Cute little staff with great drinks, treats, and fabulous staff. Listened to what I like, answered my dumb questions, and then made me the PERFECT drink. The chocolate croissant was delicious too!

These sandwiches are so delicious. I was a little skeptical because I like my bread a certain way but I was happily surprised. I will definitely replace the cheese with mozzerella next time like my friend did, it was perfection.

We walked about 5 minutes from our AirBnB for a sandwich, and we got two of the freshest Sammie creations! The bread was soft and obviously made today. And it was loaded with all of the freshest ingredients. This is a woman owned business and their service was exceptional. The portions were huge. And we were grateful because after a crazy travel day we were starving!

I like the Rosemonts Cafe. I had a peanut butter and banana toast dressed with honey, crushed peanuts, cinnamon, and cacao chips on sourdough toast for $9. I really liked that they put a good toast on the sourdough. They put a good amount to tasty peanut butter, a lot of sliced bananas, and a handsome of amount of crushed peanuts and cacao chips. The addition of the cinnamon and honey brought this toast together nice. Best of all, they give you two slices! Service was very friendly, and they offer inside and outside seating. I originally came in for some with eggs on it for breakfast. Hopefully they find a way to include breakfast sandwiches in the future. It is a "cafe." Cool spot for coffee and breakfast and lunch.

Great neighborhood spot! Everyone's super friendly and inviting. I've had lattes, matcha lattes and pastries and they've all been delicious.

This is a new locally owned cafe that has opened in the Windansea neighborhood of La Jolla. The location has no on-site parking so you have to hunt for one of the precious curbside spots on the side streets. The inside of the suite was neatly decorated and had enough seating for about two dozen customers. Pastries, fancy toasts, coffee, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards were the main categories listed on large menu boards hanging on the wall behind the service counter. The lady owner was very pleasant and ran the register during my visit. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich made up of black forest ham, gruyere, romaine, tomato, mayo, and honey mustard on thick slices of sourdough bread. A worker who assembled the item brought it to my table. The sandwich was cut into two halves with each having a good ratio of meat to bread. The hard swiss cheese provided a creamy texture to contrast the ham. I enjoyed a quiet lunch at Rosemonts Cafe and gave the experience a four star rating.

They had me at VG's donuts! My husband and I were looking for something quick to pick up nearby while walking our dog and I noticed that Rosemonts had donuts, so stopped in. They have a small display of donuts, pastries, and muffins that you can select from (they will take it out of the display for you), along with fancy toasts, sandwiches, and of course coffee and non-coffee drinks. I got a couple donuts, a danish, and a chai latte to go. The chai latte was delicious as were the donuts and danish. Service was very friendly and pretty quick. There were a handful of customers dining in and they all seemed to be enjoying their food and drinks. They have a few tables outside as well. I'll definitely be back to try their fancy toasts and sandwiches. They do have a rewards program (through Toast) and you can sign up when you pay with your credit card. I also confirmed that I could call ahead to place an order. Free wi-fi; street parking only.

Came by on Thanksgiving to grab a few sandwiches based on the reviews. Got 2 Italian and a turkey sandwich. They closed at 12:30 and we ordered at 12. Didn't get the sandwiches until 12:20 and also overheard employees "shut down" another order. Just opened my sandwich to notice that an end slice was also used for a $16 sandwich. Not sure if it was an off day but will not be visiting again.

Everything in the pastry case looked so good it was genuinely hard to choose. All the pastries were super well balanced flavor-wise, and the pastry itself was buttery, flaky, and perfectly baked. The croissant especially was sooo buttery and crisp on the outside while soft inside with the perfect amount of filling. The coffee was also rich, creamy, and delicious, and everything came out surprisingly fast even though it was pretty busy. Not a ton of seating inside and it definitely gets PACKED on weekends, but we managed to snag a little table on the back patio which made it such a cute spot to sit and catch up. Overall such a perfect weekend brunch/coffee date spot. Will definitely be back to try more pastries because I was eyeing basically everything behind the counter.

However, the food here was painfully mediocre. The panino alle verde was listed on the menu as a tomato and eggplant sandwich with mozzarella and basil. However, it was actually a tomato paste (no actual pieces of tomato found) with small pieces of eggplant sprinkled on top sandwich with a big, cold clump of mozzarella. It was okay taste-wise but charging $15 for such a simple and lackluster sandwich (that one could easily make at home) is insane to me even for San Diego pricing. The vanilla crossiant was so soggy that even the ends were soggy. There was no crunch, no crumbly flakes, just a sad, dense pastry with custard in the middle. The only saving grace of this croissant was the vanilla custard which was creamy, not too sweet, and had a nice vanilla flavor (you could see the vanilla bean specks). However, the custard did not make this croissant worth eating and the only part of the croissant I ate was the custard filling. While I was eating my food, I was surprised at how crowded this place was considering I found the food to be very mediocre. There was a constant line and everyone seemed to be ordering the croissants. I'm not sure if these people were just tourists or regulars whose only reference for baked goods and sandwiches were subway or 7-eleven, but I know that there are tons of better bakeries in San Diego. Even freaking Costco has way better pastries and sandwiches than this place and will not charge you $25 for one small sandwich and one soggy croissant. Note: I found out about this place because I asked A.I. to find "hidden gems" in San Diego. This is what I get for trusting A.I.

It's cozy and unique that makes it the perfect study spot! There's plenty of seating, and it's conveniently located near a bus stop, which makes it easy to get to. I'm not totally sure about outlet availability, but it's still a great place to settle in and get some work done. To note, the coffee itself is just okay, and unfortunately the almond croissant wasn't very good when I tried it. That said, the atmosphere is really what makes this place worth visiting. The staff is also pretty nice and welcoming. Overall, come for the great study spot more than the food or coffee.

It's funny and good to see it in different forms now. My next favorite might be Ube ice cream, and then an Ube cheesecake I had. These Ube pancakes were good, but maybe a little too sweet with the amount of syrup they put on it. If you've ever had an Ube donut, it kind of tasted like that with some syrup on top.
