Kevin is the greatest plumber. We have a house in Burlingame, and every often we faced with the clogged pipes. The first time happened a year ago, and then 6 month after, and then 3 months after. Every time, I had a hard time getting a plumber to come and look at the problem. Each time, we had to go to home depot myself/themselves to get an Snake (tool to unclog the pipe), and pay $300-$700 for them to open the pipes. It was a huge disaster. The technician has all the tools needed for the job. He had Snake, Camera and whatever he needed (I think he has $100K+ worth of equipments in his van) 4. Kevin, the plumber, fixed the problem in 1 hour while the previous plumbers would waste 7+ hours to do this. 5. Even though the technician was alone, he was very very competent, and better than teams of plumbers that I have hired in the past 6. Before start doing the job, he clearly mentioned the cost of the job UPDATE originally I have reviewed them as 5 stars. Unfortunately their work broke in 5 days, and when I called them to "please come back and take a look", they said they will come at 12pm. On Jun 04, 2026, Discount Plumbing Rooter Services came to my house to clear clogged the garage sink connected to the main sewer line. They decided two items need to be fixed. The blockage and replace rusted hose bib. First job: garage sink blochage: The technician used the snake for about 20 minutes. He repeated the process. I was sure that he pushed the snake enough to reach the whole length of the pipe connecting the garage sink to the main sewer line. After using the sink, he decided that the blockage was not cleared. I asked him; after using the snake how do you test whether the blockage was cleared. He said from the way the snake moves he knows that the snake is stuck at the bend of the pipe. I suggested to him to test the blockage by running the water. He refused. He said there was no need for that. His solution was to change the pipes and he may have to remove the wall. He prepared an estimate of $2,500. I decided to test the blockage myself. I turned on the water. The blockage was cleared. If I followed his advice, I would have spent $2,500 for nothing. The technician was not apologetic. He had to get rid of his $2,500 estimate and charged me $388.00. Second job: Replace rusted hose bib: The replacement hose bibb was not new. It was old and dirty. The technician had to clean it. They charged me $325.00. A few notes about cost of replacing a hose bib: In Sunnyvale the standard cost pf hose bib is $120 - $250. This includes cost of travel. The plumber was at my home. Travel cost should be excluded. In Sunnyvale, plumbers typically charge between $75 and $150 per hour. Based on the above, the charge should have been $150 or less. read more

I had two prominent plumbing companies review the situation and provide recommendations, which were identical in scope. They completed both a cast-iron trench replacement along my house and a trenchless replacement in my front yard in one day. During excavation, Christian determined that there was significant root intrusion in a pipe crossing the yard from the storm downspouts on the opposite side of the house. Great service. My kitchen drain was slow for couple of days. I used water hose clean up the air vent made things worse. I called a plumber who came in, was afraid to touch anything just added lye which made clog completely blocked the pipe. I had an emergency plumbing issue involving a sudden explosive leak that dumped several gallons of water onto my kitchen floor in under a minute (thank god we were awake and nearby when it happened!). We shut off the main water line to the house quick enough to stem the flow, but needed fast service to assess what had happened and fix it. On Friday we discovered our toilet and shower were backed up and it was only getting worse by the hour. We called discount plumber and they were here the same day, they attempted multiple fixes and unfortunately were not able to free the clog. However they did mentioned they'd need to come back on Saturday to drill into our garage to remove the pipe and manually extract the blockage. They kept their word and walked us through every step of work they were doing. They ultimately found a tree root had somehow made it into our pipe! They were able to remove it and then created a new pipe system so that if this were to happen again, there would be an easier work around. Loved the communication and attentiveness of this team! They re did the area they dug into with a fresh round of cement, cleaned up throughly as they wrapped up.
