Very pleased. I had them replaced a failing water heater, a faulty PRV valve, and some old water and gas shutoffs. When they reinstalled the water heater, it stuck out a bit more than the previous one causing some of my cabinets not to slide back in place -- this is partially my fault for not mentioning I had something there. I bring this up because they fixed it no questions asked and this is the type of companies you want to work with. Our duplex sprung a leak, and Rosenberg Plumbing was at our home within the hour after we called. While they were repairing the leak, we happened to mention our low water pressure, and inquired about their re-piping cost for the whole duplex. We realized that since it is two separate residences, it would be twice the work! The quote was quite reasonable. The job took 12 days, which entailed a LOT of work, including the little "surprises" that pop up along the way, especially in an older building. Our duplex was built in 1958, with all original galvanized steel pipes (I will include a picture of the inside of the pipes, to give you an idea). No wonder our water was down to a trickle for many years! At first, we inquired about having PEX pipes installed, but Michael Rodrigues (owner) advised us not to, since rats hear the water flowing through them, then bite through and puncture the pipes. Our best option was copper pipes, with a 10-year guarantee. Complicated was the fact that the overflow traps for both bathroom shower drains gad deteriorated, causing water from the units to spill directly onto the ground. Those were replaced, along with new fixtures in both bathrooms - beautifully installed, and also new fixtures and faucets in our kitchens, for the washing machine, plus a new outside water fixture. The job was completed was tile replacement in our showers where they had to cut through the walls. Above and beyond: The Rosenberg crew were awesome. Osberto and Jorge were there every day, as well as owner Michael Rodrigues. We not only got the re-piping, but we got all new, updated fixtures and a new water heater, included in the price (Michael noticed that we had an inferior brand water heater, one that usually goes out within a few years, and insisted that he replace it with a superior brand). Everything took slightly longer than we expected - the bathroom tiling was last (done by Miguel Garcia) to cover the cut-out in the shower, but the result was worth it! We now have excellent water pressure and new, quality fixtures. Before, we couldn't even wash dishes and the washing machine at the same time (or flush the toilet)! I used my home warranty to address a water heater issue. I made the request Friday evening and I got phone call back from Marie with detailed instructions within a couple of hours. The next day Mike came to inspect the faulty water heater and explained what the warranty will cover and what code fixes are required, which was out of pocket. It's a tough pill to swallow when you're going through your warranty provider but I was pleased with the installation. It terms of value, I feel like the cost was on the higher side but the job was done professionally and I have peace of mind. It's also worth to note that the job was done on Christmas Eve! Rosenberg Plumbing replaced my water heater a couple weeks ago, after I submitted a claim with my home warranty company. They had very clear and responsive communications from both office and field staff, showed up promptly when scheduled, was up front and consistent on pricing for extra fees needed to bring my (extremely old) water heater install up to code, and replaced the heater the same day. They also went above and beyond to add more insulation around the output pipe, and it's noticeably improved how long it takes for hot water to come out of my faucets (and probably resulted in energy savings, too). The cost to bring the install up to code was substantial and I see a few other reviewers have mentioned price. However, I'd previously talked to another company for the same services, and Rosenberg's quoted price was cheaper, even accounting for the benefit of home warranty coverage. read more

This business consists of liars and thieves of the highest order. I've never encountered a worse experience in my 40 years of dealing with contractors and plumbers than I did with Mike at Rosenberg plumping. Changing a water heater turned into a nightmare scenario over a long holiday weekend. I had the exact same experience as that described by multiple reviewers below on changing a water heater (review dated 12/13/23, 11/27/21). These guys forced me to pay $1100 dollars out of pocket to bring my heater installation "up to code" (over and above what my home insurance was paying them) for minor adjustments that took 20 mins and should not have cost more than $100 if I'm being generous. Keep in mind, this is over and above the cost of the heater and the installation ($1500+) that my insurance already paid them for. When I objected and raised my concerns about the cost vs. effort of the out-of-pocket costs, I was rudely told by Mike that "this is the game and how it works around here, get used to it" My hands were tied as it was a long 4-day summer weekend and my insurance company told me that getting another plumber would take a week which I couldn't afford to wait for as I had young kids and guests in my house You have been warned. Stay FAR, FAR away from this unscrupulous "business" better described as an extortion racket. The positive reviews are definitely fake. On a Friday night I noticed my tub/shower's drain was draining very, very slowly. Then when I turned on the faucet in my kitchen, I saw water was coming up OUT of the tub drain. Serious clog. Our 20 years old water heater started leaking and Martin was assigned to our case by our home warranty insurance. He promptly reached out and came on site to diagnose the issue. He offered several options and took the time to explain the pros/cons. He was the able to get it replaced the same day, and also improved the existing installation / fixed some code violations he had noticed. He stayed at late night to make sure the job would be completed and even followed-up afterwards to make sure everything was working as expected. Mike Rosenberg , the owner, answered my call for a warranty claim for my water heater that was leaking. Within minutes of handing up with my home warranty company, I received a call from Mike, who explained about his services, and other fees for items not covered under warranty. Mike special ordered my water heater and installed it within 48 hrs, only because the water heater arrived late from the vendor, otherwise it only would have taken 24hrs. Our water heater didn't work so our home warranty company sent Mike of Rosenberg Plumbing to our house. After inspection, Mike told us that we would need a new water heater. He asked us to write a check of $600 right away for some modification work before he would do anything. We had to write him a check under this situation. He installed the new water heater, which is the same model as the old one, without doing any modification work. The only thing he did was to connect the water heater with water pipelines with two new soft tube. It should be part of standard installation! We emailed and sent text messages to Mike for a receipt with the modification works he claimed he would do. However, he never respond to me. We were ripped-off by Rosenberg Plumbing! Beware of this company. Rosenberg Plumbing uses questionable tactics to extract more money from you. They were referred by First American Home warranty company to repair my leaking water heater. The plumber that showed up determined that the heater was non serviceable and it needed to be replaced. I agreed with his assessment since the heater was about 6 years old and it was making some strange noises before it started to leak. However he said that he cannot do the service unless I paid him $1,100 (he later said he can give me a $200 discount) to "bring it up to code". I was surprised because I thought it was up to code since I had paid $500 to my previous plumber when I replaced the water heater 6 years ago. In fact, that plumber gave me the same line "need to bring it up to code". I felt I was duped then because he did very little to justify charging the additional $500 but I went along since it was an emergency. This time Rosenberg Plumbing was asking $1,100 to do the same thing. It's very clear to me that this is a tactic that some plumbers use to fatten their wallet. It is my understanding that First American pays the plumber about $2,400 for this particular repair but apparently it's not enough for them. They will try to extract additional $$$ from the homeowners who are in most cases desperate to get hot water. In case you are faced with similar scenario please scrutinize and ask for a written itemized cost of the work and why it is necessary. In my case Rosenberg Plumbing refused to do that. You can always get a cash-in-lieu from the home warranty company and get someone else to do the work. read more
