Am I a local? No. Am I a rule breaker? Yes. So, I went here. A cute little cafe where you can make your own omelet, and I did exactly that. I got pork roll, grape tomatoes, broccoli, and American cheese in my omelet. Sure, this was the third day in a row I had pork roll, but I was in New Jersey, so I was required to by several state and local statutes. Service was good - the waitress was friendly and answered all of our questions easily. I almost gave her a pop-quiz just to see how much she knew, but I figured she works hard enough as it is...doesn't need some jerk from out of town making her job harder. I'll leave that to the people from NJ. The food was delicious - the omelet was as expected for the most part. However, the pork roll was not pieces of slices but rather thick chunks, which was awesome! Before I left another wait staff person approached us. He asked me if I enjoyed listening to ska music, based on the way I was dressed. We were amused. Charming little place on a corner. Has good food, decent prices, and friendly staff. Cute little place near the Jersey Shore for a quick breakfast. We came with a party of four and the place had plenty of tables open on Saturday morning. I ordered a simple breakfast; eggs over easy, sausage and home fries. I also opted for hasbrown on the side (extra). It took a while for the food to come out and I will say, another member of our party ordered the omelette with French fries on the side, and the amount of fries they gave could've been more generous. The omelette took up the entire plate so they only scattered a few fries on the remaining space, rather than putting it on a new plate. read more

The food was overpriced for what it was and I was served something different from what I ordered, was nearly upcharged, and had to argue with two servers before the manager resolved it. I ordered eggs and cheese on bagels which comes with pork sausage or turkey sausage, the "eye opener," which is $10.99. They were out of bagels so I said just make it with toast. They served me two eggs with melted kraft singles on untoasted white bread and no sausage. My friend actually cracked up when it came out. I asked a server about it and she said the sausage was an additional $3. Then I asked to talk to the manager because the menu did not mention an additional charge. The manager did not come out at first and instead another server came and said that the sausage did not cost an additional $3. At that point the servers were contradicting each other and the manager finally came out and agreed to add the sausage, which was indeed meant to be included in the order. read more

Stopped by here on the way home from a week at the Shore. You may miss it at first because it looks like a house, but you definitely should not pass it ! The food was amazing. First time here. Came for breakfast and had a western omelette while my friend had eggs Benedict. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. I also asked for fruit instead of potatoes and it was a delicious fresh cut variety of melons and berries. My friend got the potatoes, which he liked. They were the cubed potatoes which were fried. Coffee was also good. Prices were about what we would park anywhere else. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the very casual service and atmosphere. But we will go back! Cute place. Service and food was good. I had the BLT, and my only critique is they should put a thicker slice of tomato and DEFINITELY more lettuce. My sandwich has 1 very sad looking, small leaf of lettuce, almost no existent. My sister had the French toast and they were very generous with 6 pieces, but not so with my BLT. Lovely spot for breakfast! This was one of few spots open early that was walking distance from our hotel. However, we had trouble figuring out when exactly it was open. According to their website, they were open as of April 30th, but we wondered if that was from 2020, since we walked over on Friday morning and they were closed (sad). But they were open Saturday morning, so we walked over and had a nice outdoor breakfast. Surprisingly they were packed at 9:30am. Aside from receiving a decaf tea bag (when I ordered hot black tea), everything was good. My friend got a Greek Omelet and loved her side of fruit and I enjoyed my "Shore Thing" with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and toast. It was just the right amount of food. We came again on Sunday early morning just for coffee and again it was packed. Despite the crowd, wait service was excellent both times - from taking our order, to bringing our food, to checking on us, to bringing our check. Had a diner feel but a better atmosphere - I loved being able to sit outside on a nice patio while eating breakfast at the start of our day! read more

Our waitress Summer was so attentive. She never walked by without checking to see if we needed anything. Not only was she great at stopping at our table often, but she knew the menu very well. I wasn't really sure what to order and she had great recommendations based off of what I was in the mood for. Her bubbly personality and great interpersonal skills made me recognize her as an above and beyond waitress. When I go to a restaurant I can always appreciate having a great waitress. And our food was absolutely amazing. This is the perfect spot to stop at for breakfast while you're on vacation. If your lucky enough to be waited on by Summer, be prepared for an amazing experience. read more

ok HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for breakfast. I've been back quite a few times for their delicious food. From my hangover Sundays where I need that "Hank Over" (highly recommend if you need that grease on a struggle day) to my lighter healthy side when I just want to enjoy an omelette (have had every one on the menu because I have been back so many times but my favorite is the local omelette). Not to mention the cleanliness and most welcoming staff - even during their busiest times they all have a smile on their face and make sure you are comfortable while you wait. As for any good restaurant, I have been there on days where it is fast service with less people but also have been there when I have to wait for my food (because it is BUSY - that is normal if you want a good breakfast, patience is a virtue and the food is worth the wait). So happy we decided to try this place! We stopped in at around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and the place was packed. We were given a table outside and told that it might be a couple of minutes before the waitress could take our order. We understood. With the government continuing to pay people to stay home it seems that many restaurants are understaffed. We don't blame the restaurants. We enjoyed our orange juice and Diet Coke and looked over the menu. Our order was taken about five minutes after we sat and the food took maybe 15 minutes. Not long at all for as busy as they were in my opinion. My Eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious and my wife really enjoyed her pancakes. Went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The fruit smoothie ($4.99) was very good and didn't seem to consist of that fake syrup a lot of places try to pass of as a substitute for real fruit. I went with "slow cooked oatmeal with berries" ($3.99). The berries, thankfully fresh, were the best part. I'm not sure "slow cooking" the oatmeal does this oatmeal any justice. It was very clumpy, pasty and rather tasteless. I attempted to spruce it up by asking for some cinnamon but even that didn't help. After staying at the Atlantic Motel the night before, my partner and I wanted a good and quick breakfast before going back to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised by the youthful and cheerful staff, the place was clean, well decorated and the outdoor seating was perfect on this beautiful summer morning. We had breakfast here two mornings in a row, a Sunday and a Monday. Weekends are chaotic, with so many people and and very few options near our motel for breakfast, it gets packed. Both days they were able to accommodate us, we are a 6 person family so its a lot to say the least. First morning we had a nice spot outside. Watched as others started yo come in and watched as people who arrived after us got their food. We waited about an hour to get our food. Everything was pretty standard not extraordinary. The staff is nice and friendly, but not equipped for how busy it got. The second morning we got there a little too late to get a spot outside to eat so we had a table inside, which was fine with us...it wasnt nearly as busy on a weekday. The food was prepped a lot quicker. The second day i tried the avocado toast. It was sprinkled with everything seasoning and a scribble of sriracha. It was tasty but started get a little salty for me... Im kinda sensitive to salt. I also tried a smoothy. It was nice. They kids got chocolate chip pancakes and french toast... Next time I think I will have them split a plate each. The portions were hefty for kids and we ended up taking it home for breakfast the next day. All in all, the food was okay, the service was nice, the place clean and cute. They dont have much competition within walking distance for breakfast, so we will be back again next year. read more

Sometimes there is a wait to sit, which is fine, it's a small place - but sometimes the service is soooo sloooow! Don't go there very hungry expecting to eat right away....and if you take supplements with your meals - don't take them too early if you need to take them with food it could be a while. Everyone is super friendly though and they always accommodate our party of 6. It can get cramped too though. They have a lot of tables for a little place. read more

I'm a local is a great place to get some grub on. It's name says it all. We showed up at around 1030 am on memorial day weekend and there was no wait. It's location is out of the way and too far for the hung over Johnnies to make the walk to get good quality food at a price that doesn't break the bank. The staff is all young girls, but they show a professionalism beyond their years. Compliments to the management on the training and attention paid to good service with such a young demographic. The food here is pretty good. I got the Greek omelet with eggs whites, and it could have used a little more feta for my taste, but it was still very good. The smoothies are excellent, and also extremely well priced. The decor is backcountry kitchen and has all the charms you'd expect from a small family owned Jersey shore dinner. read more

Stopping at this place for breakfast was the biggest mistake ever. We should've know how bad this place was by the fact that it was Memorial Day weekend and no one was there on a Saturday morning at 10am. We were told in passing to seat ourselves, we did. And then we waited 10 minutes before just to asking for the menu. We waited a while for our waitress to come back to order. (Keep in mind there was only 2/3 tables and plenty of servers just standing around talking to each other.) Then proceeded to wait FIFTY MINUTES to get our food. The coffee was burnt, waffles were like biscuit batter, and over all the experience just sucked. I don't suggest stopping here for anything. read more

This my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in the area! I personally love the omelets, I get a different one every time I go! My favorite is the Cafe' Club- ham, bacon, tomato and cheese! Yum! The Eggs Benedict is amazing, too! The location is great, right down from the boardwalk. I would recommend this cafe to anyone! This place is pretty awesome. We were able to sit outside on a beautiful sunny day (and we all know that food tastes better on a beautiful sunny day). Our server was very sweet and we never waited for anything. My only qualm was I wasn't able to get a burger on a Sunday afternoon, they only serve breakfast and their "classics" menu. But I persisted and got chicken fingers and fries, the fries were tasty (crisp and fresh). We had just beat the Sunday rush it had seemed (around 12:20 p.m.), which was perfect and we were encouraged by our waitress to sit and enjoy the day. I can't wait to come back! read more

What a great breakfast spot. The food was really good, and the place is so nice. I am used to rather dumpy breakfast places in that area, so this was a very pleasant change. We were there just now, as the offseason starts. The kitchen was a bit slow, mainly due to the fast that they are running a bit less personnel. I have liked this local place in the past but not recently. The service was very slow. It took an hour and a half for eggs. Also, my English Muffin was under cooked, cold, with a glob of unmelted butter. My friends French Toast was just bread covered in syrup, very little egg. Waitress never returned after taking our order, not to refill coffee, ask if we were happy with our meal or even to bring the check. We had to walk around to find her. I am giving them 3 stars because of the atmosphere and from past experiences with the hope that this was just an off day. Sorry but it wasn't a pleasant visit. read more
