I've probably stared at a Kirkland Storefront for years, thinking it was related to Costco, but...nope and nope. Turns out, it's a sweet furnishing store with lots of pretty cool items. It kind of gives me the thought of if Pier 1 Imports and Crate and Barrel decided to elope, and this was the shop that popped-out. It gives the "Summer at the Hamptons" vibe for me. But nonetheless, it's a nice store. Smells really nice currently (October) with their fall collection of pumpkin spice scent bags and Christmas decor throughout their store. I didn't get any greeting from any of the staff though, but heard greetings for customers who came in after me. Maybe it was a one-off or it was off, but is a partial reason for just a 4-star. Greetings should be equal for everyone that walks in. Kirkland's is in a large shopping center and parking is aplenty. Worth to stop in if you want to be taken away by furnishings that you'll probably just adore from afar, unless you have a huge house, or mansion, for their many larger furnishings and decor. read more

Terrible customer service! Went in ready to purchase an accent cabinet or side table. As I was holding the tag looking for the dimensions, the employee walked up and goes "OH OKAY" extremely rude. I don't know what this means so I continue to look. She then says "um this lady wants to buy this". She could have easily walked up and said "excuse me, this is already being purchased, can I help you find another?" ANYTHING along those lines is basic customer service. Employee is an older woman with short red hair. Kirkland's has great items, but the experience completely brings down the value of this store. I wouldn't want to spend my money anywhere near that woman. read more

Not dog friendly. Just fyi. Kirklands is listed on multiple sites as being very dog friendly. Not sure if it's everyone but this location is not. Drove from Oc to buy a ton of Christmas stuff but had to just turn around and leave. read more

The staff at the chino grand location had horrible customer service. I am not one to pull the " race card" but the lady that rang me up was blatantly stereotyping me. She refused to take my cash & insisted she didn't have enough change. I tried to pay with a $100 bill.. my purchase was $80 which means she would only need to give me back $20. Not to mention when I walked in with my mom she stared me up and down. I never leave reviews but noticed that other people have also had this experience . I will no longer be giving my business to these people. Be better humans. read more

I purchased a rolling desk at the Palmdale Kirklands and when I got it home, I realized it was not big enough. I called the administrative office in Tennessee and told them where I purchased it and that store was closing. I asked if there was any way to return the item and was told yes, that I could take it to the Chino store. I was extremely disappointed with this store! I drove almost 2 hours from Santa Clarita to Chino for this return. The manager at the Chino store said no, I could not return it. I called the administrative office again while I was at the Chino store, to be told that each store manager can make their own choice upon returns. What? Kirklands you could have saved me a 2 hour drive each way, if your administrative office knew what they were doing and answered accordingly. Really disappointed with Kirklands and now I know why alot of there stores are closing! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

We had great customer service from Heidi. She was very helpful and very friendly. We would have given 5stars but we purchased quite a bit of great items and we didn't look at the receipt until we got home, we purchased something on clearance but we didn't get it for the special clearance price. This Kirkland is in Chino and we live in La Mirada 17 miles away. I called the store and I spoke with Heidi and I explained the situation with her and she remembers us but she had to see what they can do. She said that she would call us back when she found out what she can do. She did call back after she spoke to the manager and the only thing they can do is have us come back to the store and make the corrections. With today's electronic advances I thought that the transaction could be made over the phone but I guess not. Thank you Heidi for all of your efforts. read more

Love this store! I do not live in California, so this was my very first time visiting the store. They have everything for your home! We went in looking for a console table, and found so much more. The quality of their items are top notch. I feel like they have so many things to accent your home. We got side end tables, wall art, a rug, candles and the console table! The sales staff were all very friendly and very helpful. There was hardly any line, just two people in front of us so in and out pretty fast. Plenty of parking in front of the store and near tons of other shopping if you have other things to look for. I would highly recommend going to the store!! read more

I am not a frequent Kirkland's in person shopper and typically buy online. However, I decided to on in to pick up some bowl fillers. When I entered the store, I was not greeted unlike another shopper who walked in a minute after I did. Since I was looking for fillers that I saw online, I walked around the store to look for them. As I walked. I noticed that one of the sales associate was following me around but didn't offer assistance. It appeared she thought I was going to shoplift??? One nice associate did help me locate my item. When I walked up to the register, another sales associate glared at me especially since I asked if my items were on sale. She didn't ask me for my information which I know is used for points. She then asked to see my debit card without asking me why she needed to see the card. Other customers were not asked. I was taken aback for the lack of customer service I received. I am a financial professional and I extend courtesy to my clients so I am truly disappointed of the lack of customer service I received. I hope my review is read so that the store manager can address the impact this lack of customer service orientation only encourages customers to shop online versus in store shopping. I will now do all my Kirkland's shopping online moving forward. read more

I'm not sure why this place has 4 star reviews, the two lady's that work there were just staring my sister & I up and down. I walked into this business trying to do a return and was barely even greeted, they just stood there in the front entrance and stared me down, seeing me struggle bringing in a table, they never bothered to help hold the door but rather just continued on their conversation and stared at us. As a person of color I felt very uncomfortable with my experience today. Shortly after returning my item, two other White ladies walked in and were greeted/welcomed in a much friendlier manner. Again not sure why this place has 4 stars, but taking a look at all the reviews it's all white people! Not one single POC has commented anything about this business, but I will be one of the first to comment and say my experience was very uncomfortable getting stared down and seeing them make faces towards us. I went in to pick up a large mirror I ordered online. I was not happy with it as it was different than what was shown online. Stephanie made sure she went out of her way to show me other options until I was happy enough to walk out with my mirror. Came here 2 weeks ago with my mom. We were looking for Christmas decorations to get an early start before the stores get crazy packed with people lol. Walked in, browsed a bit, and walked out lol. Items are definitely over priced. You can get the same items at Marshall's for about half the price! They also didn't have very much to choose from. This place let me down. read more

Can you actually believe I've driven out here 2x in one week because I adore their stuff? That's 90+ in total. They always have some sale going on. Associate are always so helpful and patient. I even saw one associate helping this highly selective lady with heavy paintings. He had to LIFT them out of the box, over 5 of them (these were heavy, heavy paintings worth $100+) so she could examine them. He was so nice and patient -but geez, lady... Anyway. I bought a 6 foot mirror, probably over 40 lbs and one of the associates lugged it out the store for me when I went to pick up my car. Bless her soul. Walked in 15 minutes before closing today with my wife for a quick exchange. We were out in less than 10 minutes. For some reason, Cyndi was extremely rude to me the whole time. Pretty disappointed in my experience today. The whole time during the exchange she kept repeating how the new item we wanted was full price and if we were sure we wanted it. In order not to use the word that kept popping in my head and to give the benefit of the doubt, let's just say the experience just felt yucky. When a white woman keeps telling a Hispanic person "this is full price" in a "can you afford this?" Type of tone and after at least mentioning it 5 times, she then went on to ring the item and said "each one of these is $10.99, are you sure you want them?" And then goes on AGAIN to say "these are full price". This customer interaction is at BEST insensitive, a hint of privilege and just tacky. Also, while we were being rung up two white customers walked in 5 minutes before closing and her coworker and her were nothing but kind to them...again...it just felt yucky... From start to finish my experience shopping at Kirklands was amazing because if the team working there!! As a pregnant woman, the helpfulness I experienced was beyond compare. Under the leadership and direction of Aysia Terrones (store manager), Amber Fernandez & Brenna Harold went above and beyond helping me with my large furniture purchase. I bought two full outdoor sets, and they somehow fit it all in my van like a jigsaw puzzle that both protected the pieces and allowed me to get it all home in one trip! They were all so kind, helpful, genuinely motivated to give the customer an amazing experience and even while helping me they assisted others -always making sure no customer went unnoticed. Because of their service and the amazing store management I will shop there often, for both their great products and the way their teams work together to put that customer first. Shopped a couple of times at Kirklands Chino Hills location....won't be going back. I've overheard two young female employees making fun of another employee calling him names and laughing about it. The girls were very unprofessional and should be disciplined! Sad that employees are allowed to act like that. Cashiers are slow and don't care. Store seems unorganized, and I even noticed a cockroach near the back of the store. Kirklands has some cute decor, but it's mass produced items that you can find at many other stores and you'd have a more pleasant shoping exoerience if you did. read more

I purchased two mirrors for our new master bathroom at the Fresno location. Unfortunately, they were too small for the space so I brought them to this location to return. I was immediately greeted by Jesse. He asked me if I wanted to look around or to return the mirrors first. I went ahead and returned the mirrors, which was a very quick and easy transaction. I spent the next 20 minutes looking around and found two larger mirrors that would fit perfectly into the space. They were marked down, with an additional 25%. Jesse also told me about the app which gave me an additional $10 off $50 purchase through the spin and save game. I saved over 40% today and was very happy with my purchase. The two mirrors were rather large and Jesse brought them outside for me. I pulled up my car and loaded the mirrors. I am very happy with the customer service that I received from Jesse. He is very friendly, helpful and my shopping experience today was a positive one. This location has everything you need to decorate a house. After second washing parts of the inner filling turned into hard plastic sticking to the outside cotton cover. Completely ruined.
