While the pizza is tasty and the employees are wonderful and create an excellent rapport with customers, the Gig Harbor Round Table Pizza is severely under staffed. We, and a number of other patrons waited over 45 minutes for our orders due to a party in the banquet room. The employees were very polite and apologetic, and didn't even attempt to excuse themselves due to under staffing. On a side note, the interior (and bathrooms) are grungy and haven't been updated since at least the early 2000's when MY elementary school soccer team was throwing parties here. read more

Overall I have had really good experiences here. Their pizza is really good but expensive, and they have big meeting rooms where you can watch football. Tonight we had a bad experience. Waited 45mins for our pizza before going up and asking about it. They forgot our waters for our kids. And then when we finally got our pizza, it wasn't the pan crust we had ordered. Everyone makes mistakes and all the young people working here seemed nice, but no one even owned up to their mistakes. Not even an apology or an admission that they forgot our order. Probably the nastiest Restraunt in the harbor. Hands down, why I find myself here again is most likely due to the ingredients of the pizza. The place is FILTHY! The staff are clueless. Salad bar looked like the amazon rain forest. Crap everywhere. Had to ask for a table to be cleaned. I will make it a point never to come back to this location. Normally I wouldn't touch pizza from a Round Table with a 10-foot pole. But when you're staying with family in Gig Harbor and your kids won't eat anything but pizza, there aren't many options. Apart from their usual mediocre pizzas, they've unveiled an "Artisan"(tm) line of fancy-schmancy pizzas in an attempt to seem like they can actually churn out food of quality. I snorted when I first saw all the signage for the "Artisan"(tm) line, but then I tried some of the prosciutto "Artisan"(tm) pizza, and I have to say that it was actually halfway decent. I mean, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it, but if I were stuck in an airport and happened to come across something that tasted like it, I'd thank the universe for small mercies. So a grudging two stars for the "Artisan"(tm) prosciutto pizza. I mean, it's not the worst pizza in the world. Salad and breadsticks are the only thing I will eat here, but the kids love the pizza. I remember having soccer parties here as a kid and really the food hasn't changed much. The salad bar is good, sometimes things look like they have been sitting out too long, like the mushrooms, but over all I love it. And the breadsticks/twists?! I could eat a dozen of them. It isn't very clean, the salad bar area is normally well kept, but the seating area really could use a little attention. I have seen tables sit dirty for twenty minutes when the place isn't even that busy. The music is sometimes loud. My husband now calls it "Club Round Table" since on his last visit with us it was so loud we might as well have gone to a concert. Pizza is so-so, they are really trying to produce quality pizza but they just haven't hit that mark yet. Until they do, the kids are happy with it, but I will stick to the salad. read more

I love their Lunch Buffet. Many other people also love it. And they all seemed to show up for the Lunch Buffet at the same time. The one front person was left all to his lonesome to handle the line of customers and also update the cooks in back about being out of foods. We customers needed more pizza, twists and salad bar items. For a long time the pizza table was out of food. :( When the line was emptied the front person went around to each table to check in with customers, when it would have been better to work on the problem of not much food available at the buffet bars. All of my reviews are based on "Bang for Buck". The pizza is pretty good but seriously over priced. I also phoned in my order for pickup and arrived right when they said it would be ready. I go to the buffet with my boyfriend at least twice a month and we are always satisfied with the food and service when we go. Great attitude from employees and always very welcoming. Amazing food. Fresh pizzas coming out of the oven regularly to keep the buffet fresh and their salad bar is delicious. So many options to choose from in the salad bar that you can never have the same salad twice! Great Pizza terrible delivery service. If your calling in your order you can expect to get your pizza on average in about 2 1/2 hours. The website never gives accurate information and if you call for an eta in most cases you can't get accurate information. The staff is very apologetic, as if they are use to apologizing for poor performance. It's a shame they make good pizza. If you are intending on eating at this establishment I would recommend either eating at the restaurant or doing pick up. Their delivery service is without a doubt below industry standards. read more

The pizza is pretty good unless you do the buffet. The buffet is absolutley terrible; such a bad representation of their normal, non buffet, pizza. It was also bizarre that every table,EVERY TABLE, was covered in dirty dishes but we were the only customers dining at the time. Yuck Yuck Yuck. I spent over $34 for a large veggie pizza delivered to my home. It was cold, dry, sloppily made, with little sauce, sparse cheese and few toppings. Excellent pizza, not so excellent price. I love Round Table. I've eaten it ever since I was a kid and I can bet most people have had some kind of party there before. It's an icon of an establishment for kids. This place has arguably the best crust of any pizza joint, ever. It's fantastic. I've tried many, many different pizza places and RT still reigns supreme. It's the perfect blend of crispiness and flavor from spices. The pizza itself is very unique tasting. It's like a blend of classic greasy style pizza and gourmet. The pepperoni gets a shout out too because it might also be the best pepperoni I've had on pizza. It tastes great, they cook it well, and it's got a bit of a kick that most places pep doesn't have. My favorite, because of that, is just straight pepperoni pizza. My parents love the smokehouse BBQ pizza. Not to mention most RT joints have salad bars with ridiculously good breadsticks. The salad bar has a bajillion choices of toppings and the breadsticks are icing on the cake. We'll usually find ourselves getting an extra order of these just because they are so good. As far as this particular establishment goes, I've never had a problem with it. The only reason I'm docking a star from RT in general is because of the price. This place is ungodly expensive for pizza. One large pizza is most likely going to run you in the $20 range before tip. I can get a great steak from a nice restaurant for the price of some of their pizzas. That's insane. By comparison, most places in Seattle charge anywhere between $10-15 for a large after tax/tip/delivery (this doesn't count major chains). If it wasn't for that, this would be an EASY 5 star. So if you don't mind the price, order from here. You won't regret it. read more

I'm new to Gig Harbor and Round Table Pizza. There are not a lot of choices for Pizza so I decided to try them out. I tried to order online and the site was having trouble. I called and the kid on the other end seemed distracted and kept getting what I was saying wrong. I asked for curbside to go, since the website had advertised it. They said it would be ready in 45 mins. I got there and there was not actual spot designated for curb side to go. I pulled up in the closest up front spot. I waited and waited. Once I was 10 minutes beyond the 45 mins I went in. I let the kid up front know who I was and that I was waiting for my order. He read me my order back, which was good, but as he was reading it he said, "medium chicken wings". I let him know that the wings should have been mild. He said, "oh yeah, they're mild." Then I heard him go ask his co-worker if the wings were mild and the co-worker responded with, "I don't know, I didn't cook them." I ended up waiting another 15 minutes for my food. Over an hour from the time I ordered and instead of curbside I had to wait inside, where I was not dressed to be because I expected the actual service they offered and I was expecting. When I got my food the pizza was cold and flavorless and there were two long hairs in it! Super gross! The wings were medium and not mild like I asked for twice. I won't got back here. read more

Round table pizza is always delicious. This location does get crowded. Lots of kids but they do have a party room and game area. The salad bar is always fresh and well stocked. They have an all you can eat lunch buffet. Sometimes there is a long wait to get your pizza but they are always hot and correct and well made. Zachary always provides great customer service and he is there everytime we go. So glad this RTP is in Gig Harbor. read more

We went to Round Table for my son lacrosse party and it was horrible! We have been there several times for sporting team parties and kinda know what to expect. It gets picked because they have a good size room where everyone can sit. First when I ordered a SMALL pepperoni pizza, six bread sticks and one soda it was $24. dollars and some change I was so shocked how expensive it was. They pizza took about 35 min. When the food came the marinara sauce to dip the bread sticks was awful it was prepackaged with a tear off top nasty tasting... my friend ordered the wings and it looked as if they just dumped sauce on them and they were so hot you couldn't eat them... totally horrible food... the expensive pizza. The pizza had no flavor and it was really greasy. My husband was going to order a beer and they were new owner so no alcohol could be served they didn't have their liquor license yet! We were all so disappointed such a waste of $24 we won't be back! read more

Took our grandson's age 2 to Round Table Pizza in Gig Harbor for a lunch outing that was less than enjoyable. Waited almost an hour for a cheese pizza and bread-sticks that should have taken about 10 minutes. The adult pizza came out right away but the children's meal was no where to be seen until asking the front counter about it. It took another 15 minutes before the kid's meal came to the table....which means they made the pizza and bread-sticks after we mentioned it. The people that ordered right in front of us had finished their meal and left before ours came to the table. The excuse was: the people in front of you ordered the same order so your order was overlooked (computerized ordering system....so not an excuse). I complained about the situation and all that I got was SORRY.....Not An Excuse!!! The manager came to the table to express that they were sorry once again but it was not enough...WE WON'T BE BACK. Being in the restaurant business a big portion of my life I understand mix-ups and mistakes but I also know that it is not good when a patron leaves furious and has the need to post unfavorable experiences. Unfortunate....we used to take the grandbabies' dad when he was growing us to Round Table Pizza at least once a week and always had memorable experiences (although in University Place & Westgate Round Table Pizza's)...THE TRADITION HAS ENDED...Thanks again Gig Harbor Round Table Pizza for disappointing all of us! read more

Lunch buffet constantly empty despite multiple requests. Asked for BBQ & few other pizzas & was told 'yes we have them, but we don't put them on the buffet'. It would have been helpful to know in advance if we wanted more than a few slices of pepperoni or black olive pizzas we needed to pay for them separately. This was a child hood favorite of mine. Even though I originally found them at the silverdale location, this place has the same vibes that made around Table my second favorite pizza chain. Behind only God Fathers, they offer a great deal for the mid day buffet run. Ends at 2PM but feel free to stuff your face up til then through any lunch hour. I especially like their chicken alternatives with a medium crust. The wait for dinning in can teeter on excessive depending upon the hour at which you visit. Portions are great but pricing is a little aggressive from inflation. No matter, come here, fill up on the worlds greatest invention since sliced bread. read more

We went back to Round Table Gig Harbor and the restaurant was slightly cleaner than last time, but it still needed the floors cleaned, the salad bar had a bunch of food spilled around it, and 1/4 of the tables had dishes on them with no bus person in sight. My first choice if I'm ordering a pizza for delivery, but they are so inconsistent- it can be 20 minutes or two hours (no exaggeration) and they don't set expectations for delivery timeline. If you call for an update they're pretty quick to give one, but as an example when they initially quote a half hour and then when you call back they say they're 90-120 minutes you think they'd proactively reach out. There is limited competition in GH -- I always go with them but I feel like if there were good alternatives I'd take my business elsewhere. I'd say 1 time out of 3 I have a decent or above experience. Maybe it'd be better if I just did in-store pickup. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Went in on a Friday night, they were busy, but that's to be expected at a pizza joint on a Fri night. The person taking our order was rude and dismissive, kept giving the excuse "sorry we are busy" when I would point out issues. Salad bar was wiped out, when I asked for it to be filled, he said he would "try to get to it". It was never refilled the whole time we were there that I saw. We waited over 30 min for a sandwich, small pizza and 3 bread sticks. During the time we waited, I observed the same one who said they were "too busy", go sit at a table with his friends who were in a booth across from us and eat some of their pizza. I get it, everyone gets a break, but if you are "too busy" to do basic things like restock the salad bar to get someone their order, then you are too busy for a break. Once we finally got our food, it didnt get any better. The breadsticks were burned on the bottom and the pizza was cold. When the order came out, the sandwich did not come with it, and it was obvious they forgot about it. Had to wait another 10 min for them to sloppily throw together the sandwich. The service practices at this venue have recently undergone an astounding metamorphosis - and we have been critical of the quality of service in the not so distant past.
