I visited Ross Dress for Less in Stockton, CA [5756 Pacific Ave] on Wednesday, 05/06/26, around 4:45 PM. I wanted to come to this store because I desired to pick up summer clothes for my upcoming Mexico cruise trip. I walked around the store, hoping that I would find something nice. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to grab my interest this time around. As an alternative, I settled on purchasing the following items: * 4 pack of mini tweezers * facial cleaning wipes * jumbo loofahs * essential hair styling set * grilled seaweed roll snack The total came out to be around $25. Thankfully, I had a $5 off certificate due to being a Ross Mastercard® Credit Card holder. The staff member who assisted me was very unfamiliar with how to redeem the certificate, as she had never done it before. She asked her nearby cashier colleague, and didn't know either. Instead, the Loss Prevention specialist came over to the register and helped to redeem it. The store appeared to be slightly disorganized in some aisles but well-stocked. The checkout line was fairly long but moved at a decent pace. The rating of the stars is still stagnant at 3 stars. This specific Ross location is very hit or miss. read more

The manger on shift today was so disrespectful to me I am diabetic and I have to use the restroom a lot Me and my husband went into Ross to shop when I ask if they had a restroom I could use they said it was not for customers I said I had a medical condition and I need to used the bathroom asap they told me to go to chilles witch is accose the parking lot I had to use the bathroom so bad that I ran across the parking lot praying I would make it even tho I knew I would have a pots episode I made it and then went back to Ross to meet up with my husband and that's when I told my husband I need to sit down but I also need to talk the manger when the manger came she was hella rude saying that the restroom was not for customers and she didn't care if I was diabetic and had to use the bathroom I even told her that because I had to leave and run across the parking lot to use the bathroom it caused me to have a pots medical episode and she told me that I had 5 minutes to get up off the floor and leave or she was going to call the cops at that point I was in shock she even said that I told my husband to go get my wheelchair out of the car and when we were leaving I got corporate number and reported her but when I reported her I gave them the wrong name so I called the store back and asked for the current name and I also asked what is there protocol if a customer is having a medical episode and the manger said they have 5 minutes to leave or they are calling the cops the employee that I was talking to on the phone said that the manger never told me that and that I'm a lier and she was right there and she never said that to u the employee even ha the nerve to tell me I'm a scammer and that I don't even have medical problems and I'm perfectly fine and I was fakeing the whole episode how is that ok that they would treat me that that and how am I faking a pots episode if my heart rate was 150 and rising please don't go there because what they did to me was unacceptable the manager that did that to me her name was Melody read more

They took away public restrooms n now as you check out in front of security they have to check your receipt before you leave and security are recording you with worn camera . Was excited to hear that a new Ross will be opening soon.. August? At the location where TJMax used to be on Hammer Lane. I thought it was about time they close this one down on Pacific Ave. But apparently this one will remain open so that will make FOUR Ross Stores in Stockton! I used to shop here all the time & many great finds to be had here, but in the last ten plus years, it has really gone downhill, dirty floors, the racks are mostly sparse and the home good isles are empty and messy. I don't even want to go into how the dressing rooms are. Needs a remodel badly (Gross!) I may stop by here off & on if looking for something in particular. If I could leave zero stars I would. You are not allowed to use the restroom here. So if you have a cart of stuff and have to go to the bathroom you have to leave and "Coke back". I don't think so. I'll go to the Ross in Lodi instead where is it customer friendly! read more

We stood in line for over 30min because there was 1 cashier, 3 security at the front door doing nothing, 2 associates following a shop lifter around the store. Then the associate follows the shop lifter and yells "oh you guna steal it?".While video taping the shop lifter, who has a covid mask on to hide his identity. What a a waste of time and energy. While the security stand and do nothing. Who are getting paid probably more than the associates. lol. It's a joke. Finally the one associate who is yelling at the shop lifter decides to go help at the cash register, after the shop lifter already leaves the premises. While we are being rang up right next to the security guard in visible view, the security guard still asks for our receipt. So stupid, your guna continue to waste my time and check my receipt when you clearly saw us wait in line and pay. All associated need to understand that you wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for people like Myself who are willing to wait in line and pay, consumers like me are why you people have a job. So instead of arguing with me about checking a receipt you should have let us leave happily, so we can be a returning guest. Instead you just encouraged us to never come back. Your guys standards are so low which caused us to be aggravated, which lead to you allowing poor service and behavior in-front of everyone else and families. You should also clearly stay in your policy that it's a requirement to check receipts because I did not see anything stipulated online or on the receipt itself. On my latest visit, I didn't know what the heck was going on? The place was a madhouse, I don't know if they were understaffed or what? Clothes, furniture, shoes all kinds of stuff was on the floor and in the aisles. Kind of like a tornado is spinning out of control and hits a volcano. The volcano erupts and lays waste to Ross. Tip: They have great deals on clothes. A few nights ago I came in with my two girls we were looking for clothes and new stuff for the bathroom. We ended up leaving with blankets, toys, shoes, and chocolate candy. It wasn't too bad I paid I believe $37 for new comforter and a couple pillows for my daughters bed. I left paying roughly around $80 dollars and some change for everything I stated. We also got a lot of knick knacks for the house. We need to come back because there's was more stuff that we wanted to get but it was just hard to maneuver with all the junk all over the place. So they have good deals here if you don't mind a mess. I'm not sure on other days but this particular evening it was jacked up. On my next visit or so, if it's cleaned up a little bit more. I'll probably give them a extra star, I feel bad giving Ross a 3 but it was all bad for us that night. If we got help trying to find stuff that would have been nice. I love this Ross. And saying that, in general, is something you don't hear very often. Usually when I visit a "discount clothing" store, it's cluttered, dirty, and the staff seems miserable. This place is the opposite. The items are neatly organized (which is a feat in itself), the store is clean (except for a few pieces if trash left behind by terrible shoppers), and the staff is friendly. The woman who rang up my purchase (tall, and had pretty red braids) was quick to offer a smile and a pleasant conversation. To be treated as higher priority, wait in the purchase line even if you're going to return an item. While I was next in the returns line, I saw the entire purchase line of 7+ people get helped. Finally, it was empty, but in strolls a purchase customer and he even gets rung up by a returns cashier. This happened again a couple times and it super irritated me. I was also planning on buying other items too so why do I have to wait another 15 minutes behind customers who barely waited 15 seconds? All customers should be treated the same. This is one of the few "go to" stores in Stockton that I visit when I need to purchase a gift for someone how is either difficult to shop for, or has invited me to their home as a guest. The store has many many items other than clothing (which I ALSO love), such as home decor, kitchen wares, exercise supplies, footwear, jewelry, soaps perfumes/creams, purses, bathroom linenes and accessories, bedding, rugs, you name it. The prices are excellent. The merchandise changes continually so if you see something you love buy it pronto. I may be sold before you can revisit. The location is also great. The lady watching the dressing room kept coughing into her hands even though she is the one touching everyone's clothes and number cards for the dressing room. So gross! So I came in today to buy some jeans. I hate buying jeans just cuz its pretty miserable, right up there with a dentist visit or the gyno....anyway, I found two pairs of jeans for less than $15 each. Not cheaply made or otherwise shoddy...two good pairs of jeans. The one thing that really bugged me is that they wouldn't let my son in the dressing room with me because he was "too old".
