So cute!! Service is super quick! I ordered an almond croissant and a tumeric chai and moth were amazing! The vibe of the cafe is so cute and I love all of the plants!

Cafe Umbria is chic, clean, and delicious. The beautiful tile work and array of plants makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee (or a cocktail, if you're feeling brave.) The space was so idealistic that I spotted a few people posing for Instagram photos during my visit. I ordered an ice lavender oat milk matcha, sweetened, and a macaroon. My drink was too sweet, but I take full accountability for that. Next time, I'll order it unsweetened if I'm also going to add a flavor. The macaroon's shell had a nice crunch and the middle was jammy and sweet. I visited on a quick coffee break, but the cocktail menu did catch my eye. I was surprised to see all that they offer!

Coffee is pleasantly strong and the coffee shop is brightly lit even on a gloomy day. The service is pretty quick and the baristas as very conversational and fun to talk to. Will definitely drop by again when I'm back in town.

Stopped here after visiting the Art Museum and loved it. The inside is narrow but the decor is kind of like an old school diner. Tje drinks were really good and the service was excellent. I will definately be back next time I am in the area!

First place I came to when visiting portland for the first time. Walked in and it was so pretty inside and when ordering the girl was so sweet and had complimented me after I had gotten my coffee. Speaking of coffee, I ordered the Cardamom Latte hot and a chocolate chip cookie. Best coffee i've ever had most definitely a 10/10. Definitely ask what it is because it sounds a bit odd to be put in coffee but i gave it try.. The cookie on the other hand was a bit harder for my own liking. My friend had gotten an eggnog latte, it was good we both rated it a 7/10 and the cinnamon roll cookie?, id say was good it but the cinnamon roll cookie was a bit sticky and would stick to your teeth but overall so good! Loved the view of all the buildings!

Great place to grab a fancy cup of coffee and sit. Plenty of window seating for people watching or if you need to grind, plenty of tables to set up and bang on the keyboard. Stopped in to warm up and the fragrance is intoxicating. Wish I had more time in town to hang out. The provide complementary chocolate squares at the pick up counter. Grabbed a couple :)

Smooth coffee, nice baristas, good pastries. Great place to have a cup of Joe to charge up pre-show!

Cafe Umbria is a welcoming, well-run business with friendly, professional staff and spotless restrooms . The sandwiches are excellent (ask for extra olives ), and the Wi‑Fi (pass: cappuccino) is faster and more reliable than most free Wi-Fi in the city. It feels safe and comfortable (police & security presence) whether you're working, meeting friends, or just enjoying a quiet date. The coffee is smooth and rich , creative foam art, and the atmosphere keeps you coming back for more.

Liguria: a must order Summer Special

The Liguria, a summer special espresso with Chinotto, was perfect for a hot day. The Iced Sunshine - lemonade, caramel, vanilla and cold brew coffee - was excellent. Friendly staff, good vibe. My favorite coffee in Portland is only one block south in the Oregonian building, but Caffe Umbria is the best of the chains.

Cute coffee shop 2 minute walk from the museum. Has a relaxed energy and staff is friendly. They have baked goods, didn't try but next time I will. My shot came with a little chocolate and a shot of mineral water... very Italian moment lol

I have probably spent a couple thousand dollars on their business. Not being able to pour my cup of coffee in a to-go cup when leaving is ridiculous and not standard practice. I found this out the hard way when I had ordered a drip coffee for here and, when leaving, the women kinda snapped at me when I kindly asked for an 8oz to-go cup. I'm on their bi weekly coffee subscription. I'm located in Portland and my bag of beans was routed from Portland to Detroit, then San Francisco then back to my home in Portland on my last order. How odd. I tried reaching out to them to figure out what's going on and there is no way of contacting their business. Their website has no contact information and I called multiple times and no one would pick up the phone. I finally found a personal gmail account linked to their business somewhere on their google business profile but no one ever responded to me. I find it to be very odd that they're running an online business, you can't contact them, and they don't have anyone attending customer service. That's very bad practice. If it weren't for how good the coffee is, PushXPull would be dead last on my preferred coffee shop. I'll update my review once these issues are addressed.

That's how we ended up at Courier Coffee Roasters and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop. The shop itself is small and unassuming, but the moment we walked in it felt inviting and calm. The staff was genuinely wonderful. My partner ordered an Americano and was asked which cup he preferred, two different styles. He asked if they were the same size, and that simple question turned into the most endearing moment. Since the barista didn't know, she checked the bottoms of the cups for size markings (no luck), then filled one with water to see if it would pour evenly into the other, and finally put them on the scale. Verdict: same size. The curiosity and genuine desire to give us a real answer was just lovely. I ordered a hojicha tea, which was very well prepared and hit the spot. My partner said his coffee was smooth and really good. We also grabbed a pear muffin, nicely done, with generous chunks of pear (skin on, which I loved). My partner ordered a chocolate chunk cookie, which disappeared quickly. There was a record player on the counter with a mellow morning album playing, adding to the relaxed feel. The whole space and everyone working there felt warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you live nearby or are visiting like we were, this is a great place to slow down, warm up, and enjoy genuinely good coffee, tea, and hospitality.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

There was plenty of seating available inside and outside on their patio. The service was delightful when taking our drink orders. The raspberry danish latte on their seasonal menu sounded scrumptious but the raspberry and the acidity of the coffee tasted a bit too sweet and tart for our liking. The black sesame matcha latte was also met with disappointment; the matcha tasted more like a steeped green tea with no earthy or umami notes. The black sesame helped deepen the flavor profile but I would not order it again. In a world where all coffee joints more or less run together, it was refreshing to see something that has more of a distinctly local flavor. The building is light and airy with a very large patio, extremely well laid out both on the exterior and interior, with plenty of places to sit and chat, eat, or work. The food menu, Weill, not expensive, offers a little bit of something for everyone. My friend opted for toast with butter and honey and a small hot chocolate made with almond milk. I, having just come from a lunch meeting, just had a large mocha. Placing the order was fast and accurate, and when the drinks were prepared, we were called up to retrieve them. While we were fetching them, a mere feet away, somebody delivered the toast to the table! We were quite surprised by that and a bit delighted. Definitely not expected. Sadly, no pictures of either food or drink this time - the toast evaporated before I had a chance, and to be honest, I find pictures of plain white paper cups pretty boring. Perhaps next time. The location is right on the edge of Ladd's Edition, just south of Hawthorne at the intersection of 12th and Clay. It's a delightful neighborhood, one that I often aspired to live in before I settled in where I am currently. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back soon
