He worked deep into the evening to unclog the system and didn't stop there. He crawled into the disaster under the house, assessed the damage, identified further issues, and provided clear, expert solutions to get us through a very tumultuous time. The issue was no hot water coming out of shower of my tenant's apt. As a property manager that has dealt with this issue in the past, even I knew what the problem was. So Alex came out and said I had to not only replace the cartridge but the valve system as well bc it was rusted. Tenant thought it looked fine. Plumber gave an estimate of 1900.!!! I immediately said NO WAY! I think with the rest of the reviews maybe they took the estimate at face value and not knowing about plumbing issues just paid for it and was happy with the service! My experiences made me question that estimate! I hired another plumber and I told him the exact problem to repair saying I had this issue before on other apts I managed. And they fixed it for $ 385.( which is reasonable but still slightly higher, but I was tired of getting another estimate). So see the BIG difference I save over 1500.!!! So just a caveat, don't go with your first estimate blindly. Second, I ONLY go with FREE estimates, pay by the job and not the hour mostly.

The details: I called Martin after a clog removal by another company went sideways (probably the topic of a no star review in the future). The first company identified where the problem was, but also caused a spill of sewage inside the house, then quoted me $5k to dig up the pipe and really fix the problem. To no one's surprise, I wasn't happy. So I called AHJ for a second opinion, and Martin answered the call. He spent a good 20 minutes on the phone, asking me detailed questions about the problem, and explaining my options (the other company did none of that). He made no guarantees, but said he thought he could solve the problem, so I asked him to have a look. He was at my house within 3 hours. The line had two objects stuck inside, causing backups. Martin worked to jet out one of the objects out, then used a camera to inspect the entire 80 ft. length of the pipe. The second object was still there, though, and it looked like digging was the only option. However, this is where the real magic happened! The second object was about 12 ft from the clean out, and it was not budging. Martin, however, thinks outside the box. He got out a large shop vac and stuffed the hose down the line. With the help of his camera he aligned the end of the hose with the obstruction and started up the vacuum. It took a while and was not easy work, but Martin eventually pulled out a 8" long, 2 lb. solid steel spring! That's no exaggeration (How that got in there I'll never know). It was Amazing! He also documented everything with his camera and thoroughly explained everything that we could see. So, I now know all about the good, and the bad, of my main sewer line, should any future problem arise. Thank you, Martin, for the exceptional service!

The only way to stop that was to shut off the main wove and that we couldn't use water anywhere else in the house either. It was around 5 pm on a Saturday evening. We called everywhere tried to have people come in give us quotes, and of course, most of them jack up the price to sky high. What was even more ridiculous was almost all of them doesn't even know what they were doing. I don't even know how to put it, but it was just my gut feeling that even if I were to pay them that price they were not going to be able to fix it. And I i was right-the thing that they sort of ran through with us what they will do to solve the issue was totally BS. Look back, they wouldn't even have the tools and parts ready. Now back to more details of how great Tim is. After calling and making appointments with many different vendors we could find and were offering service around that hours, for to Tim's TRZ business around 7 pm. I called Tim at TRZ which gave me a honest quote over the phone of $250. He got to my residence in about 25 mins and fixed the problem in about an hour and half because it was clogged so bad! I never write reviews on yelp but this man not only gave me a honest quote, he did not charge me anything more, I only had $300 on me which I told him over the phone. I wish I was able to tip the man more because he deserved more than $300 for canceling his plans on a Saturday night. I recommend Tim to anyone that is having any type of plumbing issues, his honesty, professionalism and knowledge puts him above all.

Excalibur seemed honest and helpful and they were able to come out first thing the next morning and get my heater replaced. They did a good job and the new unit looks better installed than the original. They also gave me advice on how to maintain it and what maintenance I could do myself to descale it etc so it doesn't break again. Overall happy either way the service even though overall it was expensive it was still less than other quotes I got.

well, my hot water on demand tank wasn't working, and i called salet plumbing. It was late in the day and Yvette (who answered the phone) said it would be about eight days before i could schedule an appointment. Eight days without hot water! Yikes! yvette was kind enough to hand me off to (owner) george and he asked me a few questions in an attempt to solve the problem over the phone. He spent a good ten minutes trying to help, and failing that, volunteered to try his best to work me into his busy schedule. The very next day, Yvette called and said she had an opening, could squeeze me in that day and two hours later, outstanding employee, alan, was at my door. He diagnosed the problem, pulled out a paper clip (seriously!) and "temporarily" fixed me up, so that i at least had hot water until he could get back to do some proper maintenance. (i asked alan if his last name was "mcgyver''). Anyway, today, alan came and fixed everything-- and i am a happy camper. And in writing this review, i noticed "Triston C" had the same no-hot-water situation as i did, and in HIS review, he, too, had alan coming to the rescue. And, like Tristan C, i am also making Salet Plumbing my go-to plumbers. read more

Excellent. Don't hesitate in hiring these professionals. They are extremely knowledgeable about a wide range of plumbing problems and highly skilled at repairing. They provide a complimentary consultation with estimate. If repairs are simple and can be done on the spot, they are happily able to do so at a reasonable price. Readily available for an appointment within one week of calling, confirmed one day ahead with an email notification, and arrived on time. The front office is courteous and efficient. Technicians are extremely honest - answered my many questions about a whole bunch of concerns in addition to the one that I initially called about, didn't try to up-sell services or find problems that didn't really exist (i.e. replace parts that don't actually need replacing), were tidily dressed in a clean company uniform and wore shoe covers inside the house. These guys are the real deal -- true professionals who have made a career of plumbing and have decades of experience/knowledge; not like a lot of "hacks-for-hire" who don't really have plumbing skills but are more interested in making a quick buck. Timothy of Daystar plumbing referred me to George Salet Plumbing as the re-pipe work I need done was too big of a job for him. George said he would send Alan, one of his journeyman plumbers out between 3:00 and 5:00 PM the following day. Alan arrived promptly at 3:00 pm. He assessed the situation and emailed me a bid from his Ipad right then and there. I called the office the next day to schedule the work to be done the following week. Alan arrived at exactly 9:00 am as the office said he would. He got to work right away and I was impressed with knowledge and workmanship. He cleaned up as he moved from area to area. He accomplished more than I had hoped for. This is one hard working man. Oh, did I mention it was his birthday! Our water pressure is so good now that we fight over who is going to do the dishes. This review is for Scott. I don't know the company.. maybe they are great and maybe George is great. However, the guy who came to fix my water heater was awful and arrogant. Came to fix my water heater. Did not answer any of my questions.. at the end, gave me an estimate of $419 for 40 min work!!! Scott himself admitted that it won't me more than 40 min. The unit itself is 5 year old and the part is still under warranty. $420 for 40 min? His rate is $600 per hour? Is he a rocket sciences? How did he come up with this rate? At the end another yelp recommended plumber came and fix it for $125. He did a great work. Scott was greedy and not nice at all.. Stay way if your money is important to you. read more

We had suffered with our too-low-flow bathroom toilet for 20 years, vowing to replace it, but never getting around to it out of fear that the job of removing it and installing another one might damage our tile floor and be too expensive. Finally, we found the right replacement toilet, and called on George Salet Plumbing to remove the old one and put in the new replacement. As usual, they did the job perfectly. I want to give a particular shout-out to Isaac, the plumber who did it so efficiently and beautifully, without a flaw. Alan arrived on time for our appointment and gave me the options for repairing my rusted kitchen sink pipes and clogged drains in the upstairs bath. My house is old, and all the plumbing is most likely original, but Alan seemed unfazed by this, and explained how he would fix the problems that had frustrated another plumber to the point that he walked out of my house cussing up a blur storm. Alan fixed both problems, in a timely manner for the price I was quoted, and you would never know he was here, except that I can now use my kitchen sink, and the drains in the bath are running clear. Company was recommended by my great handy man, Stuart Habley, to fix frozen shower valve. Jose and Mo came out an hour after making call and did their best to fix the issue but couldn't without major repair. Yes, it was not inexpensive, but the next morning they were there with all the equipment and finished in less than 3 hours. The new pipes have the lastest shut off valve and the flow thru the shower head is greatly improved. They also picked up a leaking toliet and fixed it also. Hope I don't need them again soon, but I will definitly call them for future plumbing repairs read more

A broken faucet in my shower this morning!! No water!! I called them at 8:30AM. By 9:00 Mr. Steven Cabral was here to fix it. The team at George Salet Plumbing is the best in the Bay Area. I've had them to my condo several times over the years--once to repair the starter of a gas fireplace (very few plumbers will provide this service), and more recently Mike and Ryan came out to fix some problems in a kitchen and bathroom sink. I though replacing a leaky toilet would take a couple of days. Nope, Alan and Tyler did it in an hour. They had what I needed in their truck and in one hour everything was done. Straight forward and honest. Mike scheduled Adrill to arrive between 3-5 p.m. on Memorial Day, and Adrill arrived within the promised timeframe. He quickly assessed the toilet and tub issue, went to his truck for his tools, and had everything fixed within five minutes. Adrill was professional, courteous, and efficient throughout the visit. The cost was $350, which felt a little high for such a quick repair, but it was worth it for the same-day holiday service and the professionalism provided. You really do get what you pay for. I will definitely use Heise's Plumbing again. Their quick response time and excellent service continue to impress me.
