The lattes are excellent and the latte art is beautifully done--definitely one of the highlights here. That said, prices are noticeably higher than most downtown coffee shops (about $2-3 more per drink), which adds up quickly. The staff interactions were awkward and didn't leave the warm, welcoming impression you'd hope for in a coffee spot. Also, many of the drinks aren't consistently available, so it's hard to rely on finding a favorite I can enjoy year-round. Overall, good quality drinks, but the experience and pricing make it hard to want to be a regular.

Environment: very nice and cute. I loved the seats where they had very nice and 'exotic' wall papers in my opinion. I also love the merch of roses and it was very pretty. The layout was bright and felt clean and organized. Staff: he just took our order. Drink: I got a cappuccino for $5. At first the flavor was nice and strong but as I drank more, it had more and more sour aftertaste. That doesn't mean it went bad but the beans were probably not dark roast and I wasn't aware. If you like that aftertaste, you'll like it more than I do!

We were recently at this store and after having our cups of espresso, we thought it would be nice to bring home some coffee beans to try since we just bought a new Swiss-made Jura espresso machine. Reasons for the low rating are: 1/ Store sales clerk's lack of knowledge and 2/ HQs team refusal to make good on the purchase. The sales associate should have had better informed us about the coffee beans that she had available were more medium roast, unlike the espresso that we just had in their cafe which was made from a darker roast. Since our espresso from this batch of Roseline coffee beans was less than satisfactory, we decided to reach out to their customers experience team to share our dissatisfaction. We got 3 responses from their care team. Each response implied that our brewing method needed to be adjusted and there was nothing wrong with their beans. The only suggestions made were invitations to buy other varieties at a modest 10% off. We bought Jura from Williams-Sonoma store for exactly the opposite reasons; we want convenience and superb quality espressos. This Swiss brand has figured out how to brew an excellent cup of espresso without all the fuss. Well, Roseline Coffee team, you have lost a customer for life. I am certain there are many superb quality beaneries in this great city of Portland. Good luck!

The ambiance is what attracted me, love the sofa seating nextdoor in the large lobby. The barista was very kind and knowledgeable. Ordered a Cortado with whole milk: too heavy for my liking, but this isn't their fault as I'm sure it was made correctly. I now know not to order this espresso drink.

Heard a lot about their coffee, glad to have a spot downtown that's easily accessible. Right off the bat, I love their interior and decor. Modern but still fun and vibrant with tropical wallpapers. Staffs were also very very friendly! They tried to learn every regular names; very cute. They got your basic espresso menus as well as a few seasonal specials. We went with the Golden Malted Pumpkin Spiced Latte and the Oatmeal Cookie Latte. Both were nice and cozy with frothy milk foam. Flavors were overly strong or sweet. All in all, a very pleasant morning treat. Definitely will be back to work and hangout!

Barista is a contemporary and clean coffee shop tucked away in a corner of the KOIN tower. The modern vibe and oldies music alone is enough to make one sit here all day. The donut was tasty and the latter was satisfying and warming. Speaking of warming...I've come in here twice this week, and Sawyer, the barista, is SO kind. I am almost convinced that he may be a demi-god because who else can walk around in this cold Portland weather in cut-off overalls and short sleeved shirts? The place is clean and modern, baristas are kind and inviting, and the latte....just go get it!

This was a quaint little spot. They had quite a few coffee options, but I went for the daily special and got a banana bread chai latte and it was delicious! I love that there are seats in front of the window so you can watch people going about their day while you sip your coffee.

A great coffee spot. The latte combos are some of the most well executed and best I've ever tasted. I had the juniper and lavender orgeat latte, and I wish I could have this every day. My friend had a vanilla latte with their peruvian blend espresso and it was smooooothhhh. The atmosphere is relaxing and hip, the vibe is light and fun before you begin your day. Stop in, grab a cup, enjoy the music and the banter.

How to measure a coffee shop? Quite simply, order a cappuccino and determine if it comes out a latte. That's what I did at Rosaline. I'm sad to say it was a latte. It's not all bad by any means. The espresso was very sweet and not bitter. The almond latte with maple and hazelnut was excellent and the coffee cake was delicious. Is it a measure of barista skill or product quality. You be the judge.

This reminds me of the Korean cafes that are sprinkled all over Southern California. We were delighted to see it here! I ordered a black sesame late and a black sesame mochi donut. Being only one barista, right after you order, he makes your drink immediately. You can hear and see the espresso shots being made and the ice filling your cups. Dependent on your order, he pulls out the cream for the top. I can see the black sesame cream top being very thick and full. A lot of patrons were ordering their tiramisu latte, and I don't blame them! It's what is very popular here. Personally, I enjoyed the black sesame latte very much. It was the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. The taste didn't overpower the coffee, which is nice. Their mochi donuts were good, too, with the consistency of mochi dough. Definitely would make another stop here if I'm ever around!

They are located outdoors within a repurposed trimet station, which add such a a unique Portland touch to their vibe. Although usually a 1-2 person operation, drinks always come out relatively quick! I tried the tiramisu latte and the black sesame latte. The tiramisu latte was easily my favorite. The cream top is rich and delicious, and when mixed into the coffee it really tastes like a classic tiramisu dessert. It's sweet, smooth, and feels like a treat without being overwhelming. The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. It has a natural sweetness with a deep roasted sesame taste that almost reminds me of peanut butter, making it both comforting and unique. I've also had their regular latte before and really appreciate the quality of their espresso. The coffee itself has a smooth, balanced flavor that stands out even without added syrups or toppings. A great spot to visit if you enjoy creative specialty drinks but still want genuinely good coffee underneath it all.

It manages to be effortlessly cool without being intimidating, and the quality of the coffee is consistently top-tier. Here is why it's my favorite corner of the Pearl District: The Coffee Curation: What sets Barista apart is that they are a multi-roaster cafe. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists. Every drink looks like a masterpiece, but more importantly, the milk texture is always silky and perfectly steamed. The Aesthetic: The space is stunning. With its dark wood accents, industrial-chic lighting, and those massive windows looking out onto the cobblestone streets of the Pearl, it's the perfect spot to people-watch or get lost in a book. It feels like a cozy, sophisticated library for coffee lovers. The Staff: Despite being one of the busiest spots in the neighborhood, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They are always happy to nerd out about tasting notes or help you pick a bag of beans to take home. The Vibe: It's a great balance of "neighborhood regular" and "must-visit destination." It captures that classic Portland energy perfectly. Pro Tip: Pair your drink with one of their fresh pastries--their selections are always fresh and complement a bold espresso perfectly. Love how amazing the staff is. And the coffee is chef's kiss. Thank you!

The vibe is definitely small bar coffee shop, probably more grab and go than dine in. For my visit, I opted for two espressos, their house blend and a Coava single origin. Unfortunately, both suffered from a grind that was a little too fine, resulting in bitterness that was overwhelming in each. The single origin had some promise, with some pleasant acidity in the background, but it couldn't break through the bitter. Things were a little better in my wife's mocha, which had a deep chocolate flavor and silky smooth milk, it paired well with the cinnamon knot pastry we shared. Maybe a place to stick with the milk drinks, or at least this was my experience on this day.
