After having many positive experiences with Roto-Rooter fixing our plumbing problems, I didn't hesitate to call them yesterday when our toilet appeared to be leaking from the base. Robert arrived quickly, identified a leak in our wax ring, replaced it, and secured the toilet in place. He even checked and replaced the wax ring on another toilet for me as our "remodel-special" of a home has had two of them fail over the last two years, and I no longer trusted that long-ago plumber. He even discounted the second toilet by 50% since he was able to do both during one visit. Robert was more than happy to show me what he was doing, explain what had gone wrong, and how to identify problems going forward. After my first plumber didn't show on me, I called Roto Rooter. The receptionist, Deborah, was so KIND and helpful. The most pleasant experience, and on a Friday at 5pm they said they could be there in an hour and would send me text updates with their ETA. We called the other guys Thursday morning. Supposed to come Friday 1-5pm. Called twice, no ETA given. Did not show. Don't hire the other guy. Hire Roto Rooter. Update: Saso was here in less than hour. So kind and professional! Instantly identified the issue. Found another leak we had no clue about in our basement!! So thorough! He helped us out by fixing another pipe which was very nice. Gave me a coupon that I could use for the service as. Such a great experience! The only thing I would add is that the price was rather unexpected. It's a flat rate of $500 to snake a line. Not even a main line. Seems rather expensive. After googling, it sounds like it should be half of that. Robert and Pablo were great. They diagnosed the issue quickly and repaired within 30 min. The issue I have is that these big businesses are raking consumers over the coals. They charged $750 to replace 8 in of copper. It was in the ceiling, and while I understand this may be a bit more expensive, I had already cut out a whole in my ceiling and showed them the leak. Again, $750 for 30 min of work seems scandalous, but in speaking to leadership I am told it is in-line with the Denver market. I for one will start taking my business to the small guys who can do the job for a fraction, as these larger companies are monopolizing and taking advantage of customers in need. read more

We just moved into a new house only to find that we had a leak under the sink and of course this happened essentially on 4th of July! We were lucky enough to have Jake and Manny come out and get that handled for us making sure we don't cause damage to our new home! Called them to unclog a pipe. They were unable to and had to call a "supervisor" which cost an extra $150 just for them to come out. The supervisor arrived and was super rude and we felt like we were an imposition on his day and an annoyance. After using a camera, he discovered a broken pipe under the flooring. Quoted us $6,000 for 4 ft of replacement. We told him we'd like to get other quotes and he responded with "let me talk to my boss". After he came back, the price dropped by $1,000 but we still wanted to get quotes and he played the same game again by talking to his boss and dropping it again. At that point we thought we were getting a great deal but it turned out more piping needed to be replaced and the same song and dance each time. Almost got to the point where we did not feel safe with the aggressive sales tactics when we asked again to get other quotes. With so many other plumbing companies out there, I would highly suggest you stay away from Rooter and take your business somewhere else. read more

The absolute worst crooks in the state. Had a bathroom drain cleaned and was stuck with the minimum charge of $476. Since this was a condo complex we asked that they tell us it was our clog or in the condo pipes. Absolutely no reply - do not use them. A simple cleaning that would have been 1/5 of the price with anyone else was simply 'that's our minimum'. Do not even call for an estimate - they don't tell you about the minimum .... After a a granite company royally screwed us over, Rotor Rooter saved us. When the granite company left. They took a bunch of sink parts and didn't give us parts for the sinks we bought from them. They also left us with a leak. Rotor Rooter answered my desperate call at 9:30 on a Friday night. They offered crisis services but we decided to wait and they were able to schedule us for 9-11 the next morning. I am taking a star off as they were an hour late and we had to cancel or afternoon appointments due to the tardiness. Our service man was Bob Griffon, he was delightful to work with and extremely helpful. He gave us several option and ended up teaching us a lot too. From now on Rotor Rooter and Bob will be our go to plumbers! read more

Our main sewer line clogged on Christmas day. We called for a repair for 1:00 PM and asked for a 'repair window' between 4:00 and 6:00. The tech arrived shortly after 6:00 PM and was able to complete a difficult repair by 9:00 PM. Roto-Rooter will be our 'go to' company for sewer line service from now on. read more

I called yesterday, 11/30 and made an appointment for today, 12/1. I was given a window between 10AM - 2 PM. (A repeat customer since I had a great experience last time) I ended up canceling my meetings at the office as I did not want to abruptly have to leave to make it home to my appointment. Around 12:45 I received my first update, informing me that things are taking longer due to the holiday weekend. I proceeded to wait until my next TWO update calls. On the last one, I was told that no one was available to help me today and that I would have to reschedule for a later date. - I called in and spoke with a dispatch manager located in Chicago (his name is Rafel) who was helpful -He let me know they are trying to get someone that is off today to get over to my house and told me I should expect a call from a manager at the local Roto-Rooter. - I am still waiting. I am more than happy to change this review once I get the service I requested completed. No one should have to go through this. read more

I have posted twice in my life. When I see a professional doing their job and not trying to sell BS to a customer, it is worth my feedback. From the beginning, I like the 30 minute ahead calls, because you never know what might pop up last minute. Robert arrived and took what I said as a possible problem and with his expertise, said to me as a good business man would, "no sense spending money on something that won't fix the problem." I say the same things to my kids and friends. In any case, it doesn't matter what your plumbing needs are, Robert will always be my "go-to" for plumbing and heating needs. I gave Roto-Rooter two tries and both were awful. The first time I used Roto-Rooter was for an extremely bad leak from my shower. I had a time slot booked from 6-10pm. I received a call at 9:15pm saying no one was coming. Rescheduled for the next night. A technician came and said he could not do the service but he would send someone more knowledgeable right away. No one came that night. Two days later I finally had a technician at my house who could complete the service. Cost me $250 for 10 minutes of work PLUS my water bill being sky high from the leaking for 10 days. My second experience was just as bad. My sprinklers weren't blown out correctly and water was gushing out of a valve (not done by roto rooter) Had an appointment time scheduled and again got a call that no one was coming. The next day, I was at work and got a call that a technician was 30 min away when we did not book any new appointment. No thanks. Use Brothers Heating Plumbing and Electric. Great experience!! Got an appointment for the day after I called them for a slot 8:00-10:00. He was here at 8:15. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue right away. read more

I called these guys Sunday night and they said they would be at my house by 8am Monday morning. They arrived at 1030. My main sewer line was backing up. They snaked it and found nothing, then they sent camera down and told me that I needed 20k in repairs to replace the whole line to my tap. I had 3 more estimates that all came in around 8.5k for the same work. Plus one company offered to re-image the line for free and discovered that it was the City's main sewer line that was backing up causing my sewer line not to drain correctly. I did call the City and they confirmed that it was the City's sewer line. I don't know how these plumbing companies can sleep at night trying to rip people off!!! if you live on Melody and your sewer line is backing up... call the City first. I was told by the City workers that Melody Drive sewer line is the worst in the City. Roto-Rooter also left a big pile of raw sewage on my Driveway and refused to return to clean it up. When Juan C. (#3356) showed up, he was very cordial and friendly. Even when Juan C. (#3356) encountered my "little" problem, he did an awesome job getting the "little" problem to disappear. When I need another plumbing problem handled, I will definitely call Roto Rooter and request Juan C. (#3356) to do the work for me. Very professional and accurate service at a very reasonable price. My drains were stopped up and I thought I need a snake but they came out and diagnosed the problem as otherwise. It was sludge in my pipes and the guy told me if I used a a drain product that they could supply, or I could buy at walmart, it would take care of it. I have been working on trying to unclog my drain for 3 days. Several gallons of Draino, Liquid Heat, several different size drain snakes and just could not get it unclogged. I had been unable to do dishes for those three days and things were getting pretty bad in the kitchen. Virgil from Arvada Roto-Rooter showed up and had it cleared in 20 minutes. Do not use them! They came out and were unable to snake or view my entire line due to a break in the line. Then they informed me that I should replace the entire line for over 7000$! Another plumber came out and was able to view and snake the lines and told me he could do two patch repairs for $3000. On top of that, when I demanded a refund from Rotorooter since they did not snake or view the entire line, they gave me back a partial refund but demanded the invoice from the other plumber, after they gave me the refund! On top of that, they told me they would mail a check back to me twice, but only after inquiring multiple times did they then tell me that they SHREDDED the check (now they tell me that is the standard policy) but did not bother to email me to let me know. I would like to give zero stars. Don't use Roto Rooter!!!!! They gave me an astronomically inflated price based on my desperate situation of having no water for a weekend. They charged me $3800 to replace a 10 foot pipe. Two guys worked for 5 hours and very few materials. They said the labor was $2050, parts $249, and "equipment" $1500. They could not explain the "equipment" charge. The labor charge reflects $205 per hour per employee. They TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF!!! I CALL THEM ROTO RIP OFF, not roto rooter. read more

The tech was great and knowledgeable and was able to correct the problem quickly.
