    Italian Burger with crispy fries
    Monica C.

Pizzeria Bambinos is tucked away in a strip mall with businesses such as a nail shop and jeweler nearby. There is lots of indoor and patio seating, and we opted for a cool place inside on a very hot day. I ordered the Italian burger and my mom ordered a turkey sandwich. The Italian burger was good but not something I would get again. My mom loved her sandwich. I also ordered a margarita which was refreshing on a Coachella Valley summer day. They have Happy Hour on a few drinks M-Th. Service was amazing from everyone, and I would come back and try some different items.

We stopped by at around 7:45 on our way in Palm Desert for the weekend. We were seated right away in the bar area, where they had college football games on the TVs. We started with an antipasto salad that was not only delicious but beautiful. We were able to get two dressings -- Italian for me and blue cheese for the hubby (he said it has good flavor but needed more chunks). For pizza we got half Marini's Pizza Pie and half Tuscan Chicken Pizza. Pizza had good flavor and the crust was amazing -- so light and fluffy. Alex was a great server and checked on us frequently. The Diet Coke was good but menu says you only get 1 refill, so I had to pace myself.

I've been wanting to come to this place ever since my mom told me this place existed and I wished we came sooner cuz this place is SUPER GOOD () The pizza is super yummers and had that taste I missed in pizza for soooo long (aka it being both yummy and having a amazing flavor) the cheese burger was also yummy and I loved how the fries came in a little basket () The food didn't take to long to come out and I loved the welcoming and energetic vibes the place has! We WILL be coming here more often!!! : D

    Amazing drinks!

Classic Ceasar Salad ($12.75) was enough for 3 adults.

Called in an order for delivery. The delivery charge is currently only $3.00, which is a pretty darn good deal, IMO. The person answering the phone and taking the order was courteous, as was the driver who delivered the order. Unfortunately, it took a little over an hour to receive the order, and the driver had difficulty finding our address. FOOD: Started with a Classic Caesar Salad ($12.75) which was topped with grated Parmesan cheese and croutons, along with two sides of dressing. This was enough for 3 adults, maybe 4 with much smaller portions. Next, a Works Pizza (Large 14"/$26.95), minus the onions, which was tasty. We did miss receiving red pepper flakes and/or Parmesan cheese. Even with a few minor glitches, I'd still recommend them for your basic Italian food cravings.

The food is good, but service is rather slow and forgot to serve appetizers before the main dish also, ambiance is more bar restaurant like

Super quick delivery, reasonable price, solid meat lovers pizza and meaty calzone! Would definitely order again. Would love if they had thin crust, but very good for thicker crust!

It was close to end of day so I was quick to browse the offerings before placing my sandwich order. Ended up getting a Caprese and Parma on focaccia. The staff seemed preoccupied with Cleaning but did their best to get my sandwich order out fast. I've heard nothing but good things about this place but this is my first time. I asked the lady behind the counter for a popular favorite recommendation and she seemed confused and just said everything was good. Two sandwiches around $40 so I was hoping for something great. Unfortunately we agreed that the taste was good, but nothing amazing and probably not what we were expecting for the price. Everything fell just a little bit flat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. I ended up drizzling balsamic vinegar on the Caprese at home since they only put olive oil and a little bit of pesto on the bread and the whole thing just felt lacking ever so slightly. The shop itself was clean and well kept and had a lot to offer so I still recommend stopping by and browsing for Italian goodies. Just not my favorite sandwich spot. Maybe we will try something else another day or just stick to the pasta!

It's about a 12min drive west of I-10, located in a small business park strip mall. It's absolutely worth the diversion. They have a small section with groceries, and a larger area with refrigerated goods. I tried El Cubano (no tomato, no cabbage), Potato Salad, and Key Lime Parfait. El Cubano was actually delicious. Their thinly sliced and seasoned seitan was perfect, as was the accompanying sauces and toasted bread. I'd order this on repeat if I lived nearby. I was surprised by how great the potato salad was. It had the perfect mayo/mustard balance, which is extremely difficult to find. I need a gallon of this. The key lime parfait was ok. I expected more (in terms of flavor, not quantity), but it was not bad. I've just had much better so I wouldn't order it again. I'd be willing to try a different dessert next time. It was gluten free so that's a plus! There were many other things on the menu that caught my eye, but I only have one tummy. If we'd had a cooler I would've grabbed some tuNo salad, Egg-y salad, smoked chick'n & pasta, and CTK tempeh pâté from their refrigerated section, because everything looked delicious. The chupacabra sandwich was good, the menu said that the 'chicken' is thinly sliced, I didn't realize just how thin it is. I think I would have preferred if it were slightly thicker and less cabbage. There was so much cabbage that it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. Overall, I think this place is a gem and I'd like to try their other menu items.

Wifey enjoyed her mini burger...and it was the perfect size. The bun was fresh and held up well, which is always important. I went off the board and wanted just a simple plain burger patty, because I wasn't too hungry. But that's one of the best ways to judge quality. No bells no whistles. Just the beef...and a knife & fork. Like a good steak. It was tender & juicy and I was a very happy camper. h2O was all we needed on this night...and refills were fulfilled voluntarily. With a recent expansion to their space in Cathedral City, this location has become a gathering place for Filipinos in the Coachella Valley area. Thus we went out of our way to find this place for dinner. I found it to be mixed, and can't really recommend their food. It's a nice space inside, with a fast casual setup (order and pay first, and the food is brought to you when ready). It wasn't particularly friendly when we first arrived to the empty restaurant, but it got better as we ordered and ate. Cheesesteak Philly Style ($15.99) and Apong's Special Philly Style ($16.99). They come with fries, with an upcharge of $1 for cheese. Both had grilled mushrooms and onions mixed with the chopped steak. The Apong's special adds both cheese whiz and american cheese to the standard provolone. Both are served on Amoroso rolls from Philadelphia, which is genuine, but not particularly fresh when brought in daily. (the rolls tasted a bit stale to me). The amount of meat given could induce a hungry person to order a double portion as well, though it was just right this day. I definitely like my cheese steak with cheese whiz, and this version confirmed that (though if not offered, a good dallop of mayo is good as well, mixed with the melted provolone). Strangely, the showstring fries were the most disappointing part of the meal for me...fries can be good if the right effort is made, but that wasn't the case here. They had been deep fried a while before, and had been sitting in a warmer until served to us...thus were dried out and pretty flavorless. With what we ordered, a new batch of freshly made fries would have gone a long way to put us in a good mood, especially for dine-in. Chicken Mami Soup ($14.99) - a large bowl of chicken soup. For this price, would have hoped for something more homemade. The broth was fine, but seemed to be made from either canned chicken broth (benefit of doubt) or more likely chicken powder. Also used dried spaghetti noodles, which is not something I seek out. It did have pieces of white meat (breast) and fresh chopped vegetables like cabbage and carrots. Tasted fine, but wasn't particularly hearty. Reminded me very much of saiman, except for the price. Halo-Halo ($14.99) - it was good. Few beans (which is often used as filler), but instead large pieces of sweet plantains. It also had plenty of condensed milk and two large scoops of ice cream (both ube and vanilla). Used crushed ice, instead of shaved, which does make a big difference in consistency, but understand it's harder to do since time consuming. Apong means grandmother in Ilicano, which is the third most spoken native language in the Philippines, after Tagalog and Cebuano. The owners and workers seemed to be originally from that region; and it's really nice to use such a nice term of endearment for their endeavor.
