Water heater finally failed. We did an online inquiry late in the day and were called immediately to get more details. They sent out a rep next morning. Jesse arrived, friendly straight forward and was able to get the new water heater installed same day. Jesse went over the new unit and procedure for it. They installed a cheap garbage disposal for $500 with only a 1 year warranty. Later on it leaked, causing wood damage and mold. They didnt bother telling me that the piping could be improved to accomodate a better unit. Now I'm stuck with a $8000 bill to clean up mold, fix the plumbing, and install new wood. read more

I called Roto-Rooter in the evening because there was a leak that we were unable to locate. We had to shut off the water to prevent further flooding. I specifically asked the representative on the phone if the plumber can perform leak detection after describing the urgent situation, in which she replied yes. But when the plumber (surprisingly he has 5/5 star reviews) arrived, he said he did not bring leak detection equipment. He essentially repeated what I said I have done to try to locate the leak, and was eager to charge $79 to shut off the already turned off shut-off valve. He then proudly went on to say that someone can do the leak detection in the morning when the nearby Roto-Rooter office opens for $950. It is difficult to find good, reliable service companies and people. read more

I was totally misled- Marc told me water damage was serious and my ENTIRE bathroom would need to be ripped out and remodeled and called a 3rd party company (YGM) to come test for mold that he said was surely there. Mold guy took one look and said no mold. Marc's supervisor came out and took one look and said no water damage. My insurance claim was then canceled and then I was stuck with bills that I was told I would NOT have to pay. Not sure if he's bad at his job or if I was tricked into a bunch of unnecessary costs. Joe was great and fixed plumbing issue but I should have/could have done it myself. $820 was way too expensive for this fix. I will NEVER use this company again.
