Called in an order for delivery. The delivery charge is currently only $3.00, which is a pretty darn good deal, IMO. The person answering the phone and taking the order was courteous, as was the driver who delivered the order. Unfortunately, it took a little over an hour to receive the order, and the driver had difficulty finding our address. FOOD: Started with a Classic Caesar Salad ($12.75) which was topped with grated Parmesan cheese and croutons, along with two sides of dressing. This was enough for 3 adults, maybe 4 with much smaller portions. Next, a Works Pizza (Large 14"/$26.95), minus the onions, which was tasty. We did miss receiving red pepper flakes and/or Parmesan cheese. Even with a few minor glitches, I'd still recommend them for your basic Italian food cravings. read more

The best pizza I've ever had in the Coachella valley. Worth every penny and huge! Service was friendly. A bit slow and there were little to no customers at our visit. The bar in the back area where we were seated was also closed and it took a while before we received the pitcher of beer we ordered but at least it kept us busy while waiting for the food. Once the pizza arrived though it was worth the wait. The restaurant is surprisingly large inside with plenty of seating. Ordered "The Works Pizza" ($25.50) which includes pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, cherry tomatoes, red onions and extra cheese on top. This pizza was out of this world! Thick, cheesy, packed with toppings, juicy and full of flavor. We had a great lunch and still took some home for later. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. So fresh... innovative recipes... meaning the combination of ingredients impressed me a lot. I ordered the arugula salad. It was so delicious! This place ruined our night. The owner was so rude. They forgot to make our pizza. They said to call Uber. They took forever. They were just so rude and unorganized and blamed it on. Oh, we're just busy and then pretty much called me a liar when I'm telling the truth so I'm just absolutely disgusted with this place. Employees were arguing about seating us over the intercom. We arrived at 7:30ish. We ordered bow tie with broccoli n chicken. Was told we have NO coffee! When the gentleman whom I presume a helper or staff of sorts brought the dronks placing the drinks he placed them in the wrong order, meaning I got the coke n my friend got my ice tea without making sure the order was correct, tossed the straws onto the table and left. We asked the waitress for a side of Alfredo sauce and were told the kitchen was closed and besides the sauce was only oil n butter? Had lunch her yesterday. Food, prices and location are all fine. Issue was the server. He was around 6ft with dark hair. Very unfriendly and arrogant. Never greeted us. Never smiled the entire time. Never checked on us. A real chip on his shoulder. If you're bad at customer service you shouldn't be a server. Go do something else. This is an update to our previous Bambino's reviews. We had several splendid experiences with food eaten at Bambino's and also with delivery as well. Sometime ago we wrote a review that expressed extreme disappointment with the Bambino's food. Recently, we decided to give bambinos another try. Sadly, we had a house full of guests, including hungry young children, and our food order never showed up. Bambino's when called, said that the problem was not their problem and essentially we went hungry. So now we have a different and better delivery service and pizzeria. read more

I love trying new (to me) restaurants while visiting the desert as there are so many due to it being a tourist destination. Googled Italian restaurants near me and this one came up. Such a cute lil place, and I don't mean "lil" as in small (has plenty of seating including patio seating). The dining area also has a modern retro vibe with a small bar to boot & what appears to have live entertainment later in the evening as a band was setting up while we were finishing up our dinner. Prices are reasonable on some items and a tad expensive on others. For example, we started off with an antipasto salad (which was delicious) and plenty for 2 people; however, it was 14.95. We both ordered baked ziti (one with meat sauce and one with meatballs) and both were 13.75/ea and plenty for leftovers. We each ordered soft drinks which were an astonishing 4.00/ea. I say pick and choose wisely and you can get yourself a good deal (they also have happy hour). As for the food itself, it was pretty good but the pasta sauce was missing something (I don't know what). The antipasto salad was tasty and came with two ladles of dressing (of our choice, we chose italian). Our server was super friendly and attentive. Alejandro is such a great server. He's super attentive, friendly, and genuinely funny. As for the food, the turkey hot pocket is hands down the best lunch "sandwich" ever. It's huge (perfect for two) and flavorful. The chicken wings are delicious and crispy and the cheesy garlic bread is so yummy and homemade. Every salad I've tried has been bomb. Some friends of mine came over after a concert and brought back this left over pizza that we "had to try". One of them was a double pepperoni, and the other one, I'm sorry I wish I knew what it was. However, it had a white sauce with some vegetables . So, I grabbed my triangular pizza dish, put it in the microwave ( I so wish I had an air fryer lol), after getting it to temperature to my liking, it was absolutely wonderful. It didn't have that microwaved gummy crust to it, that you have to eat with a fork. It stayed together wonderfully consistently wise. I can only imagine how tasty these would be right out of the oven. So, next time you want pizza, if you're local lucky you, if not, grab the keys, grab the family, get down to their establishment. We also ordered the wings and they are lightly fried so when you bite in you get a proper crunch... fully cooked and easy to eat.. they came with hot wing sauce on the side which was nice for the kids who didn't want the chicken spicy and have the adults more sauce to use. My husband and I have considered this the best NY style pizza in the Coachella Valley for years, but always delivery. So I finally went with three friends to try some of their pasta & salads. We were not disappointed. The meat lasagna was wonderful, with a delicious red sauce that had just the right amount of oregano. The baked ziti parmesan was fantastic as well, and a generous portion. What really surprised us was the amazing salad. We shared an arugula citrus salad with walnuts and a great balsamic dressing, and it was large enough to share among the three of us. Our server Alex was also great, attentive and really nice. It's not fancy but the dining room is very pleasant, clean & modern. Dined at their Cathedral City location today. There were 4 of us. We ordered an appetizer, xl pizza, chipotle's chicken, 1 beer and 2 sodas. I asked for a soda refill with no issues. I then asked for a second refill and I was told only 1 free refill is allowed per person. I would have to pay for a second refill. I communicated my dissatisfaction about this policy rather firmly to our server. She didn't seem to care one bit and didn't bother to communicate my feelings to her manager or offer a remedy. At least while we were still dining. I understand these are some difficult times but when every other business offers unlimited soda refills and I have had many business' offer a to go cup of soda if I wish it as well. I thought the policy was a bit ridiculous especially given the meal we ordered. I reviewed their online menu and didn't notice any mention of this policy. Perhaps you should re-examine your cost cutting measures and reconsider your soda refill policies. Maybe you should try cutting the napkins in half or charging for ice as well. ‍ I will be reconsidering my dining venue choices as well as Bambino's is no longer on our family's list of places we wish to patronize. Our tip reflected our dissatisfaction which was unfortunate as the server didn't set this policy. I don't think. But it is what it is. This issue really negatively impacted our experience.
