Hi There, I love CHICAGO Pizza ! My Home Town So when advised 2 give this Pizza Restaurant a try, I did. I was told the Pizza was always delivered 2 my daughters home & she had never visited the Site!! Also she said that the interaction with an Asian Female via the phone was very very stressful But me and my family decided to give them another try so we went to the restaurant. It appeared the same Asian Female took our order, but she was rude and dry that we should have left, but our food arrived. Our Family & friends will never patronize this run down & poorly run site again. I consider myself a foodie, and try new (to me) places whenever I can. I have driven past this shopping center for years and did not know this Rosati's was in it, along with a few other places I'd like to now try. Anyway, a friend had told me about the location, and I usually trust his judgment, so I ordered a Chicago thin-crust pizza with sausage and olives and got their antipasto salad. Now, I am a dedicated Lou Malnati's deep dish and Pizzeria Bianco (Phoenix) fan. This place is not quite at the level of either of those two, (hence four stars) but I was very pleasantly surprised and very happy with what I picked up. When I first saw the price of the salad online, and the ingredients, I expected it to just be some small basic side salad that was pretty plain. Not the case. Granted, antipasto ingredients are pretty much the same all over but they were very fresh and the dressing was surprisingly unique and quite tasty. The pizza, also, was perfect for what it is. The cracker-like Chicago thin-crust had the right crunch; not too soft or too crunchy. The toppings were generous, and it was evenly cooked and proportioned all around (no burnt part, or pool of oil, or spot missing toppings). And, the flavor was very pleasing and the ingredients are a nice quality. You know, some places you get sausage that crunches? But, that was not the case here. I know a lot of the comments leaving poor reviews have to do with service, or time waited, but I did not have any problem. To place my order on the phone I had to wait a bit (lots of places have skeleton staff due to the pandemic though) but the order was promptly made and they actually let me pick up half an hour after they closed since I got it in just under the wire. Overall, it was a really nice meal. I'm very curious about their deep-dish or double-dough option. I definitely will be back. At least give it a try if you're skeptical. read more

I been trying to try Rosati's carry out. But for some reason, it took me too many times to finally the answer the phone. ( once they answer they put me on call for 5 minutes) I ordered "Chicago style Deep dish" (pepperoni) Pomodoro sauce is really good. Deep dish, the way I expected!!! I kind a recommend; the many on the link in Yelp is old. They have another one and Chicago style Deep Dish, has another sizes and prices. Be aware. Pretty pricy, any phone orders over $30 they make you prepay over the phone and service is super slow. 2 medium pizzas and a salad took well over an hour and there is literally nobody inside and they weren't that busy. The inside was tiny like a hole in the wall taco shop, definitely not a place you can sit down. Prices are not listed on their website. I heard the pizza takes a while so tried to call ahead. the phone was busy 4 times and the 2 times it wasnt busy I just got an open line. No problem. We go in and I told the girl.we tried to call but your phone doesnt seem to be working. Her response? A snarky "we have a lot of phone lines..." umm ok? Whatever. This was our first to this place. I was expecting more from a Chicago-based pizza joint. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. It was their 16" thin crust pepperoni pizza. The crust was okay but the sauce and toppings weren't very good. They only had a few pepperonis on the pizza. We also had their fried mushrooms. They were just so-so. Great to find Chicago-style deep dish pizza here in the desert. Not sure if the other reviewers really know Chicago pizza, but this is ROSATI'S - not Lou Malnotti's, Uno's or Kelsey Road House! They have their own style and it is excellent. This is the same pizza I have been eating in the suburbs of Chicago for years. The tomatoes and cheese were awesome - we also added pepperoni and black olives. My wife and I shared a 10" Chicago deep-dish pizza today and we both had plenty to eat :)! I have to take 1/2 star off for the ho-hum service. Next time, we will try the thin crust pizza! Try it, I think you will like it. read more

The Chicago style deep dish pizza is the best in the Coachella Valley. The wait time is about 45 minutes but it'a expected because it's a thick pizza. I've tried Uno and Giordano's in Chicago and this is very similar. The quality has been good since I first tried it about 9 years ago. I don't get it. Maybe I just went on an off night. The pizza was okay but quite a letdown after reading the reviews here. I thought the crust was way too thick and bready, overpowering the pizza. It was also somewhat greasy. It took FOREVER to get our food. We saw more than one person leave and several others who were frustrated with the wait. The ambiance is a bit too bright and not a comfortable environment. Again, I was not impressed. The pizza was decent but honesty, I prefer Costco's when you factor in the cost. Parking was good. Just ordered Pizza there tonight for delivery. Usually order from another pizza place but last time i had Rosati's it was very good. Ordered the classic combo and when it arrived at our house there was olives on it. The franchise website says the classic combo does not contain olives. When speaking to Rosati's La Quinta about the order they told us they would not remake the pizza and too bad. So basically each store has their own menu that does not correspond to the franchise menu? I will never order from here again. Hubby was working in the area and stopped here to eat with his work buddy. After his Italian Beef sandwich came out he sent me a picture, it looked so good I made him order me one! Even after the 2 hour drive back to Anaheim, it was one of the best sandwiches ever! The spices were off the charts and the au jus took it over the top! Loved every last bite!!! Perhaps I'm a bit overly critical when it comes to places that claim to be "Chicao Style" food...since I was born and raised in Chicago. With that being said, I will try to be fair. After seeing commercials on TV and hearing of a place that was supposed to have Chicago style pizza, I ordered a pie and picked it up. First impressions were good, hefty weight and the chunky tomato sauce looked and smelled good. I was thoroughly disappointed when I took out my first slice and saw that the bottom crust was practically the entire pizza. the layer of cheese, tomato sauce and pepperoni was the same as any pan crust pizza. It was tasty, but waaaay too much dough. I ate two slices and tossed the rest of the pie. If you really want to experience authentic Chicago style pizza, make the trip out to Romano's in downtown Redlands (about an 1hr 15min drive from the desert). I can verify that their deep dish Chicago style pizza is legit. Will I try again? Not the pizza...but I might give the sandwiches a try. read more

I think I must have gone to a different Rosati's pizza in La Quinta. The service was terrible. One family paid for food they did not receive and left. There were 7 people waiting for carry outs that had been waiting 45 minutes to an hour AFTER the quoted pickup time. Our young daughter started to get antsy at one hour, right when we got the appetizers we ordered after waiting 45 minutes. The pizza came 2 hours after we ordered. All they said was the oven was to cold and it was not baking correctly. (a note on good management is offer a heart-felt apology and possibly a coupon for a future visit to try and bring people back for a second try) The pizza was good, but nothing like a Lou Malnattis, Uno's, Due's, Gino's or Giordano's. I might give Rosati's a second chance for a carry out, but I will never return for a dining in experience. The funny thing is almost every one of our friends and neighbors will ONLY order via phone before going to eat at the restaurant due to molasses slow service in the past. I'm from Chicago and grew up eating Rosati's. This place in La Quinta does not measure up to what I'm used to. I was so excited to find that there was one near our hotel since I've been living in So Cal for some years now. We placed our take out order and were told it would be about 20 min. It ended up being 52 minutes. All we ordered was a pizza, mozzarella sticks, and calamari. I'm guessing the guys in the back don't know how to work the tickets and the girls in the front don't know how to stay on top of them. There was a couple who ordered after us and then a family of 6 after them. Guess who got their food first? The family of 6! When I saw that, I asked about our order and was told that the pizza was ready but not the sides. A good amount of time went by before those were ready. By the time we sat down to eat the pizza (we were staying at a place just minutes down the road) it was pretty much cold and the cheese coagulated. Calamari was WAY overcooked. The kicker was there was BARELY any toppings!! XL pizza and there were only 9 pieces of sausage and the onion and mushroom were less than that. Most pieces were only cheese. I even made it a point to ask her if the sausage was from Chicago (CA sausage is just not the same)! The only plus was that the girl taking our order rang it up so it would be cheaper with the toppings we wanted. This was my first time at Rosati's in LaQ. All I wanted was a quick meal like an Italian grinder. At the counter I was presented with five sandwiches choices. The meatball parm caught my attention but asked for it to be made without the parm. NOPE! Was the rude response. Only other sandwich was an Italian meat sandwich. I waited 45 minutes for this to be prepared. Mind you there was only four people eating there and one or two take out meals as I waited painfully for my sandwich. For a pizza place, this place has my vote. We had a thick crust pizza that was just fabulous but while waiting we were given some garlic bites, little pieces of pizza dough covered in butter and garlic and parmesan and they were incredible. My husband ordered spaghetti and sausage. Besides the large portion (and I'm talking a huge piece of sausage on top of a lot of pasta), it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was absolutely delicious. Chris was super nice and friendly and really seems to care about the success of the business. We will definitely go back and I suggest if you haven't been there recently, you give it a try. Best pizza in the Valley, hands down. A little more expensive than other pizza places but well-worth the cost. The Chicago deep dish is 100% authentic and a small feeds six people. Rosati's double-crust pizza is under-appreciated and more like a hand-tossed NY style pizza but without the greasiness. If you aren't a pizza person they have awesome beef sandwiches, real Chicago hot dogs, and decent ribs. The only downside is they have only three tables if you want to dine-in and you need to order your pizza ~35 minutes in advance because good pie takes time. Our hotel recommended local dining options and one was Rosati's. Excellent choice. Deep dish pizza was full of flavor. The buttery crust was cooked to perfection. The pizza weighed about 7 pounds and that was with 3 toppings. We ordered the 16 inch. One slice will fill you up but I managed to eat 2. They are located in the shopping center across from Costco and they have 6 tables for inside seating and a couple outside. Not really a place to sit and eat. You are better off taking it home so you can fall into a food coma at home. Enjoy!!!! read more

This place is awesome! Our server was Chris and he was great from the moment we walked in. My dad can be a little bit of a crazy person when it comes to eating at restaurants, especially when we are the only ones in the establishment and he gets to be loud and "have fun". Chris handled him with a smile and a great sense of humor. I know my mom and I appreciated him playing along. Anyways, aside from the great service we had an excellent meal. Everyone liked the entrees we received but I can only comment on what I tried. They were little bite sized bites of a light dough that were covered in garlic butter and parmesan cheese. The texture was perfect and they had just the right amount of garlic butter. I could probably (and lets be honest, I probably will) eat an entire order of these for my meal. Comes with a marinara sauce that is good, but I am a garlic nugget purist so I didn't use it. Caesar Salad: Tasty! I thought the dressing was good although there were so many croutons. I have a weird aversion to croutons so any amount of them is too much in my book. However, I think even a fan of the little stale nuggets of bread would agree that it was a little heady handed. No big deal though, I just pushed them to the side. Double Dough Pizza: We ordered the 14 inch with spinach, artichoke hearts and garlic. It had a great balance of flavors and toppings. I thought they were all great topping choices but the addition of garlic really made this superb. The dough was strong enough to hold up all the cheese and sauce without being an ultra thick crust. It was definitely thicker than an average pizza though, which I liked. The sauce was nice and flavorful and the crust was super delicious! Cinnamon Sugar Beer Nuggets:These are similar to the garlic nugs but they are coated in a cinnamon sugar mixture. I only had two because l like sweets but only in small quantities. I thought they could have used a little icing to dip. Unlike their garlicky counterparts, these were missing a little something. They were still great though and if I was in a group with a sweet tooth, I would definitely suggest they order these. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when I heard the advertisement for Rosati's on KCLB. Finding good pizza, let alone genuine Chicago Deep Dish out here in the Desert is difficult. I took my husband there after work since i'd heard the advert on the way home and wanted to try it out tonight. We ordered our pizza and some appetizers and sat down to wait. My expectations were blown out of the water. Not only does Rosati's make genuine Chicago Deep Dish, they also have a few other things that I have not seen or had since moving out to the West Coast. Their battered mushrooms are delicious and their garlic bread is tasty. The marinara sauce tastes like it's made from scratch.
