I wish I could remember his name because he said no, I waited 15 minutes only for them to open two lines, Mr. No being one of the people who started checking. You're supposed to take the next person in line and the ppl behind me dispersed like flies. The courtesy is gone these days amongst people, but it was Safeway's job to take the next person in line & not have employees deceive like that. Ms. Timid called for a Service 1(all available checkers to come) a few minutes after I asked. It frustrating to be lied to your face and to wait only for the people behind me to hop in line for two minutes but get checked out before us.

They are opening a little later hours now which is great given that it can hard to get there after work. Overall, we have been impressed with the knowledge of team members supporting their fresh seafood section, and they are transparent in their sourcing of fish and shellfish, along with providing suggestions on how best to prepare them. Seafood is not cheap so if you are going to invest, you want good quality, and that's what you'll find. Generally, their fruits and vegetables are high quality as well, and sometimes you just have to sort through them to find the best choices. We also love not having to travel to Concord or the Tri-Valley to grab certain Asian pantry items. Once inside, there was a fish counter on the left side that featured live seafood and sashimi grade fish. I got some bluefin tuna at $29.99 a pound. Quality was good and the price was comparable to other specialty markets. I also got some ripe avocados for $1.19 each, which was way cheaper than Safeway. Aside from fresh seafood and produce, they appeared to carry a good variety of Asian staples. It was really convenient, because I only wanted a soda, for my drive home. I spotted a brand on sale, so I bought two! I found an empty checkout lane, and was out the door in a flash. Ambience was questionable today there was a guy walking around hacking and blowing his nose, glad I got out when I did.
