Decided to try this place after my dad mentioned to me they had opened a new café in our area. Service was polite and friendly. I ordered a veggie sandwich which was filled with fresh veggies and my choice of sauce. My dad ordered a biscoff cheescake. In addition, we both ordered hot drinks (white chocolate mocha and regular mocha). Both delicious, and not sweet (which we prefer). I recommend asking for added sweetness if you prefer sweeter drinks. The setting was nice and calm as well, we will definitely be returning! Come support small and new local business!

Looks like you can get a hot coffee for a decent price, but I don't drink coffee. I was expecting French staff with the name of the cafe but was disappointed looking forward to maybe practicing my French. I tried a bite of the raspberry cheesecake and one of a tart. The tart crust was crumbly and the cheesecake was a bit rubbery for my taste. The inside of the cafe seemed clean. There was only one other person inside possibly because so many things were sold out and or maybe they were about to close. I would have to try some other pens to give a fair opinion.

Not sure how long this place has been opened, but it replaced the old subway. It had a very nice ambiance/aesthetic but the staff was so cold.no questions asked other than what can i get you. Not greeted either. When my order was ready it was just placed there and Idk how long it was sitting there before i noticed. The breakfast sandwich was so delicious and not your average croissant. It's not fresh but certainly good. I don't think I'd come back for the matcha but i would try their lattes. Heads up they don't have decaf

Highly rated bakery/cafe. The shop is new and clean a big plus for S. Natomas location. The cases are pretty bare so don't expect to see overflowing pastries. The cakes looked delicious though. I had a horchata cold brew and a bacon egg cheese croissant the total was $16 before tip which is darn pricey. The good news is the croissant was delicious and the coffee was good too. Customer service was lacking the gentleman who took are order didn't greet, thank or even smile at us. A Second Gentleman who came from the back likely the owner was more cordial. He asked if I needed help but I was looking over the menu boards and had already ordered. So this is a tough call food and drinks were good. However everything is expensive. A tiny Apple turnover is $2.99 and some pastries are $6.39. Mixed customer service didn't help deflect the prices either. Definitely worth trying but not likely a regular stop.

Captivating video, daydreaming as I heard melodic music and waited for my drink.

First time visitor. The place is nice with comfortable and modern sitting. The decor is nice and atmosphere is soothing. When we came there was only one person serving and cashiering. A group had just left and my husband and I were only ones there. The order process was a little slow but understandably since only one person manning the cafe, but my chai latte was very good, I also ordered an egg sandwich on croissant bread and added jalapeños, tomato and cucumbers, good breakfast. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, said it was good but didn't look like the one on the menu board. Going back to my chair it was perfect, not too sweet but sweet enough. Hopefully they get enough clientele to hire a second person. Overall order was a bit pricey but my chai was worth it. I love hot chai tea. Overall nice cafe for catching up with friends or getting some work done on computer but didn't see wifi availability.

    Pistachio latte

The best pistachio latte I've had so far! Not overly sweet, perfect coffee to pistachio ratio. The worker was kind and helpful. Perfect place to study and do work because it's so clean and cute! I went during a weekday and it was super empty, but I think it's because it's a hidden gem! The vibes inside are sooo different than the outside lol. Definitely give it a try.

This is their "strawberry matcha" Do not come here expecting good matcha... or authentic matcha.

This is their "strawberry matcha" do not come here for good or authentic matcha... the place was adorable though and their pastries looked good. (Emphasis on the looked)

Tiramisu on top shelf, pistachio cake and rose cake.

Great find when I was craving a little pick-me-up doing errands. Nice, bright, clean spacious interior. Gracious, helpful service. I had a slice of delicious pistachio cake and freshly made iced tea. They have a nice assortment of baked goods and desserts in the cases and sandwiches made to order, plus lots of drink choices. I only wish I didn't live across town so I could come in more often.

Pleasantly surprised to have found this new cafe in Natomas! The aesthetic is clean, bright, and minimal and had low jazz classical music playing to add to the ambience. They offer the standard coffee and tea menu (latte, espresso, chai) including special matcha and cold brew drinks as well as breakfast sandwiches (which you can customize) and desserts. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and the horchata cold brew. I loved my coffee; not artificial tasting or bland. The sandwich was a little small but definitely comforting and delicious. I took four desserts home (Dubai Chocolate Cookie, Tres Leches Cake, Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, and Strawberry Cheese Turnover) and they are great too! Pricing is average to cafes like these. I'm looking forward to visiting again! Staff were attentive, welcoming, and friendly, thanking me and a previous patron for stopping by. When I asked when they opened they mentioned they just opened a few months ago. Definitely worth checking out!

We came here for a quick coffee/food run and I can definitely assure you that it was NOT quick. We were waiting for about 30/45 mins and it wasn't even busy. There was 1 worker doing everything. There needs to be at least 2/3 employees running this place. The worker was touching the register and making the food all with the same gloves. Aside from the long wait time we ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. The matcha was not good so I had to get a refund on it and I ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant and received it without the bacon. Very unfortunate. Also, when I used the restroom there was toothpaste, face wash, brushes etc. as if someone is living there. Not sure how safe or clean that is for the business.

Firehouse's footprint seems to be shrinking a bit these days with a few store closures here & there. So, good to know there's still some dinosaurs still around, lol. This store happens to be right next door to a much busier Chipotle restaurant. I ordered my sleeper menu favorite, the Jamaican Jerk Turkey, large. It's a steamed hot sandwich. Good size. Could likely make 2 meals for all but the biggest of eaters (me), idk? But, a large by itself will set you back now $18.50 w/ tax. Ouchie. And you'll have to shell out a few more bucks on top to make it a combo meal. Essentially obliterating a $20 bill. Chock that up to inflation I suppose? Nearly $20 is about the absolute ceiling of what I'd be willing to pay just about anyplace else for a similar sandwich/meal. Especially considering you can get nearly a multi-course meal at a sitdown restaurant for about the same price (think Applebee's or BJ's Brewhouse as examples). Service was fine here and my sandwich tasted great. The open beverage fountains at Firehouse are among the best in the casual food industry with multiple choices from a higher-tech dispensing machine. Consider signing up for Firehouse's rewards program to build points towards free food and for the occasional perk. It's a winner.

Well a fun little hobby of mine is to enjoy participating in birthday freebies that casual dining places like Firehouse Subs offer, but some do come with qualifications-this establishment being one of those and the basic requirements is you have to make at least a $1 purchase 6 months before your birthday and earlier than 7 days before your birthday to qualify for a free medium sub of choice. So it was getting close and I realized I hadn't made a purchase to qualify so after searching the app to find a $1 purchase I realized I was actually kinda hungry so I decided to buy a kids combo for $4.99 and I went with a meatball sandwich. The combo comes with choice of drink or bottled water-I went with water and I think a cookie but I upgraded to the brownie for an additional $1. I ordered from the parking lot so I just walked in and with 4 minutes I had my food was ready. Parking at this location is kinda hectic while also being convenient as they share a lot with many popular businesses so it can get crazy in there but there are so many spots-it balances out. The lobby was nice and clean-plenty of seats-they have my favorite type of soda machine-the one that looks vintage but with the touch screen with the crazy amount of flavor options for your soda-immediately got me thinking " why did I get a bottled water?" I totally forgot they had a hot sauce bar-that used to be one of my favorite things about Firehouse-as a true chili-head,being able to try the different hot sauces was something I always enjoyed. Now let's talk about the food- The brownie was terrible-did not enjoy this at all-in fact I couldn't even finish it-tasted bad and for sure wasn't worth a calorie past the 1st bite-so total dud. The mini sandwich I got was the meatball sub-basically a meatball covered in melted cheese and marinara sauce.I don't know if I could've eaten than thing any faster-I enjoyed it so much-my initial thought was "what was I thinking getting a mini of something so delicious"I wanted more -it was so good-I don't have any critiques-it was super yummy-didn't even need any hot sauces-I really enjoyed it. In closing-mission accomplished-This visit qualified me for the birthday freebie in the future and I honestly enjoyed my little mini treat from Firehouse-I will for sure report at a later date how the birthday freebie experience went-but I'm thinking based on this experience,it's going to be great-Stay Tuned.

It's not skimped at all, and adding the egg from home just makes it a bit more filling and tasty. the vibe this place gives off is an in-and-out type of area. You order upfront at the cash register, pay right away, get your food, and then eat at a table. It is nothing too fancy, but it is a nice spot to stop for a quick lunch. The inside is very spacious with many four-seater tables that could be moved together for a large party. They also have a very small grocery market inside that sells sauces, snacks, ramen, and Vietnamese ingredients. Don't expect too much, as it is more of a side feature. I did try their pho before and it was okay; I would rate it around a 3.5 out of 5. There could be other places that are better, but as of now, this place is solid. So far I've tried the supreme cheesesteak and the hot cheesesteak; both are really good and highly recommended. You can't go wrong with the top three, which I believe are the original, the hot, and the supreme. I think the highlight of these cheesesteaks is definitely the bread. It's soft but not too moist, providing the perfect texture. It's not hard at all, like a Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwich, but there is still a nice crust and crunch to the bread with a perfect taste. The pictures don't do it justice from the surface, but as you bite into it, they mix the melted cheese of your choice very well with the steak for a nice burst of flavor. Pair it with their amazing original French fries that remind me of some really good fast food fries, like from McDonald's or other local fry spots. The service is what you expect from a local small restaurant. They're nice, chill, and very simple. You order, and they call you when your order is done. They treat you well, especially if you ask for extra condiments such as mayo and ketchup, though ranch does cost extra. They serve it on a nice little metal tin platter with parchment paper, which makes it feel and taste great, especially when you eat it fresh inside the restaurant. To my surprise, the first few times we ordered from here, we got it to go, and it was still good by the time we brought it home. Regarding the size, I would say normally you can't go wrong with the standard size, which is the regular or the small. It is filling already. If you're extra hungry or just really feeling a cheesesteak, the large will definitely do you justice and make you feel satisfied. In my photos, I've attached pictures of the supreme and the hot cheesesteak. You can't go wrong with either, but my choice is definitely the hot. I've also tried their other items, such as the standard hot dog, which comes with the same bread. Based on other photos people have posted, it looks delicious as well. It is like a standard hot dog, but I'm telling you, the bread is something very unique about this restaurant. I think that's what makes you want to come back. The bread, plus the way they cook the cheesesteaks and everything put together, makes this place stand out. The vibe inside is very chill, serving more as a quick-eat area. It is a nice place to just get lunch or a quick dinner. It's pretty small, maybe fitting only 30 or so people, and they're located right next to the movie theater. Plenty of seating inside and outside, during the colder nights & months they have heat lamps on. Their iced tea is fresh brewed, they have sodas, beer & wine to drink.

In the past, the staff would prepare my salad as I ordered, but this time I was told to place my order with the cashier and wait for it instead. I decided to try their seasonal Peach & Goat Cheese Salad and added a side of mixed turkey (both dark and white meat). I requested the caramelized pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and dressing on the side since I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the sweet toppings. The salad looked decent at first, but once I got home, I quickly realized the peaches were old, bland, and completely lacking flavor. It was such a disappointment, especially considering it's the middle of July, when peaches should be at their peak. There were only a few strawberries scattered throughout, and the ratio of fruit and red onions to the large amount of greens felt way off. Honestly, I hate when I can make a better salad at home. Experiences like this are a big reason why I don't visit Jack's Urban Eats very often. On the positive side, the staff were cordial and the atmosphere was relaxed. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. I'd skip the seasonal Peach & Goat Cheese Salad unless they improve the quality of the fruit.

So I'm continuing my quest to visit all of the Jersey Mikes in the area and tasting and ranking all…read morethe cold subs on the menu. This time I stopped by the location in Natomas on Del Paso Rd. It shares a parking lot in a pretty big shopping center with other businesses and so parking in plentiful. As I did at the previous location I ordered on the app using my rewards points to get a free mini sandwich. This time I went with the mini #6-Roast Beef and Provolone. This sandwich features roast beef, provolone, olive oil, vinegar, jalapenos, banana peppers, pickles, onions and lettuce on a rosemary parmesan bread. The store itself was very clean when I arrived and also not overly busy. The workers greeted me when I arrived at my designated time for sandwich pickup and my sandwich was ready. Not sure what happened exactly but the sandwich was kind of soggy when I finally unwrapped it and started eating it. This kind of ruined the texture a bit and the eating experience. The flavors were still banging and I truly liked that part of it but the texture thing kinda brought down the entire meal a notch or two. Overall the location is nice and the employees were efficient and the ease of parking was wonderful-just got a little unlucky with the sandwich. The quest continues. When we stopped in they were advertising a buy one giant sub get one for 50% off after 5pm. We decided to roll with it and we each ordered a giant. While we were there I noticed they were selling jars of their hot chopped pepper relish, so I picked up one. The team working was friendly and efficient and we were on our way with our sandwiches in no time. The giant sandwiches were giant! It's definitely enough for 2-3 meals depending on how hungry you are. The bread was fresh and soft, they had a good amount of toppings and I loved the hot chopped pepper relish on the sub. If you're looking for a quick meal this is a great option.
