After much searching and comparing I selected a car from Galaxy Auto. The exterior of the car is pristine, as well the seats and interior. There were some issues from the start regarding the glove box, center console and a side storage compartment. "The glove box sticks a little" was the response when I informed the salesman. After trading in my car and negotiating with the salesman I left still feeling I was getting a raw deal. But the feeling was overshadowed by the pretty car I was soon driving. I took it to the local MB dealer to have it checked out. Needs new front tires $600 and aligned $200 Needs the "sticking" glove box cable replaced. I watched some videos on how the fix the "sticking glovebox". Turns out it requires the entire glove box be removed to replace a pneumatic cable that controls all the storage compartments around the interior of the vehicle. $300 The center console and side storage must be replaced as the locking mechanisms are broken/missing. $500 The Active Body Control (ABS) fluid is old and needs to be replaced $600 And the washer fluid pissers need to be replaced, price TBD. So a car overpriced at $20,997, out the door for over $24k including 2 yr extended warranty and I still had to come out of pocket over $2k. Not a great deal, don't recommend this dealership. But the car is pretty. read more

They called 5 different banks for finding but as it was late in the day no one was available for a quote. I am really surprised by the negative reviews - I just bought by THIRD car from Sal and Dan at Galaxy and I've been extremely happy with all 3 cars and all 3 buying experiences. If you want a fair price on a used premium/sport/luxury car that's in excellent condition, this is the place for you. If you just want a cheap, crappy car, go somewhere else - these guys really care about the cars they sell, their reputation, and the happiness of their customers: The first car I bought was almost totally restored (2006 BMW) - new rear main seal, new valve cover/gaskets, new tires, repainted front bumper, new brakes, and much more. I drove it for a year before I put any money into it, and even that was all preventative maintenance/fluids. The second car (2008 BMW) had a couple interior issues after I bought it - one of the thigh extenders on the passenger side power seat went out, and I noticed the steering column cover wasn't attached properly (result of a recent repair). They actually offered to fix the items at cost, after they had already restuffed the driver-side upholstery for me for free. Other than that, the car was mechanically and cosmetically flawless for the entire time I owned it (about a year). On my most recent purchase (2012 BMW), I did a thorough inspection of the cosmetics on the car, and also had a pre-purchase inspection done at Niello BMW (closest dealer). On the previous 2 cars, nothing came up on the PPI from Niello (actually, one had a horn out but it was only 1 of 2 so the horn was still functional - not a deal-breaker for me), but on this recent car, a couple things came up: bushings and brakes/tires. They took care of the bushings and brakes for me for free, and I met them 1/2 way by taking on the tires - more than fair considering the excellent condition of the car. They also fixed a sensor on the back door and a trim piece that I pointed out was deformed. Oh, and they re-dyed the passenger seat, which had some wear on the leather. Now it looks better than the driver's side! They worked with me on my trade-in and got me very competitive financing. Honestly, it's hard to imagine a dealer working harder for their customers - as a result, they're super popular! So, make sure to call in advance if you want an appointment/to check out a specific car. And, they know a TON about the cars they sell, so make sure to ask plenty of questions. Also, get a PPI on ANY used car you're going to buy, from anyone! Galaxy will make sure you get taken care of if the car needs anything, which is unusual considering the amount of work they tend to put in to the cars they sell. Thanks Sal and Dan! UPDATE! After I originally purchased the car, I drove it occasionally since I had another car. Once I began to drive it more frequently, I started to notice a burning smell. Took it to Audi of Oakland for diagnostic. They found the suspension was shot (bushings, control arms both sides) to the point if I make a quick sharp turn control arms could snap, oil pan leak, and break 45%. So they obviously didn't do the required by law safety inspections or repairs on the car. What Audi found is that they just used band-aid methods to make sure car holds together until sold. I called the guy I purchased it from (Dan) I think. Only 2 college guys in over their heads there, so whichever name is closer to Dan.Anyway, I sent him all the documentation from Audi. He said he would have his mechanic do the repairs for free after I had to point out it was against the law to sell, because car was unsafe due to suspension. I sent car to him, and got it back. Took car to have it checked out again, and he never fixed the oil pan leak like he said he did, and partially fixed suspension (signed documents claiming they did). Seriously considering taking further legal action. And as far as their BS extended warranty that I purchased, it's a waste of time people. If the wording in the warranty pamphlet does not say specifically word for word what the problem is on the car, the warranty company WILL NOT cover anything. I wasted $2500 trying to secure my purchase through a bogus a$$ company. Meanwhile, they beg you to come on here and give them a 5 star review. I fell for it, but lesson learned. Wouldn't waste your time going here. They pull the typical salesman's bs at this dealer rather than caring about the customer. I came in to potentially buy a 2014 BMW 335i in alpine white with around 79k miles on it and I was pre approved by Patelco CU before coming in. The salesmen assisting me refused to believe that I had been approved for 2.75% because I am 18 year's old without a co signer. He then went on to try and get me financed through the credit unions they partner with, such as meriwest. I work at a exotic car dealer in the bay area and I know salesmen's bs and tricks. He said that there no way that Patelco is going to give me a 2.75% because I am so young and a first time buyer. I then left after driving an hour and a half to see the car, I wasn't going to handle their bs anymore. Two days later, I go to see a 335i with 44k miles at BMW of Pleasanton and had no problem buying with my 2.75%. Unfortunate that you can loose a customer by not being honest. I was in the market for either an E46 M3 or an E39 M5 and was looking all over the country to try and find one. I came across Galaxy Autosport and was put in contact with Sal. They were selling a 1 owner, clean carfax M3 with 100k miles and it looked pretty darn clean. I had them drop it off at a local independent BMW mechanic so a PPI could be done. Things came back good overall but with a few recommended things to service on the car. Sal was willing to work with me and did all of the maintenance that the shop suggested to me (around 1,000 dollars worth) and even took off a few hundred to help offset the cost of shipping the car up to Oregon. It only took a few days and now the beauty is sitting in my driveway. Sal was easy to get in touch with and all of the necessary paperwork and title came overnight in the mail.
