Horrible service since a new owner took over. Always changing prices.The employees don't know the difference between a jacket and cardigan. I took the same garment twice The first time it was a cardigan, the next time the lady said, it's a jacket,so I got charged more. I dropped off a couple blouses and the receipt said $9.00 .My husband forgot the receipt and was charged $10.00. The owner and one of the girls are very rude!! Horrible service!! Seriously, I should have read this review before coming here. I took three suits and about seven dress shirts. They told me they'd be ready in three days. usually I expect my stuff back the next day. It's 2010. What cleaners still do business with a multiple day turnaround time? I needed a zipper replaced on one of my suit pants. The fee was $10. I finally went to pick up my stuff. Forgot my ticket. I walk in and they can't locate my order. I'd like to mention that this place still operates under the write by hand receipt system. I swear. If it wasn't for my keen eye spotting my three suits hanging there in front of me, who knows if they ever would have found them. My shirts were in a totally separate area of the place. Again, I know my shirts and I spotted them in between a thousand other completed orders. I don't know how, but I did. The final price is what really blew me away. $54 dollars. I usually pay about $25 for the same amount of cleaning. Even if I was to add the $10 replacement zipper that's $35. Never again will I set foot in this place. read more

I knew it was more expensive than most places so I guess I should assume higher price=better quality, right? WRONG. Apparently, the young girl behind the counter did not know how to properly write the order AND ENDED UP WITH A SHORT SLEEVE CHEF COAT. Why the hell would I want a chef coat short sleeved? I work in a kitchen. I want my sleeves long and professional looking. This was my school uniform that they messed up and I am furious. I don't know how they're going to "fix the length" when they obviously cut off the entire arm. I told them it has to be SEAMLESS and not show that they messed up. I'm so f***ing mad. I'll update when it's all over with but it's looking like they will have to pay for a new chef coat. read more

This is a convenient place to bring my clothes. They're pleasant and do an ok job however during summer and hot weather days is too hot inside. Even though a customer is in there for a few minutes you feel the discomfort of the hotness. Although I feel is a recomendable place a change inside to a more tempered place will draw more customers to keep coming. It's really a great location and in the center of Downey. I love Rose Cleaners. Their customer service is incredible. I took two pairs of pants in to be hemmed a day before I left on vacation realizing that there was no way I would have the in time for my trip. They called me the next morning and said they were ready! It really made a difference in my vacation to have new pants to wear. And they got all the dog hair off too! I have also used them for dry cleaning and they always do a great job. I highly recommend them. read more

If you want to pay someone for ironing dirty clothes, definitely come here. Every single time I've taken my clothes here, stained shirts come back iron.....and still stained. I started going here because my mom brought her clothes to this place, but since then, it's all gone downhill. I'll admit, the young lady in the front is nice....but the owner....a little creepy. And all I can say for the ones doing the "cleaning" is that they don't. They iron but clothes come back still dirty. Save your money and look elsewhere. read more

I'm not surprised by the 1-star ratings for Rose Cleaners, because I also had a very bad experience. Brought in some dress shirts for laundering, and got them back with baked-in dirt smudges and broken buttons. When I complained, the lady at the counter told me "they must've been brought in here that way," and refused to do anything to compensate me. Ridiculous! These people are complete amateurs and couldn't care less about customer service. That's a bad attitude to have with so many competitors in town. Model Cleaners is just across the street and 1000% better than this place. read more

Used to come here when it was still affordable, then they raised their prices 50% for no good reason. Who does that? Washing at home isn't that difficult, I guess thats the answer or just find a less greedy dry cleaners, there's plenty out there. read more

I must say for getting things done as fast as they did and the price they charged it is totally worth it. I think my item was done by three when i left it there in the morning. Great place if you need next day. The only downside is that they do not store your items by phone number or some other way in a computer, so it sometimes takes a bit longer, but that is a minor detail. read more

I am very disappointed in this place. I brought my pants for alterations. I left THREE pants there and was told they would be ready in five days! I was out of town for one week, so I had no need for them. I came back six days later, giving them an extra day, and they were still not ready!!! In fact, I arrived at the end of the business day! As I walked in, I saw my pants on the counter. The lady was barely working on them!!! I was outraged!! She looked at me and said "Sorry, I barely got the chance to start working on them. I only work here a couple of days and another lady came in here with a dress." I DO NOT GIVE A S***! what the excuse is!! I am a paying customer. I was told a certain day, so I expect my things to be done on that day. She told me to come back the following business day, but I told her I couldn't because I worked! I was so outraged!! So out of my three pairs of pants she only gave me one since I didn't have pants for work. They were not even pressed!! Apparently, the lady with the dress had more of a priority! That's BS!! I will NEVER return here. It's a shame too, because the lady did a decent job on that one pair of pants, but I shouldn't have to work around their schedule! If you promise your clients something, you need to stick by that! Their credibility went down! Oh, and they are very unorganized! Take your business elsewhere! When one of my family members went to pick up my suits finally, they didn't even give us a discount and of course my family member complained. I never thought I could have such strong feelings for a cleaners, but this place is the best! I have lived in the area for a year and used them a few times now. They tailored three pair of pants, perfectly. I brought a white blazer to them, thinking it was hopelessly stained with self-tanner, They dry cleaned it, which made a notable difference, but it was still unwearable. The owner, who had flagged my blazer for discussion when I came in, asked me to just let him try laundering it, since I was going to trash it otherwise. He laundered it (free of charge), and it came out great. The customer service here is unbeatable. read more

Ever since they changed ownership, this place has definitely improved. The service is friendlier and prices much cheaper than nearby cleaners. They also do alterations and have a shoe repair service. This is definitely my go-to cleaners now. read more

I've been here twice now. The people are very friendly and helpful. I took my daughters formal choir dress to be hemmed. They did a great job! I recently came back to have it taken down because she has gotten taller in the past year. They were able to have it done in such short notice. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
