Years ago I visited and had a negative experience. I swore I'd never be back, but I'm so glad I was wrong! I went with some friends recently and this place was PHENOMENAL. I mean the deep dish looked legit and (hello resolution) I had a salad. One always expects a salad at a pizza place to be just ok, but this salad was un-real. BUG IN OUR FOOD! I have been here a few times and normally the food is pretty good but it's never quick service. Last night when I was there we waited a very long time when the waitress came and told us that the food printer never printed out food and the kitchen hasn't even started working on it. The waitress was nice so we didn't even really care. Once our food arrives we were eating and the person I was with found a big bug in there food. We told our waitress and the manager didn't ever do anything. Nothing against the waitress as she did everything she could do. My issue is that there was a bug in our food plus we waited for about an hour for our food and the manager didn't even come out to apologize. Extremely disappointed as this was a place that i use to enjoy going to. read more

Notice to Owner - As a Chicago area native, I would really like to see this place do well, but every time we have been here the service is terrible. Today, we sat for 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. We finally had to get the ask for service. There was a special posted at the door. We asked the waitress about the special, and she had no idea what the special was. She had to walk over to the board and read it herself. Please, please get better service. You have multiple posts about poor service. What is it going to take for you to take notice. No energy, not knowledgeable. Think Johnny's or Zapoli's and that's about it. This area is brimming with mid-upper income folks that have lost their way when it comes to anything relating to food. People mistake televisions with their foosball competitions for good food, and this place is NOT good. In reality, I would wager that the original Rosati's (wherever it may be located), was a decent establishment, with good flavors, but if this is what is considered good pizza these days, then I need to readjust what I am basing my quality index from. I can handle busy nights, and I can handle long waits, but with little-to-no-flavor, and so-so overall experience isn't worth spending this kind of money on. I must say that our server was the night's saving grace as she tackled our group with aplomb, and kept up during a dinner-rush while remaining attentive regardless. She was to be commended, but what she was serving was not. Bland sauce, bland crust, and average toppings just aren't enough to make me return. This review isn't as much to knock Rosati's, but to suggest that people take a chance and branch out from the usual 'Murrrrcan style pizza that infects these strip-malls. read more

I was excited to see that they have a Rosati's in the area as I am originally from Chicago and a big fan of their pizza. I was initially concerned that the ingredients and/or way the pizza was made would be different than back home. I can happily say it was not and I enjoyed it immensely. Just moved to the area and craving a Chicago Style deep dish. We decided to get this one for take out, ordered over the phone. Person taking my order was knowledgeable and friendly, 60 minutes to have the pie ready, that would have killed me if I were eating there. Maybe more time to drink beer. When I picked it up the restaurant was packed, Friday night. My pie was ready and seemed hot as if just out of the oven. We got the loaded veggie pie and while a large was $30 it was delicious as promised. The large was large enough to service two meals, so in the big picture it's a bargain. Highly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere!! This Italian from the Chicago area LOVES their Italian Beef sandwich, and both styles of pizza!! Wifi doesn't work! They have lots of small TVs to watch a game but the place is set up very awkwardly so it's difficult to actually see the TVs that are hung. For some reason the hostess seated us, on this very cold day, near the door but not really facing any television. There were several empty spots in front of the projector but for some reason we couldn't sit there. Food was your basic pizza, it was fine. Manager was very nice, server not so much. Been here 5 times. Food is always ok but the service is always lacking. This past time we waited 20 minutes before having to ask if anyone was going to serve us and some rude child came to the table to take our order and we were told we needed to understand that we were just behind a 50 person order.......ooooookkk. So I said something about it to my wife when the dude went to take another order and he came back and started telling me he heard what I said and I need to chill out because he doesnt need to hear stuff like that for a $10 an hour job. I don't care how crappy the money is you make, boy. You do not come to my table running you're mouth to me in front of my family. If you're not happy with you're job-go get another one! Attended a live music event here recently. Show was fun. Food was fantastic even during a crazy busy night. It came out fresh and hot. Shared half a burger with my friend and it was amazing. Skip their deep dish Chicago style pizza and go for their thin crust. It is much better. I know Chicago pizza and their deep dish is NOT it. I wanted to like their pizza because my brother brought it over to our house. I never went in, so I can only comment on the pizza and not on the service. We had tried a deep dish pizza place before and weren't very impressed, so we were hoping this would be better. I hate that he spent his money on something I didn't like because the pizza was, well, it wasn't pizza-y. It had no pizza flavor. None. Weird!!! It tasted like a can of diced tomatoes poured on some bland cheese and soggy crust. They threw some Italian blend seasonings on top as if to rectify the uncooked, unseasoned pizza "sauce". It was supposed to be pepperoni but I detected no pepperoni in the pizza. I saw one, but I didn't get that slice so I didn't taste anything even remotely like pepperoni. Or pizza. I tried giving it flavor with parmesan and pepper flakes, but even that wouldn't help. School pizza is better, even frozen pizza has a pizza flavor, but this baffled me. It was just so incredibly blah. Don't waste calories on this, just eat a can of diced tomatoes. read more

Try as I might to work with several of the managers there to improve their takeout, tonight they failed for the last time....not only did they not give the doordash driver all of my order, ( Which is another fail that got their app deleted from my phone); the restaurant took their phone off the hook. Jason, don't BS me with some cockamami story about how busy you were and the phone wasn't off the hook.....I've seen your staff, they are better suited to watching paint dry, not serving people.....if they worked on a farm, the animals would all die. Friday night on their patio...great weather...pretty packed. Hawks NBA playoff game on the TVs. Live music was cool...but too loud to be able to have a conversation. I love this place. My boyfriend is from Chicago, and is the type of Chicagoan that talks about what he is going to have for lunch while eating breakfast, and what he is eating for dinner, while he is eating lunch etc. While downing a deep dish Rosaits pizza we just drink beer, eat pizza and there is no talk of another meal!!! The staff has ALWAYS been polite, efficient, and awesome. We talk about going here all the time...just wish it wasn't 40 minutes away! GET A BUFORD LOCATION ALREADY!! Truly enjoy this place. Ate there again last night (takeout). Despite the order not being correct (I think we got a pizza meant for someone else.....and some lucky person got ours), it was really good. Pricey? Its up there for pizza but you do get alot of it - especially when you go for the Chicago Style Deep Dish. I would have given 5 stars but 1) Its Pizza..... Good, but just pizza....
