Willie's just climbed onto my special occasion destination list. Not that each and every day can't be a special occasion, make it one and drop by Willie's We chose eggplant fries with a quite spicy "angry" tomato sauce. This was fresh, crunchy and yes the sauce was angry but we weren't since this was so good. As my main course I chose pappardelle carbonara on wide noodles with richness throughout. Perfect. Our second choice was tortelli stuffed with spinach and mascarpone. Again it was exceptional. The space is small inside with a few seats outside and it constantly buzzed with server and diner activity. It was as though everyone was all part of one group. Our server answered questions and was perfectly attentive. Our first time at Willie's will not be our last. This is one of Reno's finest dining experiences. Do yourself a favor and enjoy it as we did.

The hardest part was that we pretty much felt like we were sitting on top of the people around us. It's a small place and I do get they need to maximize their seating to reduce waiting time and improve revenue. Because of the close seating, the ambient noise was significant, which is harder on older patrons. If I went back, I would probably try to find an unpopular time to go. The food was good and that is the most important part!

I met a couple of friendly locals at the restaurant who affirmed this. Service: Excellent from being greeted at the door to an introduction to the menu. Food: Excellent. For pastas, you can choose your own pasta shape. The pesto pasta was perfectly al dente. The pizza menu has 20 different options. The Cassinetta pizza was great with sausage, mozzerella, sausage, and bell peppers. Don't skip dessert! The panna cotta with berry sauce was divine. I will definitely be back.

Told the party to move so she can clean table and proceeded to tell them they can't sit there even though they required 18% gratuity up front. 1st party ordered. Food missing salt and bland. 2nd party never gets food after waiting for over an hour. Multiple staff passes by and doesn't realize. We were patient until the hour make and noticed people that came way after received food. When we alerted staff, they claimed the system temporarily went down then proceeded to say they lost the ticket. $60 required gratuity for what? It's a pay and the counter and sit type place. It's not full service. Time for management to carefully consider the way they run things. Worse experience ever & we are in the service industry. Nothing will make up for the time lost and the fact that nothing was open by the time we left. Terrible terrible service. Stay away.

We started with the garlic bread and smoked Gouda fried polenta. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted, and the smoked gouda fried polenta was a fun dish to try as it consisted of multiple nice flavors. Our entrees consisted of the fettuccine Alfredo and veal saltimbocca. The fettuccine was genuinely delicious, with my partner saying it's among the best she's had. The saltimbocca was dressed with a wine reduction that paired really well with the intense flavors of the prosciutto and veal. The risotto was tasty and had a flavor that also balanced well with the meat.

The garlic bread was good- the sourdough was toasted to a crisp and so delicious with the cheese. I'm normally not a fan of parmesan, but this wasn't too cheesy for me! My boyfriend (a big cheese afecionado) wished there was more. It pairs very well with the tomato dipping sauce. The spaghetti & meatballs are a classic dish that you can't go wrong with, and Izabella did them so well. The meatballs (a blend of pork and beef) are very savory and tender! The rigatoni came out piping hot on the plate, and my boyfriend liked it a lot. There's always room for dessert, so we indulged in a vanilla bean creme brulee. I loved it! The dish was perfectly creamy and had the right custard texture, and the brulee top wasn't too burnt and had the right crisp to it.

They do not deliver but you can place your order online for pick-up (or call of course). From the moment we picked up the order (they were piping the chocolate chip Mascarpone in the cannolis when we arrived!) we knew it was going to be a great dinner. Driving back to where we were staying was difficult, the delicious smell of fresh pizza quickly doubled our hunger I'd say. Both of the 8" Cheese Pizzas (one with fresh basil, the other pepperoni and meatballs) were devoured by our teens. The meatballs were sliced thin with the pepperoni and received high praise. We split the Mighty Mo, oh it was good. The sliced sausage was my favorite topping mmm. To wrap up the fresh cannolis (see pics) are "Cannolis (filled with chocolate chip Mascarpone and topped with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup)". My wife said the best cannoli she ever had, period. Check out their website its a family owned restaurant with a very unique origin story, thanks Mofo's we will be back!

Great pizza , great…read moreservice and the over the top antique shop decor of the place makes it a really fun spot to have dinner and take in the super cool unique and funky (in a good way) atmosphere!! Chef Bryan was a very personable guy, loved his passion for his food , his establishment and how much of his inspiration comes from honoring his fathers legacy, you can see it and feel it just talking to him. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was great , loved how super thin and crispy the crust was. We also ordered the fried artichoke hearts and they were nicely seasoned and served with a marinara dipping sauce!! Gotta save some room for dessert and the house made cannoli , crisp outside with rich and creamy filling....A+ The restaurant is filled with antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, taxidermy, toys, photos of family and friends , along with an upstairs antique museum, a pool hall/arcade room across the courtyard and another building loaded with antiques!! The courtyard has old signage and antique lanterns everywhere, lots to see and enjoy. The cool part about all of the eye candy is that you can actually buy most of the antiques displayed throughout the property if the price is right!! Great spot with a great down home vibe, you will leave feeling like you just made a new friend in Bryan and that he just invited you over to his house for a great home made pizza dinner and let you browse his antique collection while you were waiting!!Love to see someone doing something unique because you are passionate about it and I can tell that honoring your fathers legacy is important to you and that makes Papa's extra special..... Great job Bryan, see you around my friend!! Cheers!!
