This shows that the manure was spread over the pickaxed yard prior to any rototilling.

Good honest work desired? I highly recommend you not look in the direction of rototillerguy.com 1. Work is subcontracted out, you aren't hiring the person you speak with. 2. The subcontractors did not fulfill customer agreement with contractor, expectations not met as agreed. 3. Subcontractors attempted to charge significantly "up-charge" by mismeasuring the yard the day of the work (re-measured with me for 3rd time near original sq ft). Our experience with RototillerGuy.com: To begin, the contract pricing was based upon a crew of four at a rate of $220/hr. The task in contract was to pickax the ground, rototill, spread amendments, rototill a second time, smooth it out. The reality was a 2 person crew, that spent Day 1 fulfilling the pickax task. Day 2 is where things really broke down, including their equipment. The 2 man crew cut corners by spreading the compost before tilling the ground as agreed, and layered amendments on top to appear "mixed". The Details: Created the estimate on the web site, spoke with the owner, and agreed to the terms. The first workday I get a call that my estimate of square footage is off. The owner calling from Las Vegas per subcontractors' input stated an adjusted measurement up by 350+ sq. ft. We didn't agree with attempt to charge more and measured again with the crew on hand. The re-measure, with myself and crew, came out at near original sq ft +65 sq. ft. Owner insists on an adjusted estimate for the added +65 sq. ft. which was then requested by owner to be printed and verified with crew. Note: Website difficult to use, print capability not evident, "automatic" email doesn't work, owner emails manually or solved delay in another manner. About the price - it said very clearly that it was based upon a crew of four doing the work, justifying in the owner's mind the $220/hour rate for any additional work. At no point was the crew more than two. They said the other guys "didn't show up". The estimate clearly says that the process is pickax the ground, rototill, spread amendments, rototill again, smooth it out. Day 2 started with the crew of two showing up with pickup trucks filled with compost. They spread this on top of the pickaxed ground and said they would till it so it was all mixed up well. Not the case! In the above photo they are spreading out the compost without having tilled the pick-axed chunks. They assure me that those chunks will be chopped up nicely in the one tilling they will be doing. Didn't happen. And then the end of day, with hours lost to a rototiller that kept breaking, first the drive belt, and the first replacement didn't fit so they had to go out again to get the right one, second the starter cord. Around 5pm the crew says they are done and the boss wants to talk to me. I had questioned his invoice as fewer crew were used and the tilling was done incorrectly. Nasty conversation with the absentee owner who was not at site, at any time, verbally stating all work was done per contract. I paid the $3000. invoice and they left. Only to find more problems. Further inspection of the work, revealed that horse manure had just been scattered over the top of everything after they had "finished" the one-time tilling. After they left, going through the yard, after picking out visible clumps, I grab a shovel and begin the process of forming the ground to the elevation I want and find that a great deal of the original pick-axed clumps are simply buried under horse manure, the compost. See photo of one area I found, turning over the soil hoping to blend in the layer of horse manure left on top: I expected these to be chopped up by the rototiller as they were in the central part of the yard. These clumps are all around the lower edges of the yard, about 80' x 6'. Further text contact with owner, requesting they return and make good on work, he refused to do so. End of story - since rototillerguy.com refused to make good on our agreement. I then had to complete the job that I had paid to have done. I rented a rototiller and got done what they didn't. In addition to having to blend in what wasn't done, I found an area about 3' x 9' and about a foot to a foot deep of pure horse manure. It was just covered by about 6" of dirt and had created a new taller area in the yard. Good honest work desired? I highly recommend you not look in the direction of rototillerguy.com Added after seeing rototillerguy's response: I have to rebut RotoTillerGuys claim noted in his response to my review. Specifically he states that they rototilled "again, again and again." There was not even one "again". There was only one rototill after adding the compost on top of the pickaxed yard, and a poor job at that. I do write favorable reviews of good workers, most recently for 24 Hour Painting Services on Google reviews. I would have liked to been able to do the same for rototillerguy, but cannot.

I was so glad that I reached out anyway just to ask, because it turned out her bid was very much in line with the other quotes I was getting, while clearly being a step above in quality. Helen and her team helped with a relatively large project - rehabbing a slope behind our property that had become barren, building a set of staircases, and replanting our front yard space. From start to finish, Helen was a joy to work with, continually going above and beyond to make sure the project went as well as it possibly could, all while being conscious of our budget. She was collaborative, informative, kind, and generally just a pleasure to work with, and every member of her team was the same. I've already recommended her to family members and neighbors, and am excited to keep working with her for years to come.

Her team tore out a bizarre chunk of cement we had previously and created an entirely new walkway and installed a new irrigation system beyond the obvious plant/gravel facelift. (How many companies actually tell you when your project ends up costing less?) Would 1000% recommend Celtic and would work with again. Can't wait to see it all grow in!

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn't quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn't be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. It was an expensive mistake that I hope to save others from repeating. If I had gone with Pacific in the first place, I would have saved lots of money and hassle. Ale was fantastic to work with. She was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and made what could have been a stressful project feel smooth and well organized. Once construction started, Jonathan and his team were excellent. They arrive promptly each day and cleanup well. Jonathan is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most was his communication and transparency. He provided daily updates, either by text or in person, walking me through the progress and explaining what was coming next, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the project. I also really appreciated his fantastic customer service and follow-through. For example, the game light I purchased arrived broken from the manufacturer, and Jonathan came back promptly after the project was finished to install the replacement once it arrived. The entire project took about a week, and the final result exceeded my expectations. The court and surrounding landscaping look amazing, drain properly, and have completely transformed our backyard. Seeing my son excited to play on it every day makes it even more worth it. I highly recommend Herencia Landscaping to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and professional outdoor work. While I've researched the needs, I'm not a pro and I felt like they listened to the project needs and offered insight to deliver the best result. Jonathan gave me his recommendation and their bid was extremely reasonable. The team came out and got the work done in 2 days. They were sweet people and the work was outstanding. They also left the worksite clean, which seems like a given but seems like a rarity nowadays. I would absolutely hire Herencia again for future projects.
