a slice of cheese pizza

I am so disappointed as I used to love their pizza. I asked for a well done cheese and was presented by am uneatable pizza. The delivery person didn't place the pizza box on the bottom, rather on the side and all of the cheese was left on the bottom. Big fat disappointment. Will never order from here again.

Definitely a family run store, kids are hanging out, running around on their hover scooter.

This is very obviously a family run place- NOT that there is any problem with that. We chose the dine-in option for a Saturday night dinner, not realizing we should have ordered take-out. Why? See the following: When your kids (owner) are hanging out they should be quiet and polite, not riding their hoverboard around the building and being hyper st the counter. Employees should note this as well- As there were some choice words from a young man employee when the computer would work (sh-t and pain in the a$$) loud enough for everyone of my kids to hear which was not a great thing. Several open cans and drinks were set around the various tables (but nobody seated) the entire time and there was a microwave or some such machine on the floor of the dining area. It didn't help that their card reader was out of receipt tape either. He said the card went through and that I could just sign the original one brought to the table and write no tip on it. After reading other customer reviews I made sure to photograph it before handing it in. Now the pizza- super yummy! We've been to a lot of the Chanhassen up through Excelsior local pizza places and the specialty pizza here was awesome (we had the philly cheese and it tasted just like one) and a straight cheese both on regular crust. The crust was buttery and crisp, with a hint of bounce. Very good! It ranks above Grizzly's and Joey Nova's in our book. If I had it to do over I would order the pizza to go so as to skip the dine-in "experience." If they don't want to be a dine-in, just take out the tables and divider. Maybe put in a high-top waiting area and offer a sofa while they wait for their order. By don't leave a messy dining area for customers to see.

Very good quality pizza. Had thin crust and it was paper thin very good. The manager went out of his way for us. Reasonable prices too.

I came here for lunch... then again a few days later! Lol. Atmosphere/Appearance: Located in what I thought was Excelsior, is actually Tonka Bay right off of some water is this gem. It's in a plaza with a few other businesses and a part of a private parking lot. The inside isn't too crazy. You walk in and you are greeted by grand smells of pizza cooking in their huge steel ovens! The menu is overhead and the dining area is to the left. I remember a lot of exposed wood, plastic benches and just a classic looking pizza joint. Service: I can't remember the young lady's name, but Sydney or Candace come to mind. Lol. Whoever it was that took care of us was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. However, all you do is just place your order at the counter, take the number they give you and go sit down then wait for you food to be brought out to you. Drinks are self-serve as well. Food: Throughout my visits I've had the chance to check out 3 of their wing flavors and a couple of toppings on their pizzas. The wow factor here is about big the slices are. They literally don't even fit onto a single plate. The edges hang over rim of the plate. Lol. So for lunch you can order the pizza + salad combo and it totally fills you up. The wings are also enormous and quite delicious I might add! I'd definitely get them again. Cajun and the Buffalo were my favorite, but the BBQ wasn't too bad either. Value: A single order of wings will give you 6 and it'll cost you $10.00. Double your order for $16.50. Like I mentioned, they wings are huge so I think this is a pretty good value. Any time a day you can get a cheese slice + salad + drink for only $12.50. Toppings will cost extra of course. In conclusion, I loved this place. However, coming for lunch and eating heavy makes for a slow rest of the work day. Lol. I ain't trippin' though, sometimes that's what's necessary!

Serves very good pizza, tasty sandwiches with spicy chips and flavorful, generous pasta with a slice of garlic toast.. I had a large bowl of spicy chicken fettuccine with a slice of garlic toast hanging off to one side. I found the dish to be full of flavor (and to be fair probably calories as well). I devoured the toast but took home enough leftover chicken and pasta to make a nice meal for later consumption. If dining in one orders at the counter, is issued a number stand and grabs a table or booth. Orders when ready (relatively quickly) were promptly brought out by cheerful servers. Fountain drinks, silverware, plates and paper napkins can be found at a separate stations along the wall opposite the order counter (in the midst of the dine-in portion). Ate here with my son who works nearby (shout out to Wilkes Auto) and two old friends from my college days. All left with satisfied looks on their collective faces. Based upon the number of people milling around awaiting their respective orders as well as the steady stream of customers in and out of the main entrance (on a weekday evening no less) Joey Nova's appears to do a brisk take out business.

My group got in with only about 40 min until close and I really expected to be either refused or told to hurry up because of the time. I would have understood that too since no one enjoys being held late. What I found was a crew happy to greet us and telling us to take the time that we needed to make some first-time visit decisions. There were still a couple of tables occupied when we were seated but within about 20 minutes, we had the place to ourselves. Nevertheless, we were never told to rush and even when the check was brought to me, our server told me with a genuine tone, "no rush". The pizza is from a brick oven and is best characterized as having a crispy, cracker-like crust with a red sauce bordering on the sweet side of the spectrum. The portions and toppings were fresh, generous, and appealing to the eye upon delivery. Definitely no complaints about the food! I really liked that they have an affordable and approachable wine list. We had a bottle of DOCG level Chianti for $29. Sure, the wines on the list are not going to win any worldwide gold medals or be on a collectible list but this is casual pizza and not a Michelin starred destination. You might be able to go to a spot with a fancy expensive wine list every few months. I could go here a few times per week. Let that sink in. I have not seen a decent bottle of wine in a restaurant at the pricing I saw here in quite some time! Kudos to Olive's for being affordable! For a first time visit, I loved several things here. I would be happy to go back for their pizza and wine list. But I am most happy to go back to support their pleasant and professional front of house staff. They definitely deserve to be rewarded.

Got the 15" size Chevrenth Heaven for a family of four. Server said we should probably get a salad as the pizza might be too small. Got the Greek Salad which was good, but the pizza was DEFINITELY not too small we ended up taking a lot home. Pizza was delicious and very unique. Cracker like crust. My wife's guilty pleasure is a goat cheese pizza that Target sells under their brand and this pizza was like an elevated version of that. Super delicious. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

We loved that they have hammerschlagen and we often play that! We tried the food for the first time this past Friday and it was really great- we were surprised with how much they have on their menu. The staff there is always friendly and if you aren't sure what to get, they'll help you. One thing I do want to know is if you're playing games it's really hard to get points for winning something in their shop... I played the ball drop game and the mystery amount of points was either 1 or 11? so just ensure you and your kids are looking at that before playing. We also did ax throwing and I really enjoy this because of their digital screen you're able to play a variety of games and really make it into something fun for yourself! The person helping us there was really kind and showed us how to throw the best way so we could have the most fun. Overall really enjoy this place and all that it has to offer!
