Our family car broke down during our family trip near San Diego to the point that we had to buy a new car. We found the car we were looking for at Rose Auto, and the price was hard to pass up. We purchased the car at a great deal and unfortunately a couple of days later, the car wouldn't start. We took the car back to them and without hesitation, they had it repaired and back on the road within a couple of hours. Bought a VW from this dealer and tho I do love the car, the service has been upsetting. The car was priced well above market rate which isn't a deal breaker, but add to that that they didn't provide a second key even tho they mentioned there was a chance they had one but had to check (The check took over a month). VW keys are microchipped laser cut and cost nearly $250 dollars. The key they gave me was glued together and fell off my keychain within the first week! They also charged me in addition to the car, for registration. But when I got the plates and stickers it was only good for 6 months yet I paid full reg fees. There were some other things that I could mention but I'm not trying to be petty. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them but I also wouldn't tell people to avoid them. If you know your stuff and they have the car you want then go for it. Also want to mention that Ray was a really nice fella. Love my car but didn't love the experience. read more

This update is to let everyone know to never ever buy a car here unless you like being lied to . I just found out when I tried to trade in the car I bought from these people at the car dealership I went to said that my car has had a full frontal crash which was not listed on Carfax and was repaired completely so not only did they not help me when something went wrong the first week with the radiator but they repaired the vehicle without claiming it on carfax. and sold it to me as a perfect car with a great CARFAX.... He never pressured me to buy and was always professional and offered to print any necessary documents such as Carfax and warranty to bring with me to compare. Bought two cars from them already and had a great experience with both. I always made sure I got both cars checked with a mechanic befofe hand and any work that was outstanding they would fix before I bought. First car I got was a Benz : great shape no probs, sold to a private buyer. A year 1/2 later I bought a Landrover: great shape, beautiful inside and out, and only needed a wheel-allignment and new thermostat. All were promised to be fixed,on them, and The owner followes through 100 % on his word. Not the cheapest dealer but also not expensive. Always mid-range and fair priced. Over all a great experience and good cars for the price. Remember every dealer has it's cars that don't always work out. As lons as they follow through and try and fix the problem then I don't see why it's so bad. read more

I bought a gorgeous 1 Series BMW from Rose Auto Sales about one month ago. There is something so wonderful about going to a car dealership and not feeling overwhelmed or pushed into making a purchase. My husband and I knew that we wanted a convertible but were unsure if we were ready to make the purchase that day. After we test drove the car Adel and Jalal told us to take time at lunch to contemplate the purchase. They did not push us in any way which was very refreshing compared to big name dealerships. Everything is gravy when your a customer. But once you are out the door forget about decent service I have sent emails daily no response. Was told my plates and registration was sent to me on June 21st . Today is July 16th still have gotten nothing. Wanted to know when the last oil change was done and what kind of oil was used last. Was told I need to contact my mechanic for that. The whole reason I asked was to use the same oil and find out if it's time for a oil change. At the time of purchase everything is wonderful but once you are out the door you don't exist to them. To the reader, I want to frame this review by telling you that I waited over 30 days after I bought a car from Rose Auto Sales to write this review so that I could balance our initial experience with our level of satisfaction after enough time to have discovered any gotcha's with the car. My wife and I went to Rose Auto Sales to check out a 2001 S-Type Jag and I expected the experience to be less than ideal given that I hate shopping for cars because it means I usually have to deal with a salesperson who is going to say whatever he/she needs to in order to make the sale. Our experience with the staff was shockingly pleasant to say the least. We met with Adell on the lot and he let us direct the conversation, answering our questions and offering information to help us understand the car we were looking at. When it came time to test drive the car, we expected to take a short drive around the block, not really pushing the car, but Adell encouraged us to take a longer drive, to find an open road so we could really get a feel for the car. His encouragement allowed us to relax and truly experience the car. After we returned to the dealership it came time to negotiate, arguably the most dreaded portion of the used car experience under normal circumstances. Adell worked with us and we painlessly came to an agreement on the price. Adell took us into the office to meet with Jalal to get final approval on the deal and start the paperwork. After meeting Jalal, it was apparent where Adell got his open and friendly attitude toward the customer. Jalal was very friendly, getting to know us while we waited on the paperwork and sharing his experience with us as well. In effect, we participated in a post mortem of the sales experience with Jalal which tells me he is serious professional, always looking to improve his process and delight his customers. Now that we are more than a month into our purchase, I can say we are just as thrilled as we were the day we bought the car. The car is in excellent condition, our mechanic commented that he couldn't believe we had found one in such good condition. It didn't need any work, which is rare for a used car, especially a 2001. I credit the condition of the car to Jalal knowing how to find low mileage cars, despite the year. I recently bought my 2012 Audi A3 hatchback here at Rose Auto Sales. Adel was easy to communicate with regarding my car and never pressured me in any manner. I had been shopping online for weeks and ended up getting a car in great condition from this dealer. The day after I bought my car, I got stranded with a dead battery. Adel dropped what he was doing and came to my location within 15 minutes to jump start my car. He even followed me as I drove directly to a nearby parts store so I could get a brand new battery. March 2016 I bought a car from Rose Auto sale, they showed me a very good clear Carfax report to support the car was good, But when I sold the car recently, other dealer pull out the Carfax report show the Car has a structural damage report on 4/12/2013 and another damage on 8/3/2014, but these 2 incident was first available for display by CARFAX on 12/2/2016. If the car did have a structural damage in 2013 and a damage in 2014 then I paid too much because of the clear Carfax and I also get less for selling the car. But when I go to talk with Rose Auto Sale, they say Carfax report is illegal, if the Carfax report is illegal, why when they sold car to me show the Carfax report to support the car is good condition? They did nothing to help me, were very Rude in their approach. read more

First of all the 5 star reviews are from these guys they are scammers. The owner is from a local Iraqi community that has friends that own other businesses. They make other accounts for their yelp reviews. I have found links to these accounts to some rather unscrupulous tow companies and dry cleaning. I am a Private INVESTIGATOR. The owner Sam said that in order to get me a loan for a $9,000 vehicle I would have to pay $3,000 down and $428 a month for 24 months. Scam loan practices if you look at it. He charges a 100% loan rate. This investigation was for the better business bureau and hopefully we shut these people down. read more

The worst dealership I have ever dealt with. First of all, I traded in my 2001 Accord coupe in flawless condition and low miles for a 2003 Jaguar S type. They ran my credit 12 times without me knowing just so I could get approved which made no sense because I had a 720 credit rating. I found out through remax that 75 percent of the Jag was repainted and the Jag dealers said that the car needed a lot of mechanic work. I left my cell phone at the dealer and they didnt even bother to tell me at first, I called for it and they said they found nothing then later saying that they found it. they returned it because it was password protected and they couldnt get into it, they even took off the protective screen. I asked them if they could help me get some of the mechanical work done throught my warranty and they said I didnt have warranty. I asked him to double check that information and he said that he did. I went home through some paper work and found out that I did have a months worth of warranty left, brought it to his attention and he didnt apologize, he just sent me to this alley where his mechanic was. They basically did a horrible job and the car leaked all week. They said they would fix it but for an insane amount, and I called Jag and they were willing to do it for much cheaper, The owner kept getting anxious every time I told him I was going to take it to the Jag dealer. Anyways, I asked for my money back or I would file a lawsuit because he put me in a dangerous car that was falling apart, he replied "no" and "f-you" I was shocked. There was nothing more I could do. I was stuck with it, it blew a major head gasket that cost 2000 to fix, althought rose told me there was a new one in it, and 7 months laster after that, It broke down, Galpin Jag told me the car had multiple issues. Rose auto sales lied about the paint job, the condition, the warranty, my phone, everything, It was the worst week ever. As far as my Honda went, they told me they sold it to a female cousin, her first. But I saw it at a tent sale 2 weeks later, I knew my car, every inch of it, so they even lied to me about that, for no reason at all. It was weird, so I tell you guys, this place is horrible, go to remax, or anywhere professional, because these rinky dinky dealerships will pretty much screw you over read more

I bought a BMW from them and had a poor experience. The sale part of the experience was fine, they were friendly, allowed me to test drive as much as I wanted, told me everything was fine on the car. Later come to find out many things were not included that they did not mention (extra key = $200, alarm =$300). Back light was going out (electrical problem). I later took it to my mechanic (after the 30 day warranty) and had $1500 worth of repairs to get it into shape. They took almost 3 months to give me the license plate (and additional money from the registration I paid). They waited until I came in to request the money and license plate. I would suggest if you consider buying from them, you take it to your own mechanic, very much worth the $120 inspection fee (that I should have spent) to prevent thousands in later expenses and ask about all the details. read more

Recently, my son and I were looking for a newer car for my son to replace his existing ride. We stopped in @ Rose Auto Sales and met with Adel. Unfortunately, the timing was such that the vehicle that we were interested in a 2012 Mustang was sent out to be detailed. However, the Mustang would be back late in the day. He showed us pictures taken of the vehicle and provide us with some information on the car. We spent some time together exploring finance options available, a possible trade-in and the price of the car. I found the price very reasonable for the year, condition and mileage in the first place and the dealership gave us a little break by dropped the price a little over $500. We were told up front that there is a burn mark in the backseat upholstery that will be fixed. When the vehicle was delivered back to the dealership Adel gave me a call as promised. This time my wife accompanied me as she was interested in seeing the Mustang as my son had to go to work. We were good on the onset with the deal and just wanted to see the vehicle. Other than the minor repair needed to be made to the backseat upholstery we asked that (2) slight dings/intends be taken care of as well. The vehicle was sent out to get the work done and was ready for pick-up on the day promised. Our experience with Rose Auto Sales was extremely good. Matter of fact my wife looked around and saw one or two cars that she would be interested in when we go to get her another vehicle. From the vehicles that we have seen that they stock on the lot appear to be high quality autos with low mileage and have clean title status. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership a couple months ago. The seller and I reached an agreement on the deal, and the contract was signed that day. Both parties were happy. The vehicle is working just fine now and I am content with my purchase. However, a month after my purchase, I received a letter from them stating that they made an error in their system and had taxed me based on San Diego's current tax rate of 7.75%, whereas they should have taxed me based on the county I reside in (Los Angeles county, 9.75% tax). This discrepancy resulted in a shortage in amount of tax owed. According to a chart the dealership provided along with the letter, it appears that they've also made this error with seven other buyers and are expecting buyers to pay the additional amounts owed due to their calculation mistake. I recently contacted them to address this matter. The representative I spoke with was uninformed and very rude when I tried to address this situation and how we could reach a compromise, given the terms of the contract and the fact of their carelessness in calculation and communication. Before I could state my case, he threatened to send my case to a collection agency if I would not pay the extra tax. This is unprofessional and deceptive sales practice. I was actually trying to be cooperative and really did not want to make our relationship go sour. Customers should be treated with more respect than that, especially when the seller is at fault. They should have caught 'these errors' months ago (according to the dates provided on the chart). ***NOTE TO CONSUMERS: If you do decide to purchase from this dealership, please review your contract diligently before signing to make sure this problem does not persist in the future. read more

First time buyer of cars and these guys are pretty good. Sam gave me a good deal and he fought for me, too. They offered to let me take the BMW 328xi on a test drive and he answered all my questions. The car had a few messed up things with it and didn't come with floor mats, but he told me that when I go back for my plates that he'll hook me up with BMW floor mats (we'll see how that goes). However, Sam knows his cars. After I bought the car, I took it to get an inspection (bad decision on my part). And Pep Boys told me that I needed new shocks on the car. A total of approximately 800 bucks. Kind of upset initially, but i'm not the one to whine and moan. Overall, the people there are pretty cool and efficient. And overall, I am happy with my purchase. My experience was good initially. Sales was good, but they usually are...they want to sell you car. I bought a 2005 640ci in new condition. I'm not sure if this is Rose's fault or BMW but the car has only about 93K on it, I've had it for almost a year, and I just spent a total of $5500 in repairs - not maintenance - over the last 90 days. And now, my message center just told me my transmission was overheating and I need to take it to a service center immediately. A $90K car should not have major failures like this with less than 100K miles. I drive the car less than 5miles per day. Like I said, it may not be Rose's fault, but that's where I got this lemon elite sports car and I won't buy anything there again. read more
