Terrible service from my tech. Skipped steps in pedicure and manicure. Steps she did do were 1/2 performed. Water cold. hot towel not hot. just everything unenjoyable. even when I asked for corrections she didn't do it. We popped in to get a pedicure one night after work. It was pretty busy when we walked in but they were able to seat us right away, which I was thankful for because we didn't have appointments. They have a nice selection of nail polish colors! We sat down in our chairs and the first thing I noticed is the chairs are pretty worn and you can tell they've been there for awhile. There wasn't anything wrong with them and the massage settings still worked, but just something I noticed. Overall, my pedicure was pretty good. I appreciated that it felt like he was getting all of the dead skin off my feet. FYI for all customers, it is cheaper when we pay with cash instead of card and for tip, they only do cash for venmo! This is something I've started seeing at a lot of nail salons but a good tip if you plan a visit to Rose Nails. I was overall happy with my pedicure and would probably go back. read more

Came here with 3 other girls to get mani pedis. All of the workers were rude to each person, rushing through our nails. One of the girls asked for rounded nails with the color picked out and they refused to do it and forced her into a different color and square nails. They were rough and rushed with our nails and then demanded money immediatly after. We felt rushed through the nails and like we were annoying the workers by being there but then demanded the money and tips right after. We felt like an inconvenience the entire time. Considering getting our nails redone somewhere else because they're so bad. One of the worst nail experiences we have ever had and very, very disappointed. read more

I had been a client for over 10 years at Rose Nails. Lyly was my Nail Technician and always gave a perfect Pedicure. A little over a year ago I walked into Rose Nails to find that Lyly was no longer there. Jimmy nor any of the technicians would not tell me where she went. I stayed and had my pedicure which did not last the normal month, and she did not properly cut in on the sides as I asked her to do. I went back 3 weeks later and had another pedicure by another technician and it was no better. I tried again to get someone to tell me where Lyly was working, and found out they were instructed not to tell where she went, and more upsetting, I learned the technicians are not given their clients names and numbers, so they cannot contact those of us who are long time clients to let them know they are at a new location. Over the next year, I tried out a number of nail salons in the city (even though I can walk to Rose Nails) and found a number of really good ones, but I still missed Lyly. My husband, who also went to Rose for his manicure went to a newer place that was on his way home from work, Tips and Toes on Roe in Roeland Park. He all called me all excited from there, he found Lyly and her daughter working there. I know a lot of people are looking for her, and I thought I would pass this along. I had an appointment for 3pm. I left 30 minutes later because a nail technician never became available. When I first walked in, there were several people waiting. Eventually, most of them left and said they would come back later. The man at the front, who I assume is the owner, told walk-ins he could squeeze them in even though he couldn't. I have gone to this salon several times. This past time I was very happy with how my nails came out. I believe the nail artists name was Sapphire? She did a great job!!! She was super kind and we made light, enjoyable conversation the whole time. This was the worst pedicure I've ever had with the rudest technician. The polish smeared and she acted as though it was my fault, even though she didn't separate my toes properly. She never spoke, stopped working to talk to her friend. and was just overall rude. I will never come back. Now I will have to go somewhere else to have it repaired. read more

My nails are all different lengths, they don't look very modern. I included a photo of what I asked for vs what I got. You will see my reference picture is sharper and more clean. For acrylic nails I recommend angels nail salon in overland Park they are similarly priced but acrylics look picture perfect and they measure the length so it is exact while here it was eyeballed. Angels salon shapes nails to perfection. The gentlemen who did my nails was very nice and the salon does look very clean and lots of nail polish options but also this set was done 2 days ago and they already look grown out like they need a fill, I noticed they were filed quite a bit in cuticle area so I dont get that much wear out of them. I didnt have that experience at angels salon. I won't be returning even though they are within walking distance l, at least nor for acrylics read more

Went here today because we were local to the area. Walked in and instantly felt like we were bothering them (despite having appt). My 7 year old got her "manicure" done in about 8 minutes (cost $38) before the tech told her she wasn't allowed to come sit by me (she did dip so her nails were dry). I have been getting my nails done for years and never had as rushed and horrible results as today. I get dip with an almond shape although they came out more like straight circles. When sanding my nails I at one point had to ask her to slow turn and turn down the speed of her machine because it burned my nail beds. At the end she put the quick dry on and wasn't going to do a top coat (because a walk in pedicure had arrived). When I requested a top coat her and her partner rudely told me "i am all done" multiple times before finally agreeing and talking about me the rest of the service. We had scheduled appointments but you could tell she was rushing to get into her next and that we were keeping her. When it came time to pay she wouldn't even let me wash my hands without confirming my Venmo had gone through. The entire experience was a nightmare and overpriced for the service received. Do not recommend for anyone in the overland / PV area much better options available. read more

This was the worst manicure I've ever had. I asked for a regular/basic manicure. I assumed I would get nail shaping, filing and buffing. What I got was uneven nails that were still jagged and rough. I asked her to file them so they were smooth, but she just roughed up my nails a bit and that was it. I had a bit of polish left on my nails from a prior manicure, and she didn't even remove it! I went in on Friday and had a pretty bad experience. One finger was bleeding because she was too aggressive on my cuticle-- it bled the entire manicure- and my other nails had zero clean up. Three days later my gel manticore is already chipping on 3 nails. I used to love this place but the service has become really inconsistent. Then, While giving pedicure the tub/sink overflowed onto my brand new shoes and purse. I showed up about five minutes early and two other ladies came in after me. These ladies had their pedicure started and half way done and I was still soaking my feet in the water. Had the rudest older woman give me a pedicure. First she practically threw the pedicure menu at me when I sat down. At 9 months pregnant, I needed a little TLC on my toes, since I could barely see them, let alone reach them myself. I called early in the day to make an appointment for that night, and when I arrived, I did have to wait about 15 minutes later than the appointment time to have someone start the pedicure. That being said, the woman who took care of me did a fantastic and careful job being gentle while she massaged my swollen pregnancy ankles, feet and toes! Rude staff- they directed my husband and I to sit in 2 chairs next to each other. The chairs are showing their wear with missing pieces of foam on the foot rest. There are plastic curtains hanging between the chairs which most likely have not been cleaned since they were hung. We were not asked which type of pedicure we wanted. They used plain water and barely soaked our feet. The skin on my feet was worse that it was when I came in. I had rough toe nails that I had to smooth out when I got home and the polish chipped in less than a week. Worst pedicure I have ever had. My husband had raw and tender spots on his feet after from the "sanding" that the tech did on his feet. Other than asking us what we wanted and telling us where to sit the only other thing that was said to us was - cash or credit and the amount to pay. Went here today after visiting a coffee shop next door. When I walked in they had many people in there so I assumed this must be a good nail spa. Boy was I so wrong!!! I was told it would be a five minute wait and told to pick my color. After about ten minutes I was told to go sit and wait in the pedicure chair. When the lady finally came to do my pedicure she did not even introduce her self nor smile my way. She did not use clean supplies but instead pulled out supplies I had just watched her use on her previous pedicure. She was rough shaping and trimming and barely massaged my legs. To top it all off after she was done and asking me to pay was the time I was finally told that they only take cash or check!!! I would think that that would be the first thing you tell someone when they walk in the door or at least have a large sign that everyone can see.
