I've been coming here since I was a little girl... yes little girl going to a liquor store... TO BUY CANDY! I used to buy all the quarter boxes of candies like lemonheads, cherry clans, airheads, now and laters, tearjerkers... etc... ice cream on a hot day... snacks... The place has changed since the whole plaza went through a remodel. It is smaller, and more of a liquor store.. the only times I come now are when there are a big lotto coming up to buy a megamillion or super lotto ticket... I bought one a few weeks ago and so did everyone else in the neighborhood because the line was out the door! It did go by fast but it brought back so many memories just coming here. read more

It was Christmas morning and I needed ice and Safeway was out and no one else was open except Rose! I was so grateful. The guys behind the counter are ALWAYS so nice. When I used to smoke, they always had my off brand on hand. I also buy lotto here sometimes and usually win something. Today was the third time I have gone to this liquor store and every time I have visited and attempted to purchase liquor or beer the owner/sales person overcharges the purchase price for an ATM fee that is not valid it says clearly any purchase under $10 will be charged a $.99 convenience fee. Even though my purchase every time has been over the $10 threshold she still charges me the extra dollar and thinks that she can get away with it. Every time I mention this she laughs and takes the dollar off I told her today that this is the third time this is happened and she tried arguing with me and saying no no never me I am tired of it and I will never frequent this establishment again go rip off somebody else. read more

This establishment is run by crooked men with no conscious. I have lived in the area my entire life, and have been to this place on many occasions as it's very close to me and easy to get to. A good man use to work there for many years, but has since moved away. All that was good about the store left with that person. The owners and those who work there now are all related, and they have one goal in common, which is making money. They do not care about customers at all or good business ideals. They don't greet people in English, and often speak in their native tongues while dealing with customers. On one occasion, they even stole a dollar from me. I had counted out how much the total was for one of my purchases there, and one working there told me I was a dollar short. I pulled out another and handed it to the person, who started speaking to the owner in another language, and instead of putting the dollar into the register, handed it to the owner who pocketed it right in front of me. Avoid this place at all costs. Those that work there might seem friendly at first, but make no mistake. They're in it for themselves. read more

Wow the woman behind the front counter here is incredibly rude and needs to work on her customer service skills. I've encountered her before a few times when turning in scratchers and since I rarely play (I received the scratchers as presents) I always cash them in for money which she always seems to be irritated about "What? You don't want to buy more, just cash? UGH." Ya just cash and it shouldn't be a problem. Today however was the last time I will ever go here. I swing by to get a six pack of beer and she rings it up and it shows a price over $10 on the computer and I say "oh that's how much it is before tax? I think I'll put it back and grab something a bit cheaper." I select a different beer and she rings it up and I pay and she then points at the price and half shouting at me says "SEE! You get mad at price and this same price! No difference!" I'm completely taken aback especially since there's other customers around watching and finally tired of her attitude tell her I was under the impression the beer was over $10 before tax and that if she would have informed me when I said something I would've just bought what I had originally picked and that the only person mad here is her not me and left. I think in the future I'll stick to CVS or Safeway at least they really do have better prices and aren't assholes to the customers, so I'll say this in my ending, screw you lady and your shitty attitude. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The rudest people on the planet. you would think that competition would sober them up a little, but no. I go in I say hello, the guy doesn't even look up, I ask for a lottery ticket, the guy does not even acknowledge I'm there, gives me my ticket, I pull a single dollar out thinking it's a fiver, he looks up and goes: what is this? and takes the tickets away. I apologized and swiftly reached in my wallet and gave him a $5 bill. He gives me my change but doesn't like the way I take the change back from him. Starts yelling on top of his lung using all the profanity in the book. I'm so shocked that this place is still in business. The woman in there is not better. I've sen her once making fun of an old guy`s accent while he was asking for a scratch off. Not surprisingly the older gentleman said that he will never return. read more

I was parked outside of this store for like 10 minutes just talking to my friend in the car because we had some time to kill and what not. This man working the store literally walked out every 2 minutes and stared me down as if I was up to something, lmao. I finally walked in, he very stiffly "greeted" me, I then took maybe 4 minutes to figure out which type of alcohol I wanted to buy, and once I made my decision and made my way for the counter he goes "Id?" I give it to him and he stares at it for the LONGEST time as if it was fake (it most definitely is NOT) and then goes "did you know it's expired" and I'm like "yeah, I just turned 21 a few weeks ago I'm literally waiting for my new Id to come in the mail it's renewed and everything" and he immediately just cuts me off and goes 'nope sorry'. Keep in mind I've been buying alcohol from various places with no problem what so ever lol. This guy is extremely rude, judgemental, and seemed like he was just LOOKING for a reason to not sell anything to me, and I don't know why. So unnecessary. I know it's just a liquor store, but I will not be back lmao. Plain out rude! read more
