Came back here again almost a year later and it's still great. The strawberry cloud with honey boba is 5/5! The mango cloud with brown sugar boba was 4.5/5. rose tea lounge has been a favorite boba place of mine since they opened up in the bay. i was so excited when they opened one in natomas! my usual order is their tie guan yin milk tea with black sugar boba. their milk teas are more tea-forward and quite floral. the black sugar boba is unique, it has a deeper sweetness than regular brown sugar boba. rang coffee does a pop-up at rose tea lounge as well, and their mango sticky rice matcha has been one of my favorites. the mango puree isn't overly sweet, and the cream top is perfectly coconutty! i like the addition of the little sesame seeds as well. i recently tried their pandan matcha too, and i thought the pandan flavor might be too intense based off of the strong green color, but i was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't too strong, and complimented the matcha well. read more

I am so addicted to this Rose Tea location. The Marshalls next door is my favorite one. I noticed that the Rose Tea opened across the way. I've had Rose Tea in Elk Grove and thought it was OK. But I came in on a really cold evening asking for a recommendation and they pointed me to their Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea. I have been addicted ever since. Every time I go to Marshalls, which is quite often, I always to stop by and get my hot milk tea. Since the weather is warming up, I'm happy to say that they offer it in an iced version too. I've started branching out into fruit teas and really enjoyed their Tropical Paradise Fruit Tea which is oolong mixed with passion fruit and orange juice. I'm gonna try and venture out and do more other drinks, but it's gonna take a while to get over this addiction. The shop is small but comfortable. You order at the kiosks. It's personally not my favorite thing, but since I already know what I'm gonna order, it makes it easy. It's located at a corner of the shopping plaza across from Marshalls. I've ordered this twice so far and the first time was a little better. I've also really enjoyed the crème brûlée boba latte. It's sweet and tasty, but you can adjust the sweetness level. There was a constant line on a Friday afternoon, keeping all staff pretty busy. Bathroom ran out of toilet paper and most seating were full. We were craving boba and were originally planning on stopping by the Elk Grove location but since there was so much traffic, we decided to try the Natomas location and wait for the traffic to clear up while having boba for the car ride home. I always get the classic black milk tea with honey boba. However, the tea was too watery and diluted even though I got regular sugar and ice. The boba was also either overcooked or old since it was so soft and soggy. My girlfriend also got her usual order of the Grape Cloud which she stated was too creamy and didn't have of the icey grape flavor that was typical of the other location. Her boba was also soggy. Overall, the quality is unfortunately lacking and not consistent compared to the Elk Grove location. We expected more considering our drinks were about $8 each. And just like magic, Rose Tea lounge, just opened! Did I mention that not only am I in love but I'm totally obsessed. If you love a good milk, tea and Boba, this is an absolutely must try! They were open for a week before their soft opening, and I really enjoyed the quietness of those moments. Then the soft opening happened! The place is absolutely exploded with people, which makes me happy for the business, and only a little sad for myself. I could not gate keep something as tasty! DINERS TIP: the soft opening is going on now and it's only for a couple of more days, and if you order in-store and not for Takeaway, there's a 30% discount. So if you're going to go, go now! Rose Tea is decorated with super cute decor, and friendly behind-the-scenes staff. Why are they behind the scenes? Because the customer orders at the counter through the kiosk, and the staff will appear from behind closed doors to bring the order to the counter for you to pick up. By the way, if you do take away, there bags, not only your super cute, the bottom of the bag has cupholders in it so that you can grab quite a few drinks, and they won't spill We've been there a few times, and we've tried several different drinks, as well as, the Taiwanese fried chicken. Let's talk food... They have a great menu of food options from the chicken, to the Dubai strawberry chocolate cups that while they are expensive, looks super tasty! The Taiwanese chicken like many of their hot foods can be ordered with varying spice levels, and they come with one sauce. I don't care for the basil leaves that they use in their chicken and I've had other basil that I'd like from other places. However, the chicken is nice, big pieces, super tender, very flavorful, and definitely a shareable! Drinks... drinks for the most part can be ordered with a varying degree of sweetness, ice choices, milk/dairy choices, and a variety of other add-ons based on what creation you wanna come up with. With the exception of adding the pearls to our drinks, we haven't felt the need to add more than what's already provided in the drink. The drinks are really chalked, full of flavor, sweetness, etc., and I really don't see the need to add more, but again personal choice. We've tried a variety of pearls that they offer, and I think for the most part, I probably will go back to just the original pearls. Aside from the fact that it's less expensive, I actually enjoy the original pearls more so than some of the more upscale ones. Thai tea: I wanted it to have more of that true Thai tea flavor, and I don't know if my pearl choice took away from that or not. It was still really tasty, and I absolutely would order it again. Tiramisu: it was OK. I love a good Italian tiramisu, but I think in this case I'd probably skip this for any future orders. Again, it was good, but I think I wanted it to be something more than what I actually got. I did an upgrade of the pearls and that definitely again did not help. For the most part, the drinks all come in one size. So that helps with decision, anxiety. The Matcha cream was really tasty! They definitely use ceremonial Matcha because the taste is there. If you are a Matcha lover, this drink is for you! The mango cloud: this is everything you wanted to be, and then some. It's almost like a mango ice cream and because I added pearls, I definitely would skip the pearls next time because the drink absolutely do not need it. We all tried it and then we all Fought over who was going to be able to finish it. Yes, it's that sinfully delicious. The crème brûlée: definitely a very tasty drink, and this is one of those drinks that comes in a smaller size. This is dessert in a cup! It's actually a little Rich for my taste, but the taste is on point. Summer melon tea: I think I'm the only one in the family who really did not care for this. I wanted to like it, or even love it. It's true tea, and therefore it's a lot lighter on the tummy and the calories, but just did not do it for me. The rest of the family thought it was a rockin drink. Parking is free and plentiful, and seating inside is really comfortable and outside of when they are crazy busy, it's a nice place to sit, work, enjoy your drink, or spending time with friends. If you're looking for an inexpensive date spot, and one that isn't the typical coffee place, this is definitely a great option. There is an option to order online and I believe that when the soft opening is over, that they will provide curbside service if you just don't wanna walk in. But they have some seating outside in front which is nice and that's something the Elk Grove location does not have. There are two touch screens at the front to self order. I enjoy their oolong milk tea and got the golden King one but it doesn't taste like the Elk Grove one. Or maybe my taste buds were off today. This past weekend was their soft opening in where your entire order is 30% off which was a good idea cuz I was ordering a lot, and in this economy now any kind of discount will help out. This is my third time coming here. My friend wanted to go to the Rang drinks pop up which was only at the Rose Tea in Elk Grove but now they're doing a pop up at the Natomas rose tea location also. They're having 30% off for Instagram followers right now. I can't have caffeine right now due to my health but luckily Rose Tea Lounge had non caffeinated drinks for drink options. I got their black sugar boba latte with oatmilk and 75% sugar. Extra .50 for oat milk. The boba was soft and chewy with a slight sweetness and that was enough for me as I tend to not like my drinks too sweet. With the oatmilk and boba together it was a perfect combination and tasted like caramel due to the brown sugar flavor. The brown sugar syrup was drizzled around on the cup so it looks like tiger stripes and some places the drink is named tiger brown sugar boba latte. You can't adjust the ice level but you can add black tea to make it caffeinated if you would like. I also ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken with medium spice ledges and extra seasoning and it was sook delicious! This is the third time I've ordered the popcorn chicken and it's sooo good! The chicken is so crispy because they make it fresh and comes out hot! They also fry and add basil leaves to the to the add flavor. Service was fast.
