Good place to go for dinner and listen to live music and enjoy any sports on the Tv and the bartenders are amazing

Polo Pizza used to be the absolute best pizza in the Coachella Valley. Each one was luscious and custom made. Now that they've been sold, along with everything else at the Polo grounds, from the Tack Room Tavern to the actual polo fields, the pizza is ordinary and tastes like Pizza Hut. What a loss. And a 16" is still $24. Plus they have eliminated the best of all pizzas, the White Pizza. There are a million pizza joints around town and Polo Pizza is now just another one of them. read more

Since the ownership change, the food is not the same. So sad. Tack Room next door used to have some of the best wings in the valley, and now they're below average. Place has such a nice ambiance, and friendly staff, but the food has taken a major dip. read more

Pains me to give them only 1 star because the staff is on point as always, this review is specifically for the food. We were excited to see they opened back up and went in to order our usual 2 small pizzas and the crust was just wrong. Not sure why the change but I would equate it to something like pizza from a 7-11. If McDonalds made pizza this is the crust they would use. Pizza takes about 30 minutes to come out and the dough is tasty. We ordered a meat lovers and cheese and olive large. Both had fresh toppings and we were pleased with our selection. They offer specials on certain days but confirm first because they may not honor. Their website said Tuesdays are buy 1 get 1 for 50% off but they didn't want to give it to us initially because they said it was expired (no expiration date listed though). After disputing it with them and stating they were advertising false info, they gave it to us. read more

This is really great pizza. The atmosphere and ambience here are spectacular. There are live music performances outdoors weekly. Finding better pizza elsewhere has not been easy for that wholesome full-meal need. Last year it was $7 for a huge slice and a brew. The full size pizza is more than plenty for two. I chose this place trying to find east coast pizza and I feel like I found it. Nice bar and food menu with very good choices. It is very casual which is great sometimes. First time in town for a weekend get a way. Got in late with the little one almost 2 hours past his bedtime. Had to find something quick for dinner, this place came up. If you don't want pizza, The Tack Room is just a few steps away, so it's a great spot if you can't decide what you want. Can't say enough good things about our favorite pizza place! We've been coming here for pizza for quite awhile now & it's always great (especially our fav The Polo), but last night was even more amazing because we held my husband's birthday party here & it was fantastic. I emailed Julie the manager that I wanted to have a table for 21 people & would they be able to accommodate that number & since it is an outside patio, wanted to make sure they had heaters. When we arrived, sure enough the table was setup for our group with plenty of heaters for everyone. Our server, Tito, who has always taken great care of us, did an outstanding job making sure every one of our 21 guests got their correct drinks & food orders in an amazingly timely fashion--no mistakes & everyone happy! It was a true testament to commitment to great service--all the servers were friendly & efficient (& that's saying something in this day & age!). If you want a fabulous pizza, great Margaritas & a fun atmosphere, be sure to give this place a try--it may become your fav pizza place too!! read more

We went to Polo Pizza a couple of months ago. There were no tables except up front, by the big screen where many people were watching football and yelling. We weren't getting helped so went to the counter and ordered our pizza. We waited and waited and finally went to the counter to ask about our pizza! 1 1/2 hrs later they brought our pizza "in a to go box"!! We didn't order it to go but were happy to get out of there so took it home and ate it! Decent tasting pizza but not worth the wait and noise! Won't go back there again! Service was horribly slow. Placed an order at 5:40 and was told order would be ready at 6:15. Showed up at 6:08 and We then received an update that our order wouldn't be ready until 6:30. Came back inside to pick up the order at 6:30 and was told 5 more minutes. 6:45 came and went without an update because no workers were even in front to help myself or the customers that lined up behind me. FINALLY brought our order out at 6:50 and didn't even acknowledge us, just left the pizzas on the counter in front of us and walked away. Paid almost $90 for pizza for a birthday celebration and it wasn't even worth it due to the wait and service. Pizza was very good. Crust was perfect not too thick not too thin, perfectly crisp not burnt. Watch the cleanliness on the plates silverware and glasses unfortunately it did leave a lot to be desired. The disappointment came when the band was to start playing at 8:00 but actually did not even arrive till after 8 and began set and was not ready until after 9 Then the "rock and roll" and 70 -80 music turned to hard rock Not at all what was said when we called before coming to inquire on details. We had the white pizza (forget the actual name) and the antipasto salad. Food and service was great overall, even the salad was packed with ingredients - not just lettuce. The crust on the pizza we got was thin and a little crunchy, so maybe look over the menu for a different kind of you like a thick or fluffier crust. Very spacious outside and great atmosphere. First time going here. Pizza was ok. Very greasy and seemed flat. The dough was good. Service was weird, as you had to order from the bar and confusing as to if we had a waiter or waitress. They weren't very busy when we arrived, not even the live band was playing yet. The bartenders seemed overwhelmed when even ordering a beer. The tac room has better service and food in my opinion.
