I had a LARGE project including a pool build and travertine patio as well as some turf placement and perimeter placement of premium mangaris wood fencing. This was no small task and I expected and received a premium builder with rosewood. Danny was very patient with my wife and I as we had a lot of questions through the process as well as particular necessities. We even changed our mind after our first choice fencing was already being put up. Danny dealt with these changes with grace and patience. PV isn't exactly the easiest place to build. Danny worked with the city and with my architect also and he was persistent and NEVER got distracted with other projects. I can't think of anything worse than abandonment and Rosewood was consistently there for us through the many ups and downs of going from a (kind of nasty) grassy dog run to a travertine patio pool mini oasis :) Great job Rosewood and Danny! I highly recommend RoseWood Landscape for anyone who is considering a landscaping project. The team provided high quality end-to-end service including architecture and design, planning, coordination with the city, project management and execution of the project. We purchased our property in 2020 and the back yard was in great need of an upgrade, we are very happy with the end result they were able to deliver and are proud to share it with family and friends as an awesome social space. We worked with two other landscaping companies before finding RoseWood and they weren't able to navigate building codes, deliver a quality result or were way over budget/schedule - RoseWood hit the mark in all regards. We had several challenges to work during the planning process including working within the city's codes and a challenging and disgruntled neighbor. RoseWood spent the time to understand our needs and desires, iterate with us on different plans and ultimately arrive at something that we were happy with. They were instrumental in getting the city on board with our project and cut through a lot of red tape given their prior working relationship working with the city. I'd highly recommend RoseWood for anyone considering work in the Palos Verdes or surrounding communities. Our project included hardscaping a slope in our backyard, installing a patio and several retaining walls, installing a two-tier vegetable garden, re-planting all flowers and trees, irrigation, lighting and installing new grass, they really knocked it out of the park! RoseWood was very knowledgeable on flower, tree and shrub installations ensuring we chose plants that met our design needs and are good Southern California natives that won't consume too much water and will survive in the long run. They also cleverly advised us on how to cover an ugly 7ft fence our back yard neighbors installed in spite, finding a tree varietal that are beautiful and will not grow too tall. During the construction process, the RoseWood landscaping team was very courteous and took care of many little things such as frequently cleaning up the work site and bringing our trash bins to/from the street while I was away on work travel and vacation. They executed the project very quickly, having completed our project in about 4 weeks whereas others quoted 8 to 12 weeks. During any project, there naturally will be items that come up that change the scope or cost of effort. RoseWood was very upfront when we ran into a few issues and was very reasonable about finding options that were not a significant cost increase. They communicated up front that they want to scope the project so there are no surprises during execution and upheld that commitment. Of all the building contractors I've worked with, they were the best at managing cost and staying on schedule. read more

However, I called the number provided on the website, left a message, and a person called me back to schedule an appointment. It seems impossible to give less than one star rating, otherwise I would have. Nothing can be said about the quality of work because we never got even to the estimate part. Jose entirely forgot about the first appointment and asked to reschedule. He did not show up for the second appointment and asked to reschedule. Third time was a charm - he was no-show again. Needed a complex install of a Rachio flow meter. Underground and above plus added pressure shutoff valve and replaced an ancient shutoff valve with a new lever style one. Great job and good suggestions for making the system current. We have old copper plumbing and there were unexpected complexities - but they handled it all well and as planned.
