a large gluten free you are out of luck. Same with the regular, you can only choose between medium or large. But the menu is an amazing concoction of different kinds of pizza. The one downside was that there weren't any prices on the main menu board. If you want to see the prices I highly suggest looking at the paper menu Service - the service was good. The younger gentleman was helpful and explained how things worked since it was our first time. He gave some good recommendations and was overall pleasant. The guys in the open space that is a kitchen thou were all kept to themselves. Food - I ordered the Damon pizza which came with salami, green chiles, red onions and bell peppers, roasted garlic bulbs and a spicy slaw. The pizza was a huge wonderful looking concoction of awesomeness. I have never had a pizza with this kind of ingredients so I was eager to get started. The pizza was cooked well but there was little to no sauce so you couldn't taste it all all. The other ingredients thou all worked together pretty well. The green chiles had a nice flavor and gave some nice heat. The garlic bulbs added a nice compliment to the rest as well. The spicy slaw was very interesting to me. It was good and added a unique twist. All the ingredients worked well together and definitely gave me a taste of something I have never had before. It was a unique taste that overall was good. Overall - the pizza was good, but nothing spectacular. It had it's uniqueness but it wasnt the tastiest pizza I have ever had. On top of that, make sure you order from the paper menu. The price point here is extremely high and the prices are not on the main menu. My pizza alone cost $30. As soon as the cashier told me my total I felt like I had got kicked in the nuts. I didn't want to make a scene or anything so i regretfully handed him my card. I died a little bit on the inside. While my pizza was enjoyable it definitely was not worth the steep $30. Adter reviewing the menu the cheapest pizza was like $23. That's a pretty steep price point. I see alot of people enjoy ESP, it was ok and enjoyable, but I just don't see how at that price point. There are tons of other pizza joints like ESP that offer better pizzas at a better price. But yeah it was my fault for not checking the price before ordering, but if I had then I probably would have ordered a salad. read more

It was burnt all around the edge, and their "Farm to Table" offering was 1 peach slice on each piece and a sprinkling of chopped onions. I ate what wasn't burnt quickly and sadly because I was hangry. I understand this is a seasonal grab bag type pizza, but it was very underwhelming on top of the charred crust. Top that with the attitude of the employees when I asked which Farm they source the produce from... they just half laughed and one of them shook his head and they had no idea. :/ read more

We stopped here after iFly and I was really impressed! They had so many unique ingredients and flavor combinations that I couldn't even decide what to order! You can go here every day for a couple weeks and try something different each time. That rarely happens at a pizza place! They had one pizza that sounded so interesting. A black bean sauce, pulled pork, sweet potatoes, and a spicy slaw. I ended up getting a pizza with feta cheese, goat cheese, Mozzarella cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. It was delicious! On top of that, the pizza was delicious! It was thin crust, which I don't normally like, but this was great, and they were incredibly generous with the toppings. A 14-inch Pizza is about $11 and I only got the 10 inch gluten free crust and was completely stuffed afterwards. They also sell pizza by the slice and have a lot of different flavor combinations to choose from, from your classics to really unique things! They have a unique brand of soda there that uses real cane sugar and the staff were SUPER friendly, helpful, and overall great! Was a touch chilly but otherwise nice inside. I have been here several times since opening--both eat in and take out. I have to say I am increasingly disappointed after each visit. $25 for a large pepperoni/mushroom/bell pepper pizza. Pepperoni population ok but 2 tiny pieces of mushrooms and bell-peppers on each slice. So tiny they were almost invisible. The pie had no taste whatsoever.
