Wide selection of products and they look sinfully delicious, they take special orders for cakes or anything that you might want, however, their frosting is to sweet for my tastes and to much quantity so you have to wipe some off which is a waste of money and ingredients. I might not order from them again because I have been baking since I was 6 years old and I can do a better job, in my opinion and it is the only opinion that matters. Beautiful work. I needed a 1/2 sheet cake with less than a weeks' notice. I ordered the marble with butter cream frosting. Went with simple pastel flowers and happy 100th . The cake was moist, frosting not too sweet. I find the local stores frostings are way too sweet. Awesome, happy staff. Big thank you to them for having it ready on a short notice. She took the time to get to know me and asked detailed question about our venue. The team at Sally's Sweet Shoppe created my dream wedding cake and also created a dessert table featuring 4 varieties of cakes: red velvet, chocolate with fudge filling, carrot and s'mores. The s'mores cake was an original creation for our wedding which was so thoughtful and creative. The guests loved the cakes. The cream cheese icings were out of this world coming from someone who usually isn't a big icing fan. Rob & I cannot wait to eat our cake topping. It teases me every time I open the freezer. WEDDING CAKE BAR----Sally's did a very professional and yummy cake bar for our wedding at Ten Chimneys in Genesee Depot. People still can't stop talking about the cake more than just about anything else at our wedding--seriously! We specifically ordered enough cake for everyone to have a LARGE piece. My favorite was lemon cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting, but we also had red velvet with buttercream frosting and chocolate cake with strawberry filling and creamcheese frosting. YUM! The extra mile is that we requested each cake be frosted differently, so we could tell the cakes apart and also have some texture / eye interest on the bar. Went to get some treats A nice quaint spot. Owner / staff were REALLY nice. The sweets though were REALLY sweet - it was a little too much sugar for my liking. We ordered 3 different flavors of cupcakes for our wedding on 9/10/16. They were amazing! And all of our guests loved them too. Everything from consultation to delivery was easy and Sally was very helpful. Any questions I had throughout the process were answered quickly and professionally. She also made a small cutting cake for us last minute! I was glad she could accomodate our request and it was just what we wanted. Hands down, the BEST cupcakes I've ever had. And I've had a lot of cupcakes. Was drawn in by the fluorescent pink, hand written "BAKERY OPEN" sign on the street. Bought two treats: a Pumpkin cupcake with Dark Chocolate truffle filling and a Dark Chocolate cupcake with a Dark Chocolate Truffle filling. O. M. G. The cake was moist and fell apart in my hands, in a lovely and delicate way. The frostings were distinct and totally mouth-watering. And the best part...are you ready for this...The sugar content was more than enough to satisfy without laminating the tongue and putting me into a diabetic coma. Cost per cupcake was about $3.50 and TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY. Honestly, I'm going to dream about these little devils for the rest of my life. If you're in the area, you MUST stop by (be sure it's before 2pm when Sally closes her doors). If you're not in the area, "getcher butt in here"!! I had several items from here a few visits such as scone and muffins. As a bakery fan, having visited many bakeries from 20 states I found their offerings to be dry and bland. Their baked items were amateurish and tasted like the product of someone just beginning to bake. You will be better making your own items or visiting the many great bakeries that are out there. read more

I've ordered custom cakes from here a few times. The first one was great. No complaints. But the last 2 were highly disappointing. My past complaint was of a dry cake that I could tell was made days ahead. In addition, wrong colors were used than what I asked for. This last cake was the last straw. I requested a custom cake order and attached pictures in my email order. The cake pictures were not hard to replicate whatsoever, but upon receiving the cake I noticed that the correct color frosting was not used, the correct design was not used, and the special filling that I requested was missed altogether. I am pretty sure that instead of making the correct color frosting for my custom cake, that she just used leftover colors that she used on other peoples graduation cakes which makes me pretty irritated considering she had exact pictures to go off of. If I am paying for a custom cake cake order, I expect to get what I ask for and no corner cutting!! Normally I would address this directly and I have done so with this business in the past. I'm done with giving chances and there is no making this right for me other than a full refund. I was supposed to get Pusheen cat on a space/rainbow cake with a raspberry filling. Really wish I could rate Sally's higher. It's such a cute place and I love small businesses - but I felt very unwelcomed when I walked in. I stopped in after a massage next door, picked out what I wanted, and went to check out. I unfortunately didn't have cash (I too work for a small business so I know how expensive CC fees are, and I was very apologetic) - but the staff was very standoffish when I explained that I had to pay with a card. She questioned how I paid for my massage if I didn't have cash (came off very rude - btw, I pre-pay for multiple massage sessions in advance and rarely have cash otherwise but again - was apologetic. Part of me wanted to say that that really wasn't her business.). I left feeling a little like I shouldn't have come in. I'm torn between 2 stars and 3 - so I will give 3 because they are a small business and I know how important good reviews are for them. Hopefully my next visit is a little better. read more
