They scheduled a consultation within 3 hrs and kept us informed when the plumber would be arriving via text. Joe T. came out today for a clogged kitchen sink and he was awesome even when something flew out at him that we didn't know what it was. Lol.. While he was here I asked about a few other drain issues we had and he was more then happy see what he could do. We just purchased the house last month so alot of unknowns. He started near the pool and the jigsaw puzzle began, after going 75 ft. he found where it was blocked, so he started from the other end. It was over 100° today and he was moving dirt and rocks and everything in the way on the lower property to find it.. HE FOUND IT.. "IT" was 18 ft of tree roots in the pipes. I thought it would never end.. Just amazing and all with a smile and a laugh. Heck he is here so let's see the front yard...This was only 2 drains..we thought.. Joe ended up finding 3 other drains that were buried in sand and it took forever to get them all clear, we now have clear running water in all of the drainage on the property. I called Roto router to replace a cartridge in my shower the lady Connie said someone would call me in one hour it was well over an hour I called back The girl said someone would call within an hour the second time 2 1/2 hours later Travis shows up he sits outside digging in his nose in his van then he comes in the house no mask no gloves and no booties on his boots he had to go back and put those items on then he comes in the house looks at the leaking Moen shower cartridge and says $700 but we have a good financial plan we said no thank you thanks for coming out that's too expensive we went to Home Depot and bought the same exact part for $29 install the cartridge our self it only took 10 minutes that is ridiculous $700 for a 10 minute job I went on YouTube and watch videos and did it ourselves thanks for nothing rotor rooter I said what I said hopefully this is within the guidelines this is my experience with this company read more

Good service. Very professional skills to solve the drain problem.

Our tub had been clogged and nothing helped (draino, store bought drain snake, etc). Water wouldn't go down at all. Joshua came out on time and was very professional throughout. Costs were explained prior to any work done. He was able to get the clog cleared and, in my opinion, went the extra mile by going under the house to make sure that there were no breaks or leaks in the pipe he had just cleared. He explained everything and pointed out suggestions for future work but was not pushy. Highly recommended and worth the price. read more

In case anyone does not know a fair cost to have your toilet line snaked $750 is an astronomical and gouging price. I could not be home when Roto Rooter came and very strongly feel that they took advantage of my girlfriend who assumed we were getting a fair an honest price. Two stars for fixing the problem which was toilet paper at about 30ft into the line. I understand that the price was said upfront before service but again she had no idea what it should have cost and with an established company as large as Roto-Rooter you would think you would be getting a fair price. I called the corporate office to discuss the absurdity of the cost with Roto-Rooter which someone called me later in the day. They started to tell me that the cost breakdown included a $450 visit fee (noting this was in the middle of the work day in the middle of a major metropolitan city). $450 to show up??? Not $450 to show up and actually do something, just get in the door. Are you guys kidding me? $300 to snake the line which is still a lot but for convenience of having it taken care of when you don't have the time to deal with it yourself, fine. After he told me the cost to show up was $450 I asked him if he thought that might be a bit questionable and the line dropped. No follow up call from them to see why the line dropped. I called corporate back and have left a message and still no reply from them. I suppose after establishing themselves as a well established company Roto-Rooter has decided to establish themselves as a company that gouges those that would not be aware of their outlandish fees otherwise. read more

We just moved in and had a washer installed, used it twice and it was OK third time it flooded our laundry room so we called Jo. It was a same-day service and Jo was able to find the clog and unclog it. Joe was very professional and very knowledgeable and kept us informed on everything he was doing. Tyler was very professional and friendly. unfortunately, our parts were old and outdated. Tyler and Nicole searched the internet for a replacement part to no luck. They scheduled us for a week later to give them time to find the part. Here's where above and beyond come in. About 45 minutes goes by and I get a call from Tyler to tell me that he went to an unexpected place to find our part and that he found it. All this time he kept us in mind. Joe Treat took care of the backed up sewer drain we had in the house. He was the third plumber we called. The first was guardian plumbing who sent more of a salesman than actaul plumber... He wanted me to spend 7-11k on the spot. After he left our system backed up again about a day later. The second guy who came couldn't even unclog it. Today Joe from Roto Rooter arrived, got right to work and managed to unclog it. He didn't pitch any extra garbage and was honest about his recommendations. He showed me the camera video and photos from his scope. He was down to earth and your company has earned our future business and referrals. Aggressive upselling doesn't earn customers, it burns bridges most times. Joe didn't try that. I don't know how your promotion systems work but I'd give this guy a raise. read more

So we had a major issue on a Sunday at about 1:30 pm. Husband tried to figure it out, but after 30 min of water backing up into our home with every try, we called Roto-Rooter. Jesse was here within the hour. Immediately told us what he thought was the issue and got to work. Sure enough he was right. Had a leak under my kitchen sink and Joe llT from Roto Rooter came out pretty quick. The leak was from the hose on the sprayer from my faucet. He tightened it up and it was fixed. He then checked a spigot out out that was also leaking. He tightened it up and that was it. What amazed me was that he wrote it up as a courteously and didn't charge me. WHO DOES THAT? This is to get the word out to people who may encounter an accident with a Roto Rooter work truck. Be aware that it will take FOREVER to hear back from their insurance (I am still waiting), and they don't even provide the correct information on their insurance cards so they're practically impossible to contact. I got rear ended last month and still have made no progress in my claim, their company has shown me how irresponsible they are and that I will never be using their services. If there have 0 start they will get 0, 2 years ago(I know it has been a long time). They were here to unclog my drain. They told me they can sent a free camera to look at the problem, but if you let them to sent a camera to you and you know wanna fix with them, they charge you more than 200. I was asking the guy, if we can use high pressure jetting to clean our drain, he said no, our pipe to small. And on this week We just did that. Their are very unprofessional. read more

Below is what I have filed against them on the FTG goernment website: I called rotorooter for a free estimate service to unclock the sink. I repeatly mentioned that please makesure that this is free of charge estimation. Please call me back with an estimate and do not start the work until you hear from me. Igave them my son name who stayed there temporarily, who will let the technician in. Monday (the 19th 2022), i didnot hear from them. i called my son and asked what happened. My son said they did the work and asked for $400.00. They told myson that I requested them to do the work. I got furious and kept calling them back, demanding to get the refund as i did notauthozied them to do the work. I kept calling an they gave me the run-around and finally told me "sorry they cannot refund themoney". This is an unethical and dishonest business practice as they had lied in conducting their business. Please help me with this matter as they acted like there is nothing I can do about as they already did the service. Also, they knew that this is not fixing (as they told my son) the problem, it will happen again and they proceeded to do the work without my consent in order to charge $400 for it. The technician was amazing he's a really nice guy. I hate to post this complaint because he was so nice. But there were a few problems that I don't think should go unsaid about. First of all there should've been coverings over my floor my countertops my stove and my utensils everything was filthy with layers of white dust it took me over an hour just to clean it and I'm still working on it. Secondly I was told my garbage disposal was cracked and then I would have to replace it and they quoted me $495 additional we went ahead and I purchased a garbage disposal while the technician was on his break at Costco and we came back he informed me he probably did crack the garbage disposal because it fell twice while he was working on it. by the way there wasn't any problems or leaks from the garbage disposal before the service. Chalked it up to things happen not a problem. but I have to say my brand new stainless steel sink has scratches on it already! they small but there's scratches and there's also a dent on the corner. He did mention that dent to me saying it came out of the box that way but he didn't tell me that until after the sink was installed so I'm guessing it would've been said prior to that and brought to my attention. FYI, I was home all day while the repairs were going on I was just on the patio and around doing things around my house . Oh yeah, the caulking around the sink is crappie not ok at all, flaking everywhere. The more I write the more I find things wrong to talk about. I went with Roto-Rooter as I thought it would be a more professional company than one of the smaller plumbing companies in the area and I'm sorry I did so.
