My date and I both ordered steak, both entrees were a huge let down, the $42 filet was flattened and had no salt or pepper. My strip was extremely tough, it came with "creamed kale" which was lightly sautéed and tossed in cream. Nothing to bind it it all felt rush. Went on a Tuesday for the early specials with a group of nine. Sat on the porch and people watched. Julianne, our server, was quick to greet and make us welcome. She was fun and knowledgeable. We ordered appetizers and cocktails, and had entrees from the specials menu. Wine was half off, and we liberally imbibed. The food was fantastic. The six onion soup and collards were the table's favorite sides. Green tomatoes with lobster, and scallops with curry sauce were fantastic appetizers. Let me start by clarifying this 3* rating; absolutely flawless food 5* across the board . Hilariously bad service. First: free valet parking and a beautiful setting. Gorgeous restaurant. Our server seemed immediately to be bothered by our presence. Legitimately like we were a bother. We typically tip 30+% at higher end places, so her loss. We saw her when she took our order and brought our bill. Possibly another fly by at some point. I wasn't asked if I wanted a second drink. Waters weren't offered to be refilled. Shocking for how highly recommended this place was. The food: beautiful and beyond critique. We had the fresh biscuits, pork belly with fruit chutney, and for an entree we both had the Sea Bass over tomato risotto. Flawless in the food department and our complements to the chef. Will I be back? Possibly if we don't have the server we did again. Others' servers were noticeably attentive and friendly. Unfortunately ours was not. Our experience at Rose Villa was excellent. Upon arrival, we entered through the back door to get to the host stand. We had a few options for seating: inside, front porch, or back gazebo. We opted for the gazebo. I was dining with 2 friends. It was an intimate area with 3 tables, which were socially distant. We couldn't even hear the other tables chatter! I ordered a Bloody Mary and biscuit basket to start, and the Avocado Toast Eggs Benedict for brunch. The Bloody Mary was freshly made. The biscuits were warm, soft, and delicious. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. Our service was sweet, a very nice lady. It was a great brunch experience with friends, but could be a lovely date spot as well. This place is such a gem! Came here with my Aunt after seeing the reviews and it did not disappoint!!! It feels like you're walking straight into the early 1900's when you walk in the door. I don't really eat meat so there wasn't much on the menu I personally would order, but if you're a "normal" person then everything sounded incredible! I got the seasonal salad which was VERY good. The hearts of palm and white balsamic vinaigrette dressing really set it off. My Aunt ordered the burger and she said it was very good, and cooked perfectly. I had some of her fries and could def tell they were fresh, and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the one vegan dish they had which was split pea and mushroom risotto, but added blackened shrimp (yes I eat shellfish sometimes) and it was AMAZING!! Squeezed and little lemon on the shrimp and mixed it all together and it got better with every bite! I will for sure be ordering that again next time I go back. Jessica our server was awesome! Food was top notch. Fried chicken tastes like memories of grandma's fresh home fried chicken from days gone by. Waffles were extra tasty! Coleslaw was a favorite along with the peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert! We sat in front porch for and Sunday brunch and were thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our visit. Arielle went above and beyond to make us welcome and seat us where we were comfortable. Nicky was a delight as our waiter and he steered us to the right options to suit us well. The fried chicken in this place was really good. On a certain day of the week they have an all you can eat special with the fried chicken. The first round comes out pretty quick and is very moist. The second round that comes out is a few pieces at a time, but not as fresh or juicy as the original is. Not sure why that is, but it was for me when eating here. The staff is very friendly and the service was fairly quick. I will say the atmosphere is a little cramped. It is a converted house the space utilized as best as they can use it. Their fried chicken is legendary. The Chilean Seabass is excellent. We have never had anything but an excellent meal at this restaurant.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 15th anniversary here and we made a great decision. We made reservations online, and our table was ready upon arrival. The server took our drink order, we opted for a bottle of Cab. TheThe brought out biscuits with honey butter to start and then our apps were Pork Belly Biscuits that were amazing and topped with a fruit chutney. We also had Coquilles Saint Jacques so amazing scallops with a rich sauce. For the main course my wife had the bourbon bone in pork chop with the amazing collards and goat cheese grits. The pork was fantastic as were the sides. I had the fried chicken, it was really good coming with the same collards and mashed potatos and gravy. The chicken was perfectly fried and just so much. The mash reminded me of a better KFC. Then when we made reservations they ask if you are celebrating something and they gave us a free desert. We choose the blueberry cobbler, it was fantastic, we also had a expresso martini while we waited for our Uber. The service and food were really good and we are glad we made this choice. read more
