Came in here on a Friday evening, at around 6:15pm, by myself. I was gonna get a table, but i figured it might be faster to just order something to go. As I was paying, the cashier emphasized it wouldn't take long for my food-for-1 to be ready. I asked how long. She said 30 min. Sure enough, 30 min later, my food was ready. Yelp. 30 min is a long time to wait for a chicken parm sandwich + fries + slice of cheesecake. Got the chicken parm sandwich because of a Yelp rec, but it disappointed a lot. tasted fine, but nothing special. I was so excited for my side of fries, but they ended up being crinkle cut fries that looked like they'd be heated up in the oven, from the freezer; I was so let down. The cheesecake was scrumptious, but couldn't make up for how mediocre my main meal was. who knows... maybe i'll have to come back another time, get seated instead of doing to-go, try the pizza and pasta everyone seems to be raving about. maybe i'll then have a totally different experience. read more

To support locals during COVID, I ordered take out - the $12 lasagna special at 5pm on a wednesday. Delivery was quick and painless. Unfortuantely, the food was way less than expected. The lasagna was not cooked properly. It looked and tasted like they threw the layers together, broiled for 10 minutes and served it up. It clearly wasn't baked to get the flavor throughout and be one cohesive dish. The salad was OK and garlic bread was hard and cold. Typically I love lasagna...frozen Stouffer's would have been several grades above this. Not sure if this is a COVID issue, but will be a while before I give it a try again. read more

This place made us wait for over 20 minutes after we were seated without a single staff member acknowledging us. It was busy, but plenty of staff were around. It was the peak of summer and very hot, and our table wasn't even given glasses of water while we were waiting even though we had children with us. Not cool. The manager didn't seem to care, either when we complained after having to leave from feeling invisible. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. Earlier this week I ordered food from Rosati's. Madeline took my order and told me they were busy and it would take them about an hour to deliver to my nearby hotel. I was exhausted from my flight so I decided to wait. The delivery guy arrived in about an hour. Both employees were friendly and professional! I should have checked my food because my Tiramisu was not there. I called them back and told them about it. I was given the indication that it would be a while for them to deliver my dessert, but they would put it on my account if I didn't want to wait. Really? It is bad business NOT to prioritize customers in this situation. I kept the receipt and planned to go back later...BUT, that was before I tasted the nearly inedible pizza. Their thin crust pizza, "A Rosati's specialty" was tough, over cooked and very dry. The tomato sauce did not taste fresh, the cheese was dried out and unappetizing, and the bacon looked discolored and tasted "unusual." Had I not been so burnt out and famished from my travel, I would have asked for a refund. I decided to eat a few slices despite my reluctance -- BIG MISTAKE! The next day I was sick with diarrhea, a stomach ache and heartburn. I had an important agenda for the day, which I had to cancel after a couple hours in. NOTE: There is no way to be certain I became ill from the food, though I would bet on it. The majority of the pizza wound up in the trash and I have no intentions of returning. The meatball sandwiches were good; a little dry. Need more sauce. I ordered two "small" side Cesar salads. They are WAY overpriced--$8.00 each for a LARGE to-go container of chopped romaine lettuce and about 6 croutons. Probably the best surprise in Oconomowoc. We were in town for a whole week for a function and the dining options for the city are slim. One night, we were in the mood for "institutional Italian food." Rosati's was located nearby so it was the default choice. We ordered the spaghetti with a side of meatballs and sausage. Really, really good food and service. I didn't have huge expectations out here during our military seminar at the Olympic. We didn't want to do the stock lunch, so we ran out to try Rosati's based on the Yelp feedback. Pricing is very kind, and when you compare it to the portions, it's ridiculous. We ordered a round of apps (mozzarella sticks, breadsticks, garlic bread and wings) and were blown away by how much food came out. Everything tasted great and there wasn't too much of a delay considering it was a busier Saturday lunch. We all ate different sandwiches, and they were huge. I had the Italian beef & sausage combo with pasta salad (in vin rather than a mayo cream), and the others had the regular Italian beef, the cheef (beef with melted cheese) and a calzone. My combo was spicy from the sausage, well made, not at all dry, and also had the au jus to dip. The portion sizes are really big, which is awesome to see given what most places put out. My sammie, for $7, ended up with half in a box with the leftover salad to snack on later. I don't think we really finished anything on the table for the sheer volume of food in front of us. Rosati's is adorable. A cute little place tucked back on in a strip mall, it looks so unassuming from the outside. But looks are deceiving. Inside, it's well decorated and surprisingly enormous. My four year old niece walked in and said, "Ohhhh, it's so pretty in here." The good was also great, a group of 7 of us ladies trying every variety of food on the menu. It was hearty, homey Italian cuisine and the portions were enormous. My stepmom had to take home her entire salad, and left half of her meatball sandwich. The staff was also very attentive and sweet, always making sure our drinks were full and our needs taken care of. I'd come back here anytime. read more

I stopped here on a whim with my small kids.. we ordered a small thin crust pizza. The service was so friendly, the spot was nice and clean, and the kids were thrilled to color on the table. I've had Rosati's pizza in the past - always take out (it's fantastic). This was my first time eating at an actual Rosati's. It was a great experience! The have a huge, nice bar area. Great to grab a drink. Several high top tables that comfortably seat 5 people. And their food is good. I had their philly sandwich. It was good. Every meal we've had at Rosati's has been tasty. Once, on a Friday night, we had to wait just under an hour for a table, and the apologetic hostess comped us each a drink. The pizza comes packed with fresh Wisconsin cheese, the crust is very tasty and the sauce is delish. If you are in the Oconomowoc area, there are really only two choices. Rosati's in Oconomowoc is the only place we can find a great pizza and fish fry on Friday! This place is great. We drive from Waukesha (where there is a very sorry excuse for a Rosati's) to Oconomowoc to get our pizza and fish fries. They use real fish for their fish fries not something that looks like Mrs. Pauls from the freezer section at the grocery store like they do in Waukesha. The pizza is always done right! I've been to several "wanna be" Italian restaurants that deliver around the US. This place hit it on the mark!!! I had the Italian Beef sandwich which was not only tender and juicy, but blew away any Chicago Beef I've ever had. She had the Sweet BBQ Ribs. I stole most of her food while she was getting a drink from the kitchen. Sweet and tender ribs that fall off the bone.....amazing!!! The piece de resistance was the freshly made tiramasu. In fairness since I stole her ribs, she ate most of that. Her face was priceless when she ate her first bite.....orgasmic!!!! read more
