The cashier/barista apologized several times as they were preparing other people's orders. Once it was our turn, we got a warm greeting and plenty of help with our menu questions. Lots of nice choices for beverages and sandwiches. We ended up with a couple of chai drinks (one hot, one cold), a grilled cheese sandwich, and a chicken salad croissant. Then we waited... and waited... and waited some more. It took quite a while to get the drinks and the croissant sandwich. Then it took another long while to get the grilled cheese. At one point I asked if they were still working on it (it had been so long that I thought they might have forgotten). They apologized again and explained that the griddle they were using (a panini press) just takes forever. We weren't in a hurry, but I noticed some other customers who were visibly upset. The Chai Latte was excellent, as was the Harvest Chai (an ice cream drink). The Chicken Salad Croissant was also very good -- fresh, with a good amount of chicken and not too much mayonnaise. Nice, crispy textures. The Grilled Cheese was good, but the bread wasn't very "grilled" (maybe a limitation of the panini press?). We didn't get dessert, but they offered a few small samples of the Chocolate Shoppe ice cream -- very tasty. Lots to like about this place, but the wait times were way too long. :(

I can't put my finger on it. I would not recommend. All in all, if you're looking for a place for brunch while you're in Oconomowoc, you might wanna stop in here just for an experience once. I don't know that we will be back, but you never know. I will say there is a large variety across three menus. So somebody should be able to find something that they like.

We had a wonderful experience at Rosati's. We decided, at the last minute, that we wanted pizza. All we knew was that there was an Italian place just up the street so we decided to give it a go. Waitstaff was very friendly and informative. Things seemed to be taking awhile for us to receive our food, when right then, the manager came to our table. He informed us that there had been a mixup and our pizza actually went out on a delivery. He apologized a number of times, said a new pizza had already been put in the oven, and had an appetizer (on the house) sent right out for us. He was honest and upfront about the mistake. When our pizza was served, it was delicious. Although things took longer than we had planned, we had a lovely evening and took home lots of left over pizza that we enjoyed for the next couple of days. We will defiantly be back!! read more

When we're in a pinch, this is the place we go. The food is pretty decent Italian, not the very best I've had, but better than some other local eateries. My only complaint is that the marinara sauce (served with/on pretty much everything) is sweeter than I'd prefer. Some of our family favorites are the lasagna with meatballs and cheese ravioli. The last time I was there, however, I was not impressed with the portion of the ravioli. I don't have a huge appetite, but for the cost of it I expected more than five medium-sized raviolis to served. The rest of the meals ordered were typical Italian restaurant portions. We have been getting their pizza for as long as I have been in the area(15 years). Have tried others but they do not match up to the service and quality you get here. The quantity is enough for 4 people. We always have left overs. The GF option is also excellent as we have family that cannot have gluten. read more

We eat Rosati's weekly; last night the cheef, the fish fry and chicken alfredo which was delivered. As always it was delicious, hot and the drivers are courteous and professional. After ordering two pizzas, we sat down and waited. The atmosphere quickly became overwhelming. It was extremely loud, people were running around, others were standing randomly waiting for food, and there didn't seem to be any system in place. The entire restaurant felt disorganized. We were told about 15-20 minutes for our pizzas. After about 40 minutes, we checked on the order ourselves. That's when we learned one pizza had apparently been sitting finished for who knows how long, while the second had been made incorrectly. We were told 5-10 more minutes for the remake, which ultimately turned into about 25 additional minutes. What made matters worse was that they never rewarmed or remade the first pizza, leaving one of our pies lukewarm by the time the second was done. The dining room also seemed completely unattended. Tables were dirty, garbage cans were nearly overflowing, and most of the seasoning shakers were empty. Now, onto the pizza. Because this is where things completely changed. We tried the gluten-free spinach feta pizza. As expected, the gluten-free crust was a bit tough, but the toppings were generous, fresh, and very flavorful. We also ordered the Goodfella on regular crust, and this was the real standout. The crust was phenomenal. Thin, crispy, and airy, exactly what you hope for from a New York-style pie. Topping ratio was balanced, and there was a good amount of sauce, though the sauce itself could have used a bit more depth of flavor. Overall, this is a place with really good pizza trapped inside a frustrating dining experience. Despite the poor service and chaotic atmosphere, I'd honestly still come back... but probably for takeout instead of dine-in.

They also suggested that next time we try their garlic bread, describing it as similar to Mama Mia's, with thick bread soaked in butter. They even gave us a couple of paper menus to take home. Atmosphere: There were several other people waiting for carryout orders when we arrived. They also have a dining room, although it wasn't being used while we were there. The seating is simple, with sturdy picnic table-style tables, but it looked clean and comfortable. Based on our first experience, this is definitely a place we'd be happy to order from again, and we'd also be interested in coming back to dine in.
