The partner gets a craving for Boba Tea once a week. We wanted to find a new place to try and came across this place. They sell Boba, Donuts, and DIY Ramen. The interior has plenty of seating, a self help kiosk with photos of the drinks and it's very cute inside; even saw a couple on their first date. For my drink my partner and I both went with the banana strawberry matcha bliss, it was so tasty that we came back a few days later for another one. The staff was very friendly and periodically they even have donuts for you to sample in the front. I do hope they start to offer more traditional iced teas that are less sweet; please note you can tell them how sweet you want it and I would suggest 40%, but it's still a fun place to pop in from time to time.

The jasmine tea with lechee jelly is refreshing. The tea house ambiance has peaceful and satisfying ambiance with cherry blossoms and pink walls. Drinks were served quickly and were delicious.

I needed a pick me up I am so tired so I knew I needed some Vietnamese coffee so I open DoorDash and find this place. And let me tell you it did everything I needed. The flavor was delicious not to sweet just right will have to add to my favorites

So I'll start off by saying that I apologize that the picture doesn't do it justice! I got halfway through eating it and realized I should take a picture. But it also helps to explain my 3 star review so here we go- The first 3 bites were out of this world! Strawberries were well cut up, and every bite was a perfect blend of chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry. I thought, oh yeah! This is gonna be great. But as you can hopefully see in the image, once I got past those couple bites it ended up being a lot of clumps of the chocolate and pistachio, which in my personal opinion are just way too rich together. This may just be a preference, and I realize likely makes the cup less full, but I actually prefer there to be more strawberries and not be overwhelmed by everything else. I think if I was out this way I would try it again, but the one I had in Arizona a couple weeks ago I much preferred over this.

This place is really solid and I love the variety of snacks, drinks and food they serve. They even have pho! Plus I love the Disney music they play. Really lifts your mood. You can even take 2 Disney stickers for free. I saw my friend order drinks that allowed her to add a donut for only $1 so I was lowkey salty I had to pay full price for mine. I didn't see the ability to add $1 donuts. Also the mini Dubai strawberries wasn't on the kiosk menu for some reason. If it was, I would've ordered it, so they lost potential business there. Girl behind the counter was really nice though and seemed like she enjoys working there. Mango sago: it's decent. I like the variety of jelly and mango chunks but think I can pass on this next time. Matcha cloud: I like how there's no dairy but still tastes creamy. I've had a better one in the past but still think it's a solid drink. Strawberry and cookies and cream mochi donuts are bomb!

Stopped by for a little pick-me-up... worth it! Cute ambience, good music, sweet staff. I really love their matcha, and their rice balls? Oh, yeah, gonna come back for those when the mochi donuts call me.

Tomo Tea House in Natomas has been hyped on social media, which encouraged me to finally check it out. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. I like the overall concept, but I was expecting something more aligned with the social media hype and left feeling disappointed. The café itself didn't feel clean. The floors and counters appeared neglected, which was noticeable even from the ordering area, and the bathroom could have also used some attention. Ordering is done through self-serve kiosks, and the menu offers a wide variety of desserts, drinks, and even instant ramen. Since it was our first visit and we were hungry, we ordered a flight of their specialty drinks and several food items. A few items I wanted such as the spicy crab and shrimp rice balls were unavailable, so I opted for the egg rolls instead. My sister ordered the dumplings and noodles in chili oil, and from the mochi donut selection she chose peppermint, cookies & cream, and gingerbread. FOOD Egg Rolls - 3/5 The portion serving size was good, but they lacked flavor and could have used a sweet chili sauce on the side, but they were out of it. Dumplings in Chili Oil - 3/5 The chili oil base had a flavor reminiscent of seafood boil, which wasn't quite what we expected. Noodles in Chili Oil - 2/5 Similar flavor profile to the dumplings, but overall less enjoyable. Mochi Donuts I'm personally not a fan of mochi donuts, but my sister rated them: peppermint 2/5, cookies & cream 3/5, and gingerbread 3/5. DRINKS Flight of Specialty Drinks - 4/5 Pandan & Cream, Mango Lassi, Strawberry Green Tea, and Phin Drip. These were decent and ended up being the highlight of our visit. Overall, not a good first impression or experience but I'd be open to giving Tomo Tea House another chance, particularly to try some of their dessert offerings like the coconut pudding and Dubai series.

Strawberry Matcha Bliss with coconut milk

Very tasty strawberry matcha! I ordered it 50% sweet, with coconut milk (they were out of oat milk). The brown sugar boba was nice and soft. They have a big menu and sell other things like food and desserts. For as busy as they were, they didn't have employees at the front counter very often. I wanted to order something else, but I had a question and didn't get to ask because the employees weren't out front.

I came to Tomo Tea House with a friend around 8 PM and we ordered two drinks. I got the mango sago, which was really refreshing and as mango sago is one of my favorite go to drinks this one was really good however, some of the mango pieces were not ripe enough and made it a little bit hard to chew, but it was still fresh so no complaints, and my friend ordered the matcha strawberry drink, which he enjoyed a lot. My friend was especially excited when he saw that they offered hot food, since he was in the mood for something warm. Unfortunately, we were told that they had either run out of hot food or were no longer serving it at that time, which was a bit of a letdown. That said, we ended up ordering some donuts instead, and they kindly threw in an extra one for free to make up for the inconvenience, which was a really nice gesture. The ambiance inside is super cute and festive -- they had Christmas decorations up, and there's even a wall set up for photo ops, which adds to the overall vibe. Despite the hot food not being available, we still had a good experience thanks to the drinks, atmosphere, and thoughtful customer service. Overall, a pleasant spot I'd come back to, especially for drinks and the cozy atmosphere. Also, before we had left, one of the employees had made an announcement that if we left an honest yelp review, we would be able to redeem a free box of donuts, though as I regularly write my reviews, it would be cool to see if they actually go through with this and how!

Iced Mocha Latte and Caramel Glaze donut
    Luke B.

Great iced coffee and donuts! A little crunchy on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside. The donut was an extra $1 after getting a coffee, so I couldn't turn it down. Very clean, spacious, and pink on the inside. Service was very friendly, especially since the two self-order kiosk locations can be confusing (there's two different entrances). Would definitely come back, it's in a quiet and central location within the Promenade.

Grapefruit Green Tea and Mango Sago
    Cin-Yee S.

Tea place with more than the usual options, and I enjoyed the delicious grapefruit green tea I ordered. Everything from classic milk tea to coconut cloud to taro/pandan to matcha, so something for everyone, and a variety of desserts and swag.

    Jasmine Milk Tea
    Isselle T.

This is my favorite Jasmine Milk tea of all the boba places in Sacramento. I usually get 50% sweet and it's the perfect balance. When I go to other places and switch up the percentage of sweetness, it's never right. The chocolate cereal mochi doughnut isn't available every day but when they do have it, I get so happy. their packaging is super cute and high-quality. I've also tried the Dubai chocolate croffle. It's the best dessert ever ! Highly recommend!

Pandan cloud series and Avocado Sago
    Nini A.

Tomo Teahouse has quickly become one of my favorite boba spots in the area, and it definitely deserves a 5-star review! From what I've heard, this location used to be a Bober, but the transition to Tomo feels like a real upgrade -- their menu is much more varied and interesting. One of the things I appreciate most is that they stay open generally until 10:00PM, which makes it an ideal stop for a late-night dessert run -- especially after Korean BBQ at Daikon just around the corner. Ordering is easy and flexible, either through the self-serve kiosk or directly with the staff, and the customer service has always been friendly and welcoming. Inside, the space is clean and insta-worthy with a cute design that makes it a fun spot to hang out with friends or snap photos of your drinks and desserts. Speaking of the menu -- there's a ton of variety beyond the usual milk teas. I've tried the Avocado Sago, which was absolutely delicious: creamy with chunks of fresh avocado and grass jelly mixed in for texture. I've also had their sugarcane drinks, which are light, refreshing, and the perfect treat after a heavy meal like BBQ. Beyond that, they offer fun desserts like croiffles and mochi donuts. On one visit close to closing time, the staff even surprised my friend and me with complimentary mochi donuts that seemed to be leftover from the day. It was such a thoughtful gesture and left a really great impression. Another thing I love is the relaxed vibe -- I've stayed chatting with friends right up until closing a couple of times, and even while the staff is tidying up, they never make us feel rushed -- it makes you feel welcome and keeps you coming back. I'm not a hardcore boba critic, but I've found the drinks flavorful and satisfying. I like to try something new each time, and with such a wide range of options, there's always something different to enjoy. Between the menu variety, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere, Tomo Teahouse is easily one of the best spots in the area for boba and dessert.

My eye was first drawn to the churro, I haven't been able to have one in years, I was so excited. It was everything I ever wanted in a churro. I grew up loving apple fritters and since having to go GF, it is my most missed donut-adjacent treat. This one was smaller than a normal one, but that was fine because I could actually enjoy it without it being too big. Perfectly fluffy with apple pieces and spiced just right, it was delicious. The cruellers were nice and crispy on the outside and just sweet enough. Glazed with chocolate or regular icing, they are a perfect donut. The staff were polite and patient and the place didn't seem that crowded for a Thursday around dinner time. I suppose with Ginger Elizabeth's and Rick's Dessert Diner all on the same strip, there is a lot of competition for dessert places here. We were happy to try something new. Their senorita bread is probably my favorite item at this bakery-my daughter introduced them to me one day and I've been hooked ever since-they r very enjoyable especially when eaten warm. They also feature a plethora of visually pleasing donuts-that I generally consider pretty good overall, with some much better than others-my favorite tend to be the cereal based donuts they have at this bakery. Their savory selection of bakery items,I generally skip but not due to them being any less yummy but usually only because when I visit here,I almost always go for the sweet stuff primarily-that being said their Jalapeño & Cheese "kolache" is off the hook-it's so good-the ham and cheese and pepperoni and cheese versions rock as well.We can't forget about their empanadas or lumpia-it's really great stuff they are serving at this bakery. This particular trip was unique in that I had been recommended this app called "TooGoodToGo" by fellow Yelp Elite All-Star Malikah H. & on this app I saw they were offering "surprise bags" for $5.99 to be picked up between 630p-7p-so I figured I'd try it out. When I arrived and showed the worker my order, she promptly walked to the back and then handed me a bag that was filled with unknown goodies.I opened the bag and inside were a random 6 of their best donut offerings-I was pretty thrilled considering these donuts usually run from $3-$4 each-so to get 6 of them for $5.99 felt like a solid deal. What I really liked about this "surprise bags" was it gave me the opportunity to try out flavors in their bakery I never would've tried on my own at a deeply discounted price-I loved the opportunity to do this and look forward to trying it again sometime. In closing-this bakery is pretty great and the surprise bag gives me another reason to love this bakery-not that I needed another reason-I consider myself a Bad Bakers loyalist and nothing has changed that for me-go ahead and try em out-they rock.
