We went here this morning for the first time. Once you get inside it looks a lot cuter than the outside. Friendly helpful staff. Decent portions. I asked for my home fries well-done and they were not well done. The "marble rye" was pretty all pumpernickel but luckily I enjoy pumpernickel. From our experience today, we'd give it more like a 3 1/2 stars but we rounded up because of the friendly staff. Overall we'd recommend you try it. read more

Roscoe's Diner has recently opened in Central Square in the center of Chelmsford, MA. It replaces Jesse's Place the former restaurant at that location. I found it to be a welcomed new comer. The interior has been freshened and presents a bright welcoming atmosphere. There are nicely appointed booth tables and a counter/bar with free standing stools with backs. Perhaps a liquor license is coming and a bar is in Roscoe's future? Roscoe's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today was our first visit for breakfast. A friendly staff greeted us as we entered. We were allowed to select the table of our choice. The server was very pleasant and attentive from the first "Hello and Good Morning" until the bill was delivered. Service was prompt, attentive and never intrusive. A job well done. I ordered two eggs scrambled with corned beef hash, home fries, also known as "The Irishman" breakfast. For my choice of toast I selected cinnamon - raisin. My companion ordered a western omelet that came with home fries and she also selected the cinnamon - raisin toast. We both chose coffee as our beverage. Roscoe's provides a "bottom-less" cup of coffee. The mugs arrived almost instantly. The coffee was a hot, rich and tasty cup of brew to both our liking. Both our meals arrived within 5 minutes, hot and well presented. The portions were large but not overdone. A good hearty amount of food for a breakfast. My eggs were done perfectly. I am not sure if they make their own hash, but is was a generous serving that was grilled to a nice crispness on the surface and at the edges. Just the way I like it. I do not like overly seasoned, greasy or salty home fries and these were just to my liking. The cinnamon - raisin toast was done perfectly with a nice bright flavor. My companion was presented with a three egg omelet that was cooked perfectly. It evenly incorporated ham and onions but there were no green peppers as are typical of a western omelet. Her home fries and toast were the same as mine and she also enjoyed her breakfast experience as well. The lunch and dinner menu included some meat, seafood, salads, wraps and sandwiches as well as a number of Greek dishes. We enjoyed our first visit to Roscoe's and we will definitely be back. I recommend you give Roscoe's a try. read more

Very good food, breakfast, lunch and dinner ( and plenty of it ). The wait staff is very efficient and attentive. The diner ( not a railroad car ) is very clean and simply but tastefully decorated with comfortable booths, and an attractive counter making for a very pleasant meal experience. My search is over, I've found my favorite breakfast place in the area. For the past few years I've been trying to find the best breakfast. To be fair, I always order the same thing at each to have a constant comparision: eggs, bacon, hashed browns or home fries, pancakes, and coffee. I've eaten here a couple of times now. Today I got the breakfast meal and there was so much food I was not able to finish it. A friend of mine got the lentil soup with her meal and thought it was the best she's ever had. The cook actually sat down and told her exactly how he made it...So we got a great meal and a cooking lesson! The server was so friendly. We just left Rosco's Diner and it was wonderful! We chose it because the location was very easy to hop onto 495 and it got great reviews from other diners. What a good choice we made! Went there today for my first time. Very impressed with the atmosphere. The three of us came in and was told we couldn't sit in the bigger booth because it is saved for parties over over 4 on weekends. Well, if that's the only one available it should be offered to us. We waited a few minutes for a smaller booth to be cleared. We ordered our meals, which were good, nothing special. We paid the bill and about 2 minutes later, our waitress came over and said we had to leave because two older woman were waiting for a booth. I understand not wanted them to stand long, but asking us to leave was very rude. I will not be back. Pull out some chairs and have them sit if you were so concerned. read more

Stopped here on the way home after visiting family in Billerica. Close to Route 495 that made it easy to get back on our trip. We were early about 6:15 am. No one was in the restaurant but the owner said he was open. We had basic breakfast fare, eggs, home fries, sausage and bacon. Food came out fast and was presented very good and hot. Place was very clean and well taken care of. Prices were reasonable. Definitely go back when we return for visit. By the time we left more customers had started to arrive. read more

Very friendly and welcoming service. Good breakfast selection. IT would be nice to have fresh sautéed spinach on English muffin instead thawed spinach. Also, English muffin can be toasted instead of fried as it was slightly greasy. Food was rich enough. It was nice to have coffee refilled and offered while having food. The hubs and I have had lunch at Rosco's twice, and both times we were really impressed with the offerings, value, and service-Kat is very efficient and sweet. The baked haddock, spanakopita, egg-lemon soup, and fish and chips were all spot-on. My husband is Greek, so knows his Greek food, and he gave everything two thumbs up for authenticity. They even have an iced nescafe frappe. Rosco made a special village salad for us with stuffed grape leaves-yummm! The baklava is very tasty too! We'll definitely be back again for another Greek fix or to try the breakfast. read more
