When I contacted them regarding the order, I was told store credit only. Really? The staff is nice, friendly, knowledgeable and will advise you on every and any wine-related question you may have. The hours are great whether you're an early bird or a night owl (plus they're open seven days a week!), and they have the best music playing inside at all times that puts you in a good mood. First of all let me start off by saying these guys are not expensive and by no means claim to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics! With that said they are your local neighborhood wine store that offers great selection, great hours & a friendly staff. My husband and I are regulars and they always know what we want and if they are out of stock are knowledgeable enough to offer suggestions based on our order history. Oh and did I mention....they deliver!!! Because of their great hours you can extend that dinner with friends to a mini after party at your place! Yes, prices are slightly higher but not outrageous. Service is excellent - they help when you want it and leave you alone when they senses you don't need help. If it weren't for wanting to avoid the public drunkards wandering around FiDi during St. Patrick's Day I would have made it over to one of the other wine shops in the neighborhood that have more reasonably priced wines. Thank God! Finally a shop down here that doesn't suck! After living on Exchange and William for a couple years prior to Rosetta, I was prey to the other (there are two I believe) little shops in the area. One is your typical booze-hound liquor shop with extremely limited hours and the selection fit for a beggar who has finally scraped together their pennies for a pint. The other, a snobby wine shop hidden beneath a Starbucks that offers pretention and a smaller selection of liquor than the producers supply. My first time walking into Rosetta was almost 10pm (unheard of anywhere below Houston), and the music was blasting and the place was bustling. I came in for wine and was blown away by the crazy selection that they carry. Anything and everything from $10 to several hundred. The cute girl behing the register helped me pick out a couple awesome bottles; one a crozes-hermitage from cave du tain for around $35, and another awesome white wine from Spain, Cantarranas which was only about $10. I was not only impressed by all the selection there, but also that she helped me find amongst all the wines, two amazing bottles for under $50 which me and my roomates loved. I have since been back several times and found that they have free wine and liquor tastings almost daily which is equally amazing. I will never shop anywhere else, nor should anyone in this area! Small neighborhood wine and liquor store in the heart of FiDi. I come here because of the friendly service, they always seem to have good recommendations; good selection of quality wines from around the world (we were originally impressed with their South African selection); late openings (to 10pm); tasting almost every evening; and the respect for the four legged companions as they have their own water trough outside. When you don't have space to stock up on wines at home it is great to have this place within walking distance. read more

This is a great wine shop in the Financial District. They have an impressive selection. The staff is always extremely helpful and recommends superb wines at whatever price point you are looking for. They also have a discount card for regulars which is nice. I love that they have wine tastings of smaller brands so you get to sample wines that you normally wouldn't know about. Finally, they're open late most nights (which is great when you need a bottle last minute). I walked into Rosetta wines during a wine tasting event, it was a pleasant visit and since been a regular customer. The staff is friendly and always ready to help and answer any questions - I place orders for delivery over the phone and i get my orders within ten to fifteen minutes of placing the order. As an industry insider and recent customer to this shop beware at all costs industry standard markup for a wine is 50% and spirits 33% give or take in certain circumstances this store finds off brand wines meaning a brand that most competitors wont have and charges over 100% on at least 90% of the wines The staff has no idea what the true value of wine is because they only know the gouged prices they see so don't expect much there To see people getting ripped off like that was astounding they had Pappy van winkle that you could get almost 500 dollars cheaper up the street if Also most of their wines are available at Trader Joes at a fraction of the cost like Chapelle Rose or Joel Gott or Faust at 40 bucks at Traders as opposed to 71.99 as well the Rose section here sucks highest rated Chapelle a trader joes wine eughhh buying Xavier Floret at under 10 and charging 23.99 my god if you shop here you need your head examined read more

Ordered two bottles of Godiva Vodka due to the fact that it is impossible to find in stores (for reasons I don't understand, because it's disgusting). Instead I received two bottles of chocolate liquor (even more disgusting). This was not a reading comprehension mistake on my part as I verified my original order was correct on the emailed receipt. In hindsight this is unsurprising given the prominent disclaimer about misidentified stock and pricing discrepancies...why even run an internet retail site if you can't manage it? Is it weird that my local wine and liquor store has become my favorite neighborhood haunt? Its very social- I have met all sorts of people from the nieghborhood and I love the staff-Elle is delighted to make recommendations and always has a smile on her face-she certainly has the customer service thing down and Mike and Sherman are always ready to help! For those of you who are more concerned about the booze, they've got a great selection, which is well organized and easily accessible. Also, they CONSTANTLY have wine tastings-its hard to go in there and not walk out with a buzz, but more importantly (?) I have been introduced to all sorts of wines I may not have otherwise tried. I ordered a few bottles online via their website. I received a quick email confirmation (16 days ago). I called yesterday and the person had no idea why my order had not shipped but that someone would get back to me yesterday or today. I called again since today is almost over and the person who answered did have two reasons why my order didn't ship (NEITHER reason was communicated to me at all): 1. Shipping address different from billing address. Hardly uncommon but, sure, if they called or emailed me (I checked my spam and no email there either), I would have done whatever anti-fraud measure they wanted, and 2. They didn't have two of the four bottles I ordered. I don't like when a retailer doesn't keep their online inventory up-to-date. But, I realize these things happen. The one star review is almost entirely about their awful (or really non-existent) communication. I had to call twice, more than two weeks after my order, to find out what was really going on. Of course, I canceled my order and will never order from them again. read more
