    Medium Platos Pie

My daughter and I came in tonight for some dinner while she studied for her final. Surprisingly we were the only ones dining in. There were a few to go orders while we ate. The service was quick and friendly. We shared the Plato's Pie. It was delicious!

Garlic twists (wasted my money because they were too burnt to eat)

4 years have gone by and it's my first visit back. Have things changed? No. They still burn your food and then charge you a lot of money for it. For ONE large pizza, half everything, half popeye and one order of garlic twists, my total BEFORE my 20% tip was $56!!! Not only were my garlic twists completely inedible because burnt garlic is gross, they also forgot a topping on my pizza. Cool. The restaurant was NOT busy, there were only two customers inside on a Saturday.

First time trying Wild Garlic. The location was busy, but we did get fast service. The person taking our order took our order immediately and I feel like our food came out relatively quickly, considering there was a decent amount people that were there before us. The location has a bar and a few tables inside and outside for those that want to just hang out and eat there. You also get to see them while they are making your food which is awesome. We ended up getting the Wild White Panini and the BBQ chicken chips. The panini had a little too much white sauce and pesto for my liking and a lot of bread and very little chicken, but the taste was delicious. The barbecue chicken chips were delicious, but once again wish it had a little more meat. I definitely plan to come back and try a few more items off the menu!

    No one eating

Sat for 5 minutes, no one said a word. 3 employees working and zero service. Got a beer after being looked at strange. Finished said beer, been waiting 15 minutes to just pay. Not wasting time ordering

The wall says happy hour all day on Sundays and mondays and the cashier said "that must be a lie" he then covered the sign up. Is this not a thing anymore? I need to know because we come for the happy hour.

Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub in South Reno

I just found a fantastic pizza place called Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub. The one I went to was off of South Meadow's Parkway. It is owned by Dean Christopher who also owns 3 Blind Onion Pizza & Pubs as well as another Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub. The Pizza was made fresh and served hot & delicious. Home made ranch dressing and honey on the tables. Welcoming and inviting atmosphere and Dean is great to chat with. There are two locations on the Reno Airport. I suggest you check out these great pizza and pubs. Bring your friend and family and tell Dean, Julie says Hi! Cheers. Julie A

Great service. Unbelievable pizza. Kids can't get enough. Watch the game, have a pint.

Ive just tried this place for the first time, and it was great! I ordered online to pickup. Ingredients are very fresh, and the pizza was hot when i picked it up. Also, the prices for this level (higher) of quality wasnt terrible! The two ladies working during lunch were also funny and very sassy. I like that. Will definitely come again. The only issue i have with this place is the different sauces. What do they mean? Al's tomato sauce.... has tomatoes? California red.... is from California? Franks Red house BBq... equal parts Franks hot sauce and Sweet Baby Rays bbq? A little description would be awesome on the menu!

September's special pizza-chipotle bbq sauce, chicken, feta, onions, bacon and fresh sliced peaches, YUMMY!

And glad to say, that in my experience, this is still the closest we have in Reno to a "soccer bar". This has always been a great spot. Small, yes, but in that casual, intimate, easy-going way that has a lot of charm. Lots of hard-wood finishes, barstools, and TVs to catch what's on. And at time of writing, totally overflowing with futbol energy. There are a good number of bar spaces, tables, and outside seating overlooking the river, which is a BIG draw. The beer selection here is great, both on tap and in cansor bottles. But they also have a decent full-barselection of wines, spirits, and cocktails. Plus, a decent smattering of N/A options. And prices are on par with most other bars in town. Service here has been quite good. Friendly in the extreme, and relatively prompt. Though if there are big, crowded events (such as a game being on), you may have a little slowdown. Plus, the vibes here are just fantastic. The location also cannot be beat, as it is ell placed to enjoy the riverfront and explore more of the area. Though parking may be a bit tight, depending on where you park and what day or time it is. There is also no food options here, but there are plenty of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. All in all, I am glad some of the energy I remember is still here. I will have to come back during MLS or Premier League matches to see how things stand. And with a soccer team HOPEFULLY returning to Reno, I definitely hope we can get the local supporters groups to return here, as well. Definitely a libation spot not to be missed. Cheers!

Since it was early most places were pretty dead until we got here. We had been across the street when my mom noticed this place and wanted to give it a try. It was the first fully crowded bar we had come upon. We shuffled our way through the crowd and decided on a table in the very back. As we were making our way toward the table, a bartender made eye contact with me and let me know she'd be right over to take our order. I thought that was pretty amazing since normally you have to try and order at an already overcrowded bar. A few moments later there she was to take orders. Two of us got wine and the other two got lemon drops which I know is out of place for an Irish pub but we ended up absolutely loving our choices. My mom also asked for a straw for our water and she returned and handed it to her in a napkin which gained major points because I cannot stand when I'm handed a straw with bare hands. They were also playing live music which really the crowd engaged. Definitely a fun spot! Things to note: there is a very small private parking lot.

Small stage with live bands, see picture or website. Small parking lot, don't even bother, plenty of street parking. Open 5 days a week from 4pm to close. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Service - 6 stars. They welcomed our team. Approved us bringing in food (from Pizza Plus) for our event. The waitress and the bar service were perfect. Came and got our drink orders often. Price - HH $5 beers. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2007. Our team has been regular customers since??? So I guess we will be coming here more often.

It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. It's family owned by a father, brother, and sister, which adds to its welcoming and authentic feel. I also loved learning that the building has historical significance. Be sure to check out the plaque outside if you visit. The customer service was outstanding. Zach greeted us as soon as we walked in, seated us quickly, and took the time to explain the menu and answer our questions. His friendly personality and knowledge made us feel right at home. I had a tough time deciding between the Homegrown Burger and the Alaskan Salmon, but I went with the burger. It was cooked exactly how I requested, juicy, flavorful, and easily one of the better burgers I've had in Reno. I'd give it a 9.2/10. My wife ordered the macaroni and cheese. She thought the flavor was delicious, but the sauce was a little thinner than she prefers, so she gave it a 6/10. Even so, she still finished the entire plate, which says a lot about how good it tasted. For dessert, we shared the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It wasn't overly sweet. The warm cobbler paired perfectly with the cold, creamy ice cream. To top it all off, Zuck even gave us a mini tour of the restaurant, which made the experience feel even more personal. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere make Homegrown Gastropub a place I'll definitely be returning to.
