Wow! It's cute inside... Great food and an abundance of it. Clean food surfaces and eating areas. The service is wonderful. You barely get in, seated and your drinks are brought while you go from aisle to aisle. Salads fruits, soups, shrimp, chicken, sushi +++deserts, ice cream...and that's just on the lunch tables. Order their boneless spare ribs... I took one smell and put it down, it smelled rancid. My husband, however, ate half the container so I had the tiniest nibble, and it tasted rancid too....not even 15 minutes after he ate it, my husband just got violently ill, so yeah... they gave us spoiled meat! Unfortunately, this amazing little place has new owners. The food is alright, but not what it was. As loyal customers for nearly 9 years, my wife and I are disappointed, to say the least. We ordered take out for pick up. It was nice you can order online. Menu was good and detailed on web site. Still grab or keep a paper menu it's also handy. Our cartons of food were stuff full! I am not sure how the get all the food inside. Yummy flavor and Egg foo young are huge, only thing I did not care for was gravy for egg foo young. Pick up was easy, but they do delivery. Being a transplant, it's hard to find consistent quality take out in this area. I have been here 15 years and watched them (and their kids) grow. Typical take out menu with all the standards. My typical is the Broccoli with garlic sauce, a fairly simple title with a complex taste. They always make it the same and I love it. This week we enjoyed their General Tsos chicken, fried rice and steamed dumplings. They have changed the shells on their dumplings and thinned them out and now they are way better and you don't feel like you ate a pound of dough. You have lots of great lunch choices and their pork fried rice is great as well. Enjoy! read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area! All the other places use that dry yellow rice as a substitute for fried rice NOT Joy Luck! They make me real vegetarian fried rice! It's awesome! I also order cheese rangoons & vegetable spring rolls to "round out" my super healthy meal! They also have containers of the white sauce they serve at Japanese steakhouses. The Chicken fried rice, egg roll and egg drop soup were very good. HOWEVER.... the menu says that the large is a quart. Usually that is plenty for the two of us, but we were a little short this time. The bottom of the box says 26 oz. I called to ask about that. They told me that their qt is 26 oz. I tried to explain that it was misleading and dishonest. She told me that is the way they do business. "Solly bout that". Well, if that's the way they feel about it..... there are plenty other good restaurants that care about good business. I recently moved to the Winter Park area in Orlando and ive tried several asian take out restaurants looking for something that even comes close to Joy Luck's quality with no success. Joy Luck is by far the best Chinese take out ive ever had. I used to live across the street at Ocean Oaks and would order 2-3 times a week not just out of laziness but because the food is really just that good every time. They are always consistent in food quality, service, cleanliness and just being friendly overall. Living in Port Orange for about 7 years i tried nearly every take out place in town and Joy Luck is by far the best all around. The boneless ribs are unlike any other ive ever tried, always perfectly seared yet tender. The general tso's is always crispy and the sauce is great. This is a true family run business and deserves your patronage. Do not be led astray by reviewers confusing it for the old joy luck buffet that used to be on dunlawton by the KFC. That place was definitely gross and was a buffet, not a counter service take out restaurant. read more
