The Victoria Burroe a great place to bring friends if you live in the area. There's a variety of things to do for all ages including mini golf, ax throwing, and arcade games. We loved that they have hammerschlagen and we often play that! We tried the food for the first time this past Friday and it was really great- we were surprised with how much they have on their menu. The staff there is always friendly and if you aren't sure what to get, they'll help you. One thing I do want to know is if you're playing games it's really hard to get points for winning something in their shop... I played the ball drop game and the mystery amount of points was either 1 or 11? so just ensure you and your kids are looking at that before playing. We also did ax throwing and I really enjoy this because of their digital screen you're able to play a variety of games and really make it into something fun for yourself! The person helping us there was really kind and showed us how to throw the best way so we could have the most fun. Overall really enjoy this place and all that it has to offer! What a fun spot for a full night of entertainment! We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was the perfect spot to entertain both adults and kids. There are plenty of arcade games as well as axe throwing, mini put and even some free games like bag toss. There are also different food options and a bar for adults to enjoy some good drinks. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money as the food and drinks are relatively expensive and the cost for the activities also adds up fast but it feels well worth it to be able to hang out for a few hours without getting bored. read more

A new place to me, so I ordered Smoked wings in a sweet and spicy sauce that were absolutely delicious. They were meaty, wonderfully smoky, and that sauce was exactly what I'd hoped for. Sweet with heat cannot be beat. Speaking of beat, lol, I also had the misleadingly named Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with a delicious vinaigrette dressing, arugula, candied walnuts, diced apple, a good amount of goat cheese, but a paucity of BEETS. Why? Call it an apple salad, there were far more apples than beets. That's my *only complaint as a beet lover, give me more beets. I had blackened shrimp on mine and the shrimp were a little overcooked, making them a bit chewy. Arugula is already a chewy green, so I'd skip the shrimp. Can I just order extra beets? :D read more

I liked that there were games for all ages. I'd say this place is best for 3 years old and up. They also had adult entertainment which was nice. My only complaint was the service. We went on a Sunday recently & they only had one staff manning the front desk area & the prize section so you had to wait for him often. The food was also EXTREMELY slow. There isn't anything particularly bad about this location - it's definitely family friendly with mid grade food options, beverages and plenty to do. It felt like the game room at a KOA campground though. Loud, unruly, kids running all over the place... Not appropriate for an adult outing IMO -- and that's what I was looking for. read more

Also, got to try a few different sides. Fries, scoops/dippers, and cole slaw. All were good. I was leaning the most towards the dippers. My wife really liked the dippers because of their ability to scoop sauces more effectively. I dug em because there was more potato flavor and no coating. If they're not on your radar, put em on. Looks like they're closed Mondays (thanks Covid) and they open at 4 on weekdays (except weekends open at 11). Right on the corner of 5 and Cty 11. Tap selection was also on point. The mini golf is not super great but I love mini golf so I enjoyed myself. The bags area is a bit cramped so it was hard to do it - especially when there were two groups playing side by side. The arcade was also okay. I love big buck hunter but wish they had a few more options and classics. I recently had the opportunity to visit the Victoria Burrow and I was blown away by the experience. I couldn't believe how great the food, drinks and atmosphere were. I was surprised by the high-end quality of the food, the freshness, the flavors. I really didn't expect this at an ax throwing place. This is a fantastic place for a family outing. Great drink specials, good food options; but the best part was the axe throwing! The staff are excellent at helping even the beginner axe thrower and provide individual instruction. The 18 hole indoor mini golf course was another family favorite. Video games, air hockey, bubble hockey, and an assortment of play-for-free games complete the experience. Highly recommend this as a family-friendly destination stop. Fun concept, needs some work though. Mini golf is fun, but needs some barriers at the greens because frequently balls rolled right off the playing field. Axe throwing looks cool but $25/ 30 minutes is a bit extreme. Wasn't willing to shell that out. I did enjoy the arcade games, especially the virtual bowling, but they could do with another dozen games as they were fairly limited. The food stalls were where I think they really need to up their game. Every single one (there are three) had at least two menu items they were sold out of. When you're only offering a dozen selections, make sure you're ordering properly. The barbacoa tacos were aight, but too much creama & not enough onion for my liking. The BF had the Cuban, which he did enjoy, but only got the sandwich without any sides for $12. Pretty steep. I like the idea, but there needs to be some fixes. read more

A friend and I went here for lunch Saturday Aug 29 on our way to Waconia for wine tasting. The bartender was very nice and helpful in taking our order. We decided to sit on the patio to enjoy the great weather. Our food arrives quickly and was good. The burger didn't seem like it was frozen patty but fresh and cooked perfect (I asked for med), the fries were fresh French fried and cooked nice and crisp. We went to the Burrows for axe throwing, munchies, and drinks. The person helping us with axe throwing was super friendly and helpful. We had a fun time together. When paying the bill we were charged a 4.95% service charge with a requested tip suggestion at the bottom. Since it was a high labor activity I didn't have a problem with it. Although it might be in publication, I didn't know in advance that activities at The Burrows had a required "service charge" above and beyond the actual prices listed. When we went to the bar I asked the bartender to pour two drinks. On the bill was a 4.95% required service charge added and a request at the bottom to pay 18, 20, or 22% tip as well. I can't support paying a required service charge and then a request for a tip for two drinks and thus sadly won't be back. read more

Had family in from out of town and headed to the Burrows for dinner and fun. It did not disappoint. Our nephew said it was 'the best night of his life'. We took our son and a bunch of his friends to The Burrow last night for belated birthday shenanigans. These 12 years old had a simple blast! So did my husband and I. There were Thursday deals (until 6pm and again starting after 8pm) and it wasn't too packed for a weekday night either. ** We first did axe-throwing which was a new experience for all of them. Justin was so helpful in giving them specific instruction on where to stand, how to throw, etc. When a couple needed some extra assistance in getting their axes to rotate so they would actually stick, he came over cheerfully to give more tips. They all ended up doing great. Justin also put in food orders for us right there, making it super easy to have some appetizers out! He also made sure that the happy hour $5-off axe throwing was honored when we checked out. We were a little late getting there due to unexpected traffic and he could tell we would have loved to arrive 10-15 min early. He made sure we got the full time we paid for and also -- gave the kids some cool axes to hold for a group picture at the end :) ** Next they played mini-golf. There were no wait lines and the boys just got to go play (always nice at this age, where there isn't a ton of patience). They took their time and didn't feel rushed through the course. They all had a lot of fun. Half of them decided to score their game and the other half didn't! ** It was then time for arcade, which are positioned all around the large room, in different corners, along the wall, etc. My hubby and I didn't realize that if you go to the prize desk, the arcade keeps going. No wonder he couldn't find all of the boys at first! We got a few unlimited arcade cards for 2 hrs and the boys all shared them the rest of the evening. ** We ordered delicious wings (they have 4 flavors) and pizza for the boys...so whenever they needed a quick food break, they could do that. It was easy to find a large table to sit at since they have so many tables. Chef Elias was patient with us at the food ordering station, helped us make our final decision, etc. When he found out our son was celebrating his bday, didn't get a party last year, and the year prior had plans ruined by Covid...he said bday dessert was on him. It was the most surprising thing & so kind. ** By the time we got to grabbing dessert, I could tell it was towards the end of the kitchen staff shift. However, Annabelle came over with a smile on her face & helped serve up mini-scoops of Superman ice cream for the boys. As she did so, we chatted a bit. Another very kind-hearted employee. ** I also got to meet one of the owners - Adam - who told us about his family's operations in Victoria and Oakdale. He was genuinely enthused by his work and took time to ask where my family was from and encouraged us to come back anytime. :) Overall, the food and experience was great! Everyone was hospitality and very accommodating. This family owned business treated us like we were their family. Everyone was happy - like you would find at Trader Joe's! While I had a good time with the axe-throwing and they have some good beers on tap, I don't think this place is going to last. I think they tried to cram way too many things in there. You can barely walk to the bathroom without getting hit by a cornhole bag. Do NOT do the mini golf...it is one of the worst mini golfs I have ever done...the balls roll off of the holes too easily. They are also supposed to have kids out by a certain time (9pm I believe) but this doesn't seem to be enforced. For a place that serves alcohol, this needs to be enforced. I get what they are doing and think it is a great concept, I think it is just poorly executed. Again, LOVED the axe throwing but don't know how many times I would go back to do that again. Good: beer selection , activity selection ( mini golf , axe throwing , arcade games, nail and hammer game, board games, etc. They also had live music two out three times we were there which was great. Bad: the food tastes good but the service is horrible . We were there three times and each time we had problem with the food. First time the burger was raw inside ( we asked for well done) , second time our half of the order came out cold so we asked them to re do the cold items and they never buzzed us again ( we waited 40 min ) and canceled our order. Third time one person got their food in 5 min ( it was on the cold side so probably it was pre made long time ago ) and another two had too wait 35 min for their food. The food was inedible. I had a burned burger and cold fries. My wife had a Cesar salad ( they initially forgot the chicken) and brussel sprouts. The sprouts were burned and slathered in nasty sauce. It took 10 min to find a fork, they searched way in back and finally came up with two. And we had the luxury of paying $38 plus tip ( 20% in advance, big mistake ). We came in there with a group of 15, all adults (ages 17-50) and had a great time! We played hammer shlagen ($1 per nail), mini put ($12) cornhole (free) giant Jenga (free). They have a ton of other games and you don't need reservations at all, we went on a Friday at 6pm. The only thing I would recommend a reservation for would be the axe throwing. The food was great, just bar food but something for everyone - we shared a few pizzas, tots and nachos (the fried tots were a favorite!). Although we drank while playing, I would say this could be a family place for any age. read more

Our family was really excited to try Victoria Burrow over Christmas as it seemed like a great place to gather with plenty of space to play games and grab a drink. We arrived early in the evening and grabbed a table before playing a round of mini golf. However, just as we were finishing up, we saw all of our coats, purses, etc. being picked up and removed from our table to make way for another reservation that hadn't been set aside. The manager told us they had forgot to set the table aside and he was now giving our table up for another party.... Would not recommend this place to anyone. I suppose if one has a lot of children and is pretty well off the games are fun and whatnot but if you are looking for a good meal and drinks for a night out sans kids, skip it. Over priced, the menu has no descriptions, and everything is served on picnic ware (I had to eat my $5 "cup" of soup - maybe 1/2 cup worth - with a tiny PLASTIC spoon). Did I mention the pricing? We ordered pork sliders (no sauce), a grilled cheese sandwich, and 4 sides and the bartender informed us that they would come out - through basically a cat flap in the wall - at different times because they are from "different stations". Please note this review is for the Axe Throwing portion of Victoria Burrow only. 8 of us had a reserved lane at Axe Throwing for a Friday night. Unfortunately this was doomed from the start. There is no clear direction of where to "sign in" when you get there. We were told to got to the Axe Throwing desk. There is no desk, it's just a guy with and iPad sitting near the Axe throwing area. When we signed in he berated us for not filling out the waivers before hand. Apparently who ever reserved the spot was supposed to send out links for the waivers...they never did. Filling them out was simple, not sure why he was so annoyed we didn't fill them out earlier. Why aren't they available at Victoria Burrow's website? I asked him this, he did not like me asking... Our reservation was for an hour starting at 8 pm. Our lane didn't open until ten after, and we were told we had to leave at 9 pm, so we didn't get a full hour. Our lane was the closest to the Axe Bar which meant we didn't get a full size lane. The standing room was only 3 ft wide, where as the other lanes had much larger areas for their groups. We also ordered food, but the ledge to put the food on was only 12" long and 6" wide...try putting a 16" pizza on that with beers already sitting there. To make it even worse, who ever designed the place decided to put the waiter/waitress entrance for the bar behind our lane, which meant anytime they had a drink order to server they had to walk through our lane! This happened every 5 minutes. Since our lane was only 3' wide, we all had to essentially get out of our reserved area to let them through. WHY is this even a lane?! Definitely won't ever go back here and will not suggest it to anyone. read more
