A bit unorganized, a lot of stuffs lying around on the floors, zero stocks on women jewelry, designer watches and handbags, no self checkout kiosks, just to name a few, but they still managed to have some random stuffs that I could find useful to buy, so I will this location another try in the future when they get their things together. read more

They have a good selection of this and that. I came for dog toys as they have a lot to choose from and the best prices around on them.

Never have I ever found the best greatest prices on the cutest clothes than this place. Beats out all other stores.

It's really difficult to give Ross anything higher than a 3-star rating, even this one. They just can't get a handle on the organization. I almost tripped over a couple of things looking around. At the least, they should really be more diligent about keeping the floors clutter-free. It's only a matter of time before a lawsuit happens because someone gets injured. The staff courtesy is hit and miss at any of the locations on any given day. Despite all of this, I will continue to shop at their stores. You just can't beat those freakin prices sometimes. UNORGANIZED, NEGLIGENT, NO CUSTOMER CARE I came here to purchase birthday gifts late night and left with 4 full large bags. After wrapping my gifts and gifting them i felt there was one missing. I checked my receipt and items and realized which item was missing. I came back next day afternoon and explained my missing item at returns. I was told "did you call and ask?" No. I was here late night by the tome I discovered what happened it was closed. Cashier told coworker greeting customers to check cameras for the missing item after 15 min Coworker said she didn't see it in the camera. I was irritated at this point because she didn't know what the item looked like I offered to get the item so she knows what she's looking for and explained again where i put the item before it was scanned. She told me no its ok and said she doesn't know why it was scanned and on the receipt. I wanted that item " i chose the item I wanted to purchase it i placed it on the counter to scan but it didn't make it to my home." She then asked me if i can show her the item.... 20 min into the "search" This employee was also not focused on the issue and greeting customers entering and leaving. Its no wonder she couldn't find what she was looking for... after showing her the item 10 min later she calls in on her walkie what happened. So the first cashier that night scanned the item, places it on the other register to go get bags then he proceeded with the items without bagging the misplaced item. I was told to keep the item that i gave her as the example. SO frustrating will not be returning to this location. read more

I had just purchased a pair of shoes, took them home and walked down the hall with them and they hurt. I'm not keeping something I won't use so I decided to take them back. I went to the return line and the girl is processing and flips the shoes over and says um next time you decide to return shoes try them on a carpeted floor don't walk around outside with them. I was given attitude for something I didn't even do. Why the hell am I going to pay 30 dollars for something I won't use and hurts my feet! My apartment is carpeted! The shoes were scuffed on the bottom from people trying them on at the store. I will not return to this location, I will gladly drive to the nice one on Mira Mesa if I decide to shop at a Ross store again. read more

Attendant at the dressing room was so nice. Unfortunately the dressing rooms were gross. They look like they don't clean the walls or something. Line wasn't bad but I felt bad for the cashier, another employee came and instead of helping her with the line he just kept interrupting her when she was trying to help people. I bought a gift card for 150 for my daughter for Christmas on December 7th. It's Christmas day today and my daughter is sitting in Texas with no gift from her parents. I sent emails, called, and even wrote on their Facebook page, and noone could h lo me. Customer service there is at minus 0. They're just there because that department has to be there, but contacting them is a sheer waste of time. Both myself and husband are volunteers so you know what sacrifices we made to get our daughter a 150 dollar gift. I wish you all have a merry Christmas, and plenty of presents! read more

Bad customer service. I was waiting in line to checkout and when I thought it was my turn, the cashier started arguing with me and said that the customer on the "return line" was next. I notified her that I have been waiting (she even saw me), and the other customer even said it's okay, that I may go ahead, but the cashier just kept on making an argument over who was next. It was not my fault they had two lines going because the store was disorganized! Anyway, I said I was not going to fight over who is next, and the cashier should not try to make us (the customers) argue with each either, so I left the store without buying the stuff I was going to purchased. I went to Burlington Factory that was just across the street and had a much better shopping experience!!! I even found nicer stuff there, and I'm glad I went to Burlington instead. Very unhappy with the rude treatment of Orlando a cashier. I asked if they could help us with an item we puchased because both my husband and I have medical issues the guy just signaled to the rest of the people around him to place the item beside us.One customer that was standing in line got so upset that he picked up the large foot locker/bench and took it to our car. Come to find out they could have told us if we brought our car around they would take it to the curve and put it in the back of our car. We called the main office and talk to a main manager. They said they will talk with them. Hope by now this little click they have is no longer. It seemed like no employees that knew the rules had courage to tell us what the rude guy refused to tell us. One nice gaurd told us on the way out. It was too late. How can they do that to handicap people shame of them. This happened 2.5 months ago. Dear management: teach your security guard with glasses to not talk sh-- about your customers. Yes, I go to Ross...and yes, I go frequently because guess what? It is holiday season so I am looking for an affordable gift. But please make sure if your security guard-wanna-be-sheriff lady wants to accuse me of stealing, that she makes it known to me... One of the customers told me (a customer) that your security guard proceeded to talk bad about me (a customer) to them (another customer). This does not reflect nicely on your company...in fact, it makes you look trashy because you dont know how to train your staff... Also, I'd this security guard had known me enough...she would've known I invest a good amount of money on your company. Sad your company policy does not appreciate regular customers. Sad one worker reflects badly on your company. And now you lost a customer and hope to meet with one of your managers concerning this matter. Went into this particular ross yesterday and left with my jaw dropped. Let me start by saying I know in this world you often get what you pay for so my expectations for Ross are not that high to begin with. I treat Ross like any other bargain store, walk in. Dig around a little. Possibly find a steal or two. Pay. Leave. And that about sums up my expectations. What i didnt expect was to have my change literally thrown at my by the rude casheir as I was trying to leave (really wish I could remember her name). I walked up with my two clearance shirts, she rushed through my transaction like she was deactivating a bomb, her hands moving so fast you couldnt see them. She yelled "next purchase please" to the people in line before she even put my shirts in the bag, so i had the next coustomer breathing down my neck as i quickly tried to get everything back in my wallet. The icing on the cake came when she threw, yes i mean THREW the change at me, most of it spilling on the floor. She didnt say a word to me and just began ringing up the next coustomer as I stared at her in disbeleif for about 10 seconds trying to get my jaw off the floor. Why she felt the need to rush so bad and then go Trevor Hoffman on me ill never know. There were only two people in line behind me and another registar open. This place gets two stars for selection and zero for service so if i did my math right thats about one star total. If you like Ross stores, and I generally do, I highly recommend the one in Encinitas. By far the best selection and service of them all. read more

Typical Ross, always has a few good deals but the lines seem to be pretty bad most of the time, and the home goods section is kind of picked over and cluttered. It's in a convenient shopping center, though, so a good spot to park and peruse the shops. read more

I will never come to this Ross again. I was there on a Saturday and I had 3 $8 tops I wanted to try on. I had my daughter with me in the stroller. As I get up to the fitting rooms, the lady working there says I can't bring the stroller in. (My baby is 5 months old, it's not like I could have her walk in with me). I said, "you're telling me that I can't bring my baby in?" She said "no". Wth?! I got so pissed and left my shirts there and went up to the security dude and asked him if that was their policy. He said no it wasn't. I said well you need to tell the lady working there bc that's bs. I felt insulted that she would insinuate that I was going to steal a $8 shirt! And yes, I took it that way because they count the clothing upon entering the fitting room, and then leaving! I contacted the district manager and the corporate office because that was so ridiculous. Never shopping here again. I'll stay at the one in Encinitas. read more

This place is disgusting. Besides the store being a huge mess, which I expect from Ross, the bathroom was horrible. Toilet paper everywhere. Pee all over the floor and seat and smelled absolutely awful. I told the girl outside the bathroom. She said she has heard that but that people only come to clean in the morning. Went in looking for an eye shade, left with two awesome purses. One Tommy Hilfiger, the other Betsey Johnson. The store is fairly large, but it's not completely packed. That is nice, I hate discount stores that you can't really walk around in. I donated to the boys and girls club and as I went to leave they thanked me over the intercom and someone blew a kazoo. Ross is a great place to shop on a budget. Thankfully my wife is a big fan of shopping for clothes here. There are a ton of stuff you may not want but if you are on a budget its worth sorting through the clothes. Other items I recommend checking are kitchen or bedding items. We have purchased multiple Chantal brand stainless steel pots which seem to be great quality. Items can be 30-50% or more off for decent stuff. Items I would be wary of is the furniture as I am not sure if the quality is good enough. Also food items can be discounted but check on the expiration date. Ross is definitely a good option for house decorations on a budget. You also may have to search multiple stores to find matches on items such as curtains. You can definitely save money though with some effort! read more

I would say the only luck you would have in here are if you were to buy shoes or housewares. I had no luck what-so-ever in finding work clothes! There is a section labeled "Blazers". I went over there and there was not ONE blazer but a few jean jackets and corduroy jackets that looked like they belong at the nearest Goodwill. I was also looking for a maxi skirt. I've gone to this ross a couple of times. Seems like whenever I go, I don't always find something as it seems to be a store that is frequented by a lot of people frequently. I do like Ross's prices in general as they are lower priced than TJ Maxx and Marshalls but as with all of these stores, you need to dig around a little to find good deals and happen to walk in at the right time/ day. read more

I went to this Ross store last night and I was APPALLED at the condition. It looked like it had been ransacked! Clothes all over the floor, every isle had merchandise in disarray. Unsupervised children running all over, toy section had kids tearing through new merchandise. Shelves were scarce and had no organization. I understand stores get a lot of customers over the weekend, but the uncaring parents/customers have no respect. A policy should be implemented to alert parents that unsupervised children is not acceptable. I raised four children and NEVER allowed my children to run around in stores.....it all starts at home. I spoke to Ms. Figueroa and expressed my concerns and she was very apologetic and respectful. This story needs attention, mostly in educating customers to show respect in stores. read more
