I think if you didn't find what you were looking for next door at Marshall's, you can stop by in here. It's a usual kind of place like any Ross, but they don't seem to be very stocked here. Not sure if it's because they just don't get inventory in as much or they sell things fast? lol...probably the inventory thing. It looked pretty bare here and from the looks of long-ago reviews also seem to be the same deal. So come here if you're in this plaza, but that's about it. The selection for men's was actually fairly decent today. But the back fitting rooms were closed and I was waiting over a half hour to use the two they have in the front. It's Ross so it's a little more off the rack in vibe than TJ Maxx or Marshall's but if you're patient and have time to revisit, you never know what you might come across. Service is fine, this location has a better more compact feel than the Brea store on Imperial. A trip to Ross will either be a hit or miss and this one was a miss. However, I cannot judge an indivual Ross by whether or not I find what I need. Ross is diverse and has some great low cost find such as clothing, houseware, novelty items and gadgets. This store is rated a 4 because they were well organized, you can walk around in a square shape and see everything. All the stations seem organized without signs pointing you to them. There was enough room to walk around and plenty of items to consider buying. Since I did not purchase anything I cannot really judge thier service. However, I have no complaints about this place so far. read more

Grabbed a jacket from the clearance and when I went to check out the guy at the register takes it away and then goes off to scrape the clearance sticker off and comes back just to tell me I have to pay the full price saying that sticker wasn't supposed to be in the first place. I say That's not my problem blame your employees for putting the wrong sticker then. I want it at the price it has. He then has the stupidity of claiming that a customer must have taken the sticker off a clearance item and stuck it onto the jacket... I'm just like you can't be that fucking stupid.. why would anyone go through all that trouble just to leave it there??? As far as I know he's full of shit and just wants to discourage me from buying it so he can buy it for himself once I left after seeing how cheap it was. I told him I don't care that's your problem not mine. It had a price and I want you to honor that price considering you literally had to rip off the sticker price. Who can resist scoring prize purchases at bargain prices? Not me! I approach shopping at discount retail stores with the same persistent dedication as I do a Where's Waldo book. I know that it's going to take a lot of time and a lot of hunting and picking to find that treasure, but I'm willing to put in the time and effort knowing that when I do finally find the golden ticket at the end, it will be at a substantially reduced price and the feeling of victory will be a reward in itself. I can usually count on Ross Dress for Less Stores to provide me with plenty of low priced treasures, but I found my one visit to this particular Ross Store disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the store was clean and well-maintained. The clothing was well organized by type of clothing and sizes (I HATE when the sizes get all mixed up and the employees don't straighten them out). It just seemed like this particular Ross had less merchandise in it than I expected. The aisles were particularly wide and the clothing sections I checked, mostly tops (sweaters and blouses) and lingerie/sleepwear, just didn't have the selection I have come to expect. My visit was a total bust for clothing finds. I did, however, find that the housewares department had a better selection and ended up leaving with several flavored syrups and some Skinny Girl drink mixes in spectacular flavors. I dropped a star for the poor selection in the clothing department, but they do have very good deals and the cashier was bubbly and friendly. They were also collecting donations for the American Heart Association; if you choose to donate you can put your name on little papers that they hang up in the store in denominations of $1, $5, and $10. It's nice to see a big corporation facilitating fund raising for such a good cause. I'll certainly try them again the next time I'm down this way and will consider updating their stars if the clothing selection improves. read more

The discrimination of this Ross was unreal. The story: If I could give this place negative 5 I wouldn't even do that because they aren't worth it. I am utterly shocked at the service of this location from not only the staff, but the manager of the store! My mother and I were followed all over the store as if we were about to steal something. It was absolutely disgusting. I came to find out by others that this location in particular is known for that. When I asked to use the restroom, the lady was hesitating to open the door for me saying they might close it early. I said I really needed to use the restroom and didn't understand so she let me go in. She stared at me all the while as I walked through the hallway. It was so awkward. I felt the need to smile more to be seen as normal. I told my mom we should leave, but she really wanted to purchase a few items. As she purchased them the cashier was being so rude to her. I stepped in and asked to speak to a manager. She rudely pointed to the lady behind her and said that's her. The manager said what do you want ma'am? I was shocked. She didn't even bother walking up to us and a customer even murmured : "wow how rude". The manager was putting some clothes on the hanger and continued "listening". I felt so disrespected. I told her the story of how we felt uncomfortable the whole time and how the employees were being so rude to us and her response? Wait for it... "I mean ma'am this is how we greet people at Ross, if you look like a criminal or act like one loss prevention will follow you. I'm sorry you felt that we aren't nice but all my employees are well trained so other Ross's are also available. Also, we are closing at 10:30 today and it is 10:35 so please make your way to the exit once you finish your purchase" (speaking about my mom's purchase). My mom (who is a sweet and gentle soul and does not like when I argue) was actually very encouraging of me arguing for our rights as customers. She was shocked and just kept saying "my God why are you rude my God..." I lost my cool after the manager reacted this way. She was defending her store that had horrible reviews instead of showing any type of empathy for the clear discrimination we were facing. I looked at the other reviews to see that this is not the only time it's happened. Clearly they need new management and a new team. As we stormed out of there, they turn and all start laughing at us with their MANAGER. I AM SHOCKED. I need to contact corporate because I'm disturbed by this Ross. Other than the horrible experience: Bathrooms were horrible and poop on the floor. I couldn't even use the restroom, I just washed my hands and left. Decided to take a quick trip to ross today@2:00pm 11/24/2017. To get a dress and some yoga pants. Walked into ross just wearing yoga pants and a sweater. No purse no wallet. Just my debit card and my phone. I was followed around the store by loss prevention. He even followed me to the dressing room. After bringing it up to the dressing room attendant who just smiled. I continued shopping. (Chalked it up as its just the holiday thing with stotes) I ended up buying two dressing and some yoga pants.(when I looked up I saw the loss prevention guy) wtf. After paying 100 bucks for everything I asked the cashier if it was to late to get a gift reciept or another copy. ( I had to explain why. ) what the fuck! And the customer service girl, I think her name was Gladys is excellent. She was smiling and very attentive. She was not only nice to me but to other customers that were there. Wow! With 5 staff members, including what seemed like a manager, gathered around the front end of the service desk, you might think you'd get decent service. NOT! Not one of them greeted me/others as we came into the store. Not one of them bothered to turn around as I approached the cash register. In fact, the cashier (didn't see her name but she was a large woman) leaned against the counter with her back to the customer/me. When she didn't turn around, I asked, "Are you open?" She turned around, said hello, rang me up and bagged my item. When the receipt printed out, she said "thank you," as she nodded for me to grab my own receipt! Really? With service like that, why even have employees? I could've been at a self-service register for as much customer service as I received. Thoroughly disgusted. With a competitor right next door, you'd think this crew would bring their A - game. If I were the boss, you'd all be fired. While this Ross is nicer and had more stock than the one on Imperial, I still kind of felt like I was being watched. Seriously, I didn't even want to get undressed in the dressing room. They must have alot of loss at this store; there were guys all around with 'Loss Prevention' uniforms on. And when I tried to go try some things on, I felt like I was going to get a pat down just to get into the dressing room. I mean, I understand there are processes they need to follow to prevent theft, but to interrogate everyone seems a little extreme. Anyway, like I said, there's much more stock here. Store is sparse, but well maintained. Only reason I gave the store two stars was due to the customer service, or lack thereof. The employee who rang us up couldn't even look at us as we handed over our money and merely put her hand out so that we could place the change in her palm. This was of course after she managed to break away from her conversation with the other employee there. She then allowed us to take our own receipt off their printer, which was pointed towards her and her register, with a dismissive "you can grab your receipt." I'm sorry, but as one customer service lackey to another, you can at least PRETEND to feign interest in your paying customer. This Ross has a good selection for men's clothing, which is a first. The clothes is well organized, and obviously the prices are excellent. The only thing I disliked from my last visit was the cashier's attitude. She lacked customer service skills. She was yelling at the customers in line as if she was dealing with children at a school's cafeteria. Though she was helpful, she needs to take some training in customer service. This store is always very busy. The employees could try and keep up with the cleanliness of it a bit better. The cashiers take returns before purchases which backs the line up for purchasing customers. Very annoying. The store is so unorganized, you can tell by the lack of employee interaction. Went in this store today for a return. Female and male cashiers were in a conversation at the registers, there was a woman standing waiting in the cordoned off Exchange/Return area. I got in line behind her. After the female stopped talking, she assisted that customer. The male cashier took a phone call and walked away. I was next. Then a man came up and stood in the cordoned off purchase only area next to where I was standing and well after I was in line. The cashier signaled that she would take his purchase and said he only had one item. I told her I only had one item but she continued to ring up man, who said something to me and smiled. When it was my turn, I told cashier poor service was one of the reasons I seldom shop in that store. Again, as I was leaving, I told her again about the poor customer service and I would probably not be shopping there very often if at all. What good is having separate lines and rules if employees are not going to honor them. read more

I was "helped" by a cashier named Gaz and she was not polite at all and even walked away mid purchase and I had to stand there waiting for her to do something else with the register to get my receipt and when she saw me standing there she just starred at me and then realized what she had to do and didn't say sorry, didn't say hello or goodbye, she was just so unpleasant. This is the location where I've found the best items. All other Ross' around me sell items that are either not out of style or nothing that would suit me. If I ever need a dress, this location is where I've bought the most. Of course with any Ross, it could be a hit or a miss, it just really depends on the the inventory that they carry and when you go. They may have restocked and you go at a perfect time or you go when they have just sold a lot of their inventory. Yes, there are items sometimes on the floor or misplaced but this is one of the better kept ones compared to the Puente Hills mall one that I live nearby. It is not the workers fault that items are misplaced or on the floor, it is the shoppers. I see workers constantly picking up items and putting them back into the right sections but shoppers mess them up. I always find great deals here and I always find what I need, either if it is for myself, the house, or for gifts. The store is also quite big compared to other Ross' that I have been to. The bigger the store, the bigger the selection. It is interesting how there is a Marshall located a few doors down but I still go to Ross instead. I've had no problems with any of the workers there, they have always been helpful and friendly to me. read more

I like that its so cheap, if i wanted some tanks or shorts, especially in the clearance section, its the place to shop. got a cute dressy tank and a long t-shirt today. expect to spend lots of time sifting though, and dont expect to find your size, even if you find an item you like. read more

Had to witness a not so pleasant treatment of a cashier to a customer. The customer in front of me was a little on the slow side, but she wanted to give the exact change so she can get rid of some of her coins (except for her quarters - I heard her say she needs them for laundry). But the cashier went ahead and ring her up and told the lady that she already ring her up and "not sure what you're trying to do" (rudely, I might say). I couldn't help but butt in and told the sales lady "She's trying to give you the exact change." She changed her tone, and she hesitantly helped the lady count her coins. If this was the only thing I saw, I would've given them a zero star, but I have to go back the next day to exchange my purchase because the shirts I bought were too tight for me. The return/exchange experience for me was a breeze, so I really like that. read more
