First time customer, will not be returning. The service felt very rushed. They are very pushy and pressure you to upgrade to other packages. The nail technician did not care for quality. The nail technician was very annoyed to make a correction on the nails that was smudged because the polish didn't dry yet, an error that was caused by the nail technician. When brought to her attention, she was not happy but it was her that rushed it. She applied two coats of polish and it didn't dry yet so it smudged. I wouldn't recommend as they care for profits and not about their quality of work. They keep asking you for upgrade and pay more but they don't provide better quality and service. They were able to fit me in their schedule and I highly recommend booking ahead as there was multiple people waiting when I arrived. I came 10 minutes before my appointment but right away at 6pm they sat me at the station and started the service. I appreciate how on time they were even given how busy it was at the time. They were quick, detailed, and friendly. A gel manicure is $30 which I feel is reasonably priced and so far for me has lasted well into its 3rd week. No chipping, no lifting, no discoloration!! From the start of the service to the end it probably took all of 30 minutes. Side note: I am pretty sensitive around the cuticles and other places have made me bleed disregarded my discomfort and comments but this place was not like that. I'm a regular here because I live next to it. My problem with this place is that appointments are meaningless. Every time I make an appointment, I have to wait 15-30 minutes. Even if there are two nail technicians working on one customer, they don't split and respect the appointment time. The whole point of making an appointment is moot. The nail techs were very accommodating for my friends and I. They for sure went above and beyond to help us out. We all got manipedis & felt very well taken care of. I needed a quick gel mani and regular pedi Christmas Eve and luckily they were open! I called ahead to find out what time they closed and made an appointment. They were willing to stay open late to accommodate me. However, I made it into the boutique earlier than expected, which I assumed wad a good thing. The male owner (who also made my appointment) sounded like this was an issue maybe because they were busy at the time. Not sure, but it made me defensive. I let them know I came early because I didn't want them staying after hours on a holiday. This somewhat put him at ease. A lady (assuming she's the female owner) and he took turns removing my gel nail polish as she was already working on another customer's set. I didn't mind this. After she wrapped up with the other customer, she began my mani. After she had cleaned my cuticles and shaped my nails, I was moved to the pedi section. They talked me into a gel pedi - "its cold outside, so regular polish won't dry as quick, get gel". I caved. Overall, it was an ok experience, but I appreciated them willing to stay open later to help a customer out. I also liked my basic red set. I would recommend. read more

Well... That was easily one of the worse pedicures that I've had in my life. SKIP THIS PLACE. I called at 6:00 to see if they could fit me in - they said okay but come in 10 minutes. The guy one the phone had a really rude tone when he answered. I came in and they seated me - they kept trying to up sell me and I decided to go for the Deluxe, because of the longer massage and paraffin. First red flag - she worked without gloves, second she kept checking and writing stuff for other people in her notebook, third she was literally RUSHING everything. I asked for her to cut my toenails down and she didn't. She said pick a color and I did but they didn't have it - so I picked another one - and they didn't have it - after the 4th missing colors - I went white. She didn't remove my cuticles, applied the gel all wonky, and had random dust bubbles all around. I asked her to fix it and she looked so annoyed. I got to the point where I just zoned out, because it's obvious I will need to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The massage was literally no pressure and like slapping someone with lotion and calling it a massage. This whole experience was just all bad. $50 for something that looks like my 5 year old niece did it. read more

Getting a pedicure and manicure is something I have been doing for the last 20 years. Anyone who goes normally knows that it is super important to go to a shop that has reasonable pricing, good customer service, good quality work and really important, a shop that is clean and hygienic. For many it's actually quite hard to find the right place because it's rare that you find one that fits all of those requirements, but from my experience, Rose Nail Boutique hits every one of those. To me, consistency is important and I have been coming to the same lady for about 10 plus years now. When I first started coming to her, I was so impressed with the quality of work she did and how every customer was important to her. Many shops just want to get as many customers in and out. When she got her own shop, she was sure to bring team members who also valued the same level of quality and customer experience. She took over for the previous owner of this shop almost 8 or 9 months ago. If you haven't been to the salon in that time frame, you should. You may be pleasantly surprised! We all know that not every experience turns out to be an amazing one, but this salon is one that that does an amazing job with providing that wonderful experience. The ship is clean, great ambiance, comfy spa chairs, and a ridiculously large selection of shellac. My fingernails and toes are well taken care of and in the very rare circumstance that one of them breaks or chips, there have never been any issues with getting them fixed. I highly recommend trying this place out! I know there are some people out there with unrealistic expectations, especially as it relates to shellac. Just as a side note, please know that shellac is meant to last UP TO two weeks and sometimes longer and that there is not a "Special polish" that keeps it on forever. It is a combination of having the shellac applied properly and the client MAINTAINING their nails. Yes, that's right, nail polish longevity is also based on how they are maintained after you leave a nail salon-how often someone uses cold or hot water and even how often you moisturize plays a role. If your shellac is falling off regularly after a week it is typically due to you not keeping it up. read more

I use to come here, but the business has gone really down. Customer service is horrible. And quality of work is rushed. I came in and it took 5 mins before someone said hi to me. There was no one in the salon. All the ladies were in the back eating their lunch. I don't mind them eating, especially since it's close to lunch. It was 11am. We all need a break, but you have to address the customer. When they finally acknowledge me, that's when they just rushed to do everything. I felt because I just got a simple manicure and pedicure it was even more rush than it would have been. My pedicure was fine. But the lady doing my manicure cut my cuticle deep. I felt it hurt but she didn't acknowledge what she did. Even when I started bleeding she didn't say a word. So I went to my usual nail salon but when my my person said she wasn't available (my fault for making an appointment), I was going to get a manicurist who doesn't provide quality work (had her do my nails 3 times before and I always regret it ). Anyway while I was waiting, I just decided to look for another place, and voila! Here I came! This place is on Industrial Blvd past Kaiser. Don't drive past Smith street or you will miss it. There's a parking lot which is super convenient so you're not hunting around for a place to park. 1 Star for friendly phone and greeting service. I was able to walk in and not wait. Although, I do recommend making an appointment. Just lucky today, I suppose! 1 Star - There's a bench with an umbrella if you want to sit and wait outside. Once you walk inside, there's also a waiting area. They'll have you check in with your phone number - likely to keep track of your visits and earn points. 1 Star - this place is clean with above average furnishings = tufted chairs for the customers, classy chandelier, and spa pedi chairs. You know how most nail establishments have the regular posters on their walls and falling apart office chairs for you to sit on? Not here. AAAAAND!! their bathroom is super clean (trust me, you want me to let you know because half the nail places store all their supplies in the bathroom...again, not here). Aaaand! They have a drink menu - yes, please! 2 Stars - For excellent customer service, product and delivery of service. I am super particular about customer service and product delivery. They have a menu to select services from. I had the gel mani and a regular pedi. They have pedi in a box scents so they have you pick yours. I ordered the lavender to de-stress. It was lovely; thank you for wondering . The other thing I look forward to with services is the massage and it was nice to have a 5 minute one for each hand and foot LOL simple pleasures, I guess. You can always tell if the product is old or has been thinned too much by the way it is applied on your nail (yes, I look and you should too). Came to have my acrylics removed. I decided to a gel manicure as well. Loan did my nails. Removal was easy and quick. For my mani, i brought my own polish (midnight grey) I told Loan I wanted every finger to be fun, cute, and different. I asked for a couple of fingers to have an ombré, in which she ATTEMPTED. She asked if I wanted foil on my nails. I had no idea what that entailed so I agreed. She had place a very bright/neon green and yellow foil on my finger. The next finger was a light metallic blue. At this point I didn't know how I felt about it. After 2mins I knew I hated it. So I asked her to remove them and just put some black gems instead. Loan began to give me an attitude over it. But I didn't say anything. It honestly looked like manicure a 6 year old would love.. I was charged $50. And about two hours later the gems were falling off!! And closer examination my ombré just looked horrible! I called two days later on my day off and explained I needed my nailed re done. No problem. When I showed up Loan was waiting and looked PISSED. She began with "you need to know what you want before it goes under the light". I was very clear this time around about what I wanted. As soon as she was done she left the station before me..never once apologizing about the gems or the shitty ombré. I didn't plan on writing this review until the attitude I was given. I absolutely love it here and all the ladies and Tim! I get my nails done about every 2-3 weeks and have always left extremely satisfied! The shop is right off Union City Blvd and I never have any trouble finding parking. The shop is fairly new about 1-2 years (I think) so all the equipment is nice and clean! I don't have a "go to" person mostly because I don't need one because everyone has been great thus far and I'm pretty sure I've had the pleasure of working with all of them! When I come in I'm greeted by my name and not just me, many other people too which speaks volumes as far as customer service goes. They strive to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy with their services. My favorite nail shop! THE SHOP IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AS OF ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. They always do an amazing job, I've referred as many people as possible. I always come to this spot for my nails! The ladies here are nice and so is the owner of the shop who always offers me a water when I come in. I haven't had any issues with my nails and they're pretty accommodating considering I'm one of the most indecisive people I know, lol! Their deluxe pedicures are relaxing and my feet always look moisturized and happy afterwards. I did have an incident where the wax was way too hot for my feet but it's not an issue since we just waited for it to cool off for a couple minutes. One complaint however is I wish they could do more cute designs since they can't always replicate photo references I bring in. read more

Ann the nail stylist tried her best, but I was not happy. I sat in my car with a heavy heart when she knocked on my window. She asked me what she could do to make me happy. I could see the hope in her eyes and went back in. She shortened my nails, and honestly I think that's all it took. I'm usually not the one to complain, but with all the expectations due to their 4 stars on yelp, I thought this should be written. I arrived on Wednesday afternoon with an appointment at 3:30. They were super busy and I wasn't seated until 4:30. I totally understand because it it prom season, but that was one red flag. Immediately after I was seated, the lady was very rude. I asked for an ombré French and you could see my natural nail/brush strokes under. Every time I tried to bring it up, she was blaming me for the shape of my natural nail. Another red flag. She then continued to paint over my nails with another color to conceal my natural nail, but it ended up looking splotchy. She said she had no time to fix it. 3 strikes and you're out. I ended up paying $55, but every time I looked at my nails I was pissed, so I went back to have another lady fix it 5 minutes after. Note to everyone: please do yourself a favor and avoid this place when they are busy. They're quality starts to decline. read more
