This is how they left my basement

My basement got flooded due to a plugged up drain hole. This is the company my condo association uses so I had no choice. I will say that the 2 guys seemed nice but I never got their names. They got the drain unplugged so I'm happy about that. The problem I had was that they came in when it was pouring rain outside and never offered to put shoe covers on, just walked through over my $300 rug and new wood floors down to the basement. Then they went back out and brought their big machine on wheels in, once again over my new wood floors and expensive rug. This machine had wet, dirty wheels. I now know why their reviews are not very good. I won't use them again.

A short summary: Paul is a professional! He explained everything clearly and honestly…read more Pricing/rates were competitive and he did a great job. Would highly recommend. A little backstory: We are a military family and were not able to be here for the inspection and closing of our house due to being stationed in Virginia. We're first time home owners and being from the coast, it's also our first time maintaining a basement. The previous owners did a below-par job rigging our sump pump pipes and our inspector failed to mention it in his report. Paul noticed and explained how the way they rigged it was not efficient. While we were inspecting the front of the house where it currently drains, we found out from my neighbor that it previously had drained out the back of the house. The problem was it was flooding/freezing his garage since he is on lower ground. No matter how far you run the drain line out, it still goes down to his yard. Our previous owners rectified his issue by running varying sized pipes from the sump pump at the back of the house to the front of the house. This made the pump work even harder and the pipes were dipping in some places and higher in others. We were able to discuss the pros and cons of having it pump out the front or the back. Ultimately we don't want to have an issue with the neighbor and we'd have to install an expensive french drain if we ran it out the back. So we made plans to amend the situation in the spring by replacing the pipes, making them the same size, supporting/securing them to the ceiling better, and making sure it's pitched. We also plan to upgrade the way it flows out of the front yard. The main reason for his visit was to replace our sump pump which had been out of service for a few months, likely due to the bad rigging and who knows how old it was. He did this quickly and installed a new one in a timely manner. No pressure to make the other fixes until we are ready. We have a 5 year warranty on our pump and a one year labor warranty should we have any issues with the install! His rates were really great and we are happy with the price. We called around to other places and he was extremely competitive in comparison. Very satisfied and will recommend Morris Plumbing and use them again in the future!

He replaced a heating element and the charge was extremely reasonable. I was so impressed that with his promptness, work, and price that I made a note to use him exclusively, This week the water heater stopped working again. It is 15 years old and the life expectancy of water heaters is 10-15 years, so I thought I would have to replace it. I went to Home Depot which referred me to a service company 300 miles away. They said an electrical permit and an electrician would be required -- true, if it is a NEW installation. The extra $450 made me balk. I decide to call Clear Flo again, figuring there was always a chance that it might be something that could be repaired. Bryan made an appointment, called to say he would be a few minutes late. When he arrived, he immediately checked the circuit breaker (my first guess, too), then removed a small panel on the water heater, pushed a red button, and the problem was solved. Total charge: $0. Fantastic. I only wish I had more problems for him to solve

He was completely upfront about pricing, so there were no surprises, which we really appreciated. Donovan went above and beyond, even going out to pick up the product we needed and replacing it that same day. His attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness truly stood out. He was polite, knowledgeable, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. Highly recommend Donovan if you're looking for someone reliable, honest, and genuinely excellent at what he does!

After replacing water heater water was still luke warm in showers. Donaven stated we might need new piping and fixtures. Possible $6000.00 on up. I was shocked. I called my old plumber who was retired and he came over to give me a second opinion. Told him what Donaven wanted to do and he said did you check your mixing valve. He adjusted it and water was very hot. I probably never needed a water heater. You would think Donaven would have checked this first since he said he has 30 years of experience. Very displeased. Will never in a thousand years call him back to do any work. Could not trust him. Oh, he stated if you give me a five star rating he will never charge for a trip charge again. Sorry Donovan, your getting a one star and you are not coming back.
