First time here, we decided to go because both my daughter & I had a buy one get one free adult buffet for our birthdays...there was 6 of us paid under 80 dollars including drinks which are 3.99 a piece...not bad at all... I will say the only thing that annoyed me was the fact that the server has to bring you your drinks and refills, also forks...so that was blah.....it's American food and they have a selection of some fish which was nice also steak.... Unfortunately for me being my first time I asked the guy who was grilling the steak if I could get 2 mid rare steaks.....he said it will be 4-5 minutes for the steaks to be done , I said I was wondering if I could get them in about 15 minutes or so ....he got an attitude and was like I said they will be ready in 4-5 minutes that's what I'm telling you! Well excuse me sir...first I have never ever have been to a buffet where you get a steak cut into a quarter size piece. I've only gotten whole steaks...(facts)...what a ass**** I heard from a couple other customers that he always has a terrible attitude....so there's that. I saw that another guy was grilling and thought I should try again and speak with him... he was very nice and understanding as to what I was asking, he gave me perfect mid rare steaks (whole) I was taking them to go anyways 10.99 a pound is a little steep but I will say for the steaks I got it was worth it on that part. All around the server we had and the hostess was very friendly too....the other food was decent....although 10 dollars for child for an 8 year old is a lot especially when you have a child like mine who doesn't eat a lot of different varieties of food...maybe French fries and cheese pizza would of been nice of the menu , even chicken nuggets lol, just for some of those children who stick to what they know. We really enjoyed our visit to this Golden Corral! They offer a veteran discount which we truly appreciate. We actually met new friends and paid it forward surprising them with their meals. You pay shortly after entering and select your table in which you would enjoy dining at. Service was great! Our waitress brought our beverages, and offered refills as well as checked on us a few times. It was nice to see employees that waited on us when we lived in in Washington during the Covid peak era. There was a nice assortment of various foods for even the pickiest eaters. Our favorites were the pot roast with carrots, celery, onions and gravy, along with the meatloaf. read more

Solid experience at the Golden Corral! Stopped by this bad mamajama after working up a real hungerin' trotting through the mall, I simply did not know what to expect, and you know what... color me impressed!! After walking past the "okay" public health rating... and thoroughly praying over our risky little plates, we were quite pleased as we dug in for round one! I enjoyed a warm and tasty stew of unknown variety which comforted me, setting me at ease to begin this absolute flavor fest. After returning for a more confectionery plate, we tasted both a notable churro and surprisingly spectacular brownie! I think we all know dinner is just the warmup for dessert anyway. The reviews for this location are unfair and not always the case for any of my visits here so please don't be afraid to stop by. We have always had excellent service from the cashier/hostess, the staff members at the stations and the waiters/waitresses here. Never had a problem with not having someone to cut meat or an issue with restocking dishes regardless of how popular. I have also never had food that was cold or not heated up properly either. Myself and all my family members as well as my boyfriend and his family members have always left here happy and satisfied. No complaints whatsoever and they are glad that a good buffet is around since we used to go to the Old Country Buffet in Federal Way for a long time before they started to get worse and eventually close down. But I can say with absolute confidence that Golden Corral Buffet and Grill has been more more diverse with their offerings, the food taste better, the staff definitely are more considerate and professional, and the location is much more clean. There are definitely lots of tables and chairs that accommodate different party sizes, there are different spots you can grab plates and gloves, and the restrooms are clean. Honestly, for a chain buffet spot this place is not bad at all and it's hard to find a non-Chinese buffet around so appreciate what you got. The prices here are fair as well and if you sign up for their free membership, it makes visits here worth it and you save a good amount of money which is not common at all at buffets so again, Golden Corral being in Washington is a real gem. read more

My family used to eat at this brand of buffets in several areas of US. Today I will discuss with you our recent experience with Golden Corral. I scratch my head a bit because there could be a number of factors as to why service was so bad. I ordered through my Grubhub service. I ordered around 3:40 an 8 piece mixed chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits. We generally do not eat at buffets anymore so this was a good option for our family. We anticipated a great chicken meal but all of us was sadly disappointed. The food was cold and the chicken tasted terrible and mashed potatoes were cold and nasty. It reminded me of how hospital food sometimes taste and most of the family did not fully finish their meal. It was a total waste of money. Driver spent a long time waiting for the kitchen to bring out order. Let's just say, I regret ordering food from this Golden Corral. There was no thought or consideration of customers! It reflected on how disgusting this food was. I feel like I let my family down giving them this food. I did not feel like Cooking today and I wished that I did cook today!!!! I cook better chicken than this place. I will have to throw away the remainder of food because it was that disgusting and I would not serve this to even a homeless person. They would probably decline such offer. I am terribly disappointed with the cold food and terrible taste it had. And they ought to be ashamed of themselves !The estimated time of arrival kept changing and food delivery was late. I honestly think restaurant had issues getting food out and caused my Grubhub driver to not keep her promise in getting it on time. And she seemed distracted when she came. I was really happy with the breakfast buffet here. It's awesome if you're looking for a lot of variety. I love their seafood salad, and it's still great. The apple pie was excellent as always. The little waffle was delicious. It was soft, sweet, and especially good with the strawberry compote and whipped cream on top. Another favorite was the churro: crunchy golden fried on the outside, and soft on the inside. The hash browns were pretty decent. The blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, French bread, steak fries, potato wedges, and biscuit were good. The biscuit reminded me of the ones from KFC. The dinner roll and French silk pie were just okay. I really didn't like the breakfast pizza, French bread pudding, or corned beef hash. The chocolate cake was dry, and the brownie was hard and too chewy. I got carryout, which is a great option, because you don't have to eat everything on the spot. We saw huge rats everywhere, running around, under tables and climbing up to where the food is. This made us feel really sick . It also took a while to get our refund back. Sad to say I noticed the employees there are nice and tried there best to help, but because of managements lack of training and care for the employees and restaurant no one knew how to refund and what to do. My family and I ate dinner here on 7/20/25. The server Sara G provided great service. Never left dirty dishes on the table and filled drinks when empty. The food was great. I sent feedback to GC about a year ago because the food was not good, especially the fried chicken. Fast forward to Sunday 4/19/26 and everything was good. Even the dry grilled cheese was good. It was a busy Sunday so when I arrived, many of the pans were near empty. But, they refilled them, and after about an hour, I told myself that it was time to stop chewing. I've never been to a Golden Corral before, so when my friends suggested going here to eat for dinner I was really excited! However, I left feeling underwhelmed and didn't catch myself saying "that was really good!" like how I normally do. Maybe it was because we had arrived rather late in the evening to eat here, but this experience wasn't something that I 100% found worth it and would only maybe return for certain items. The staff were really friendly and nice. Our waiter regularly came by to refill drinks and remove plates that were no longer being used. The food was mediocre. I made myself a plate with buttered toast, mac and cheese, fries, chicken and gravy, and fried shrimp. Out of all the things on my plate, I only really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and fried shrimp most. The toast was super salty and overly buttered, the fries were kinda dry, and the chicken was cold. My husband made himself a few plates and expressed he really enjoyed the carne asada, otherwise he couldn't really finish much else on his place or thoroughly enjoy it. Our friend had grabbed some fried chicken who said it was dry. The dessert was also disappointing; the cheesecake has a sort of sour taste to it and the brownies were dry. My family comes here for Thanksgiving lunch because it's a a pretty good buffet. My sister who is pretty bougie and likes to go to places with Michelin stars scoffed at the idea of coming here for the holiday but when she tried it, she was satisfied and didn't fight it when we said we were coming back the next year. Went here on a regular day because we were in the area and we got lunch. They had pretty good choices. My favorites were the fried chicken and the apple cobbler. The only thing that wasn't good about this place is that they ran out of stuff a lot. There were times when people would be standing there for awhile, waiting for pans to be changed out or refilled. Sometimes the kitchen staff would disappear . Why would do they do that? Something I like that they do is that they have to go boxes that you can fill and they weigh it and charge you. Seriously, how is this even considered meatloaf? I ordered the meatloaf meal (individual portion) from Golden Corral through DoorDash, and I honestly wish I could go back in time and save my money. First of all, the portion was ridiculously small. I was already annoyed when I opened the container, but I figured maybe the taste would redeem it. Nope. That first bite was all I needed to realize I made a huge mistake. I don't even know what I was eating. The meat was bland, the texture was off, and there were weird vegetables mixed in that made everything worse. And the sauce on top? If that was supposed to add flavor, it failed miserably. I've had better meatloaf at a hospital cafeteria--and I'm not even trying to be funny. I genuinely sat there in disbelief. To make matters worse, I tried calling the restaurant before placing my order because I had a couple of questions, and no one answered the phone. That should've been my sign to back out. And honestly, the fact that the South Hill Mall location is usually empty makes so much sense now. After this mess of a meal, I went back to look at some of the reviews--and surprise, most of the "good" ones are super old. That alone says a lot. Haven't been here in some years and it's as I remember - crowded. Hit or miss with the food, and even the same item can be inconsistent. Example: My first go round of cornbread was amazing. It had/has this delightful sugar crystal crust of sorts (this could have been by accident). So I went back for more. And sadly, the second time, the bread was squishy and no such crust. The bourbon chicken is delicious - that I can definitely recommend. The pies are also good - I really liked their pecan pie. Sometimes I find pecan pie too filling. This was just the right amount. Our friends love the fried chicken (as does everyone it seems so get ready to wait for that) - however my spouse was underwhelmed. He did really like the baked chicken, though. But my experience was basically as I expected it would be: filling but relatively mediocre food, served in hot trays that were often empty and slow to be refilled, and eaten in the company of people who tend to see "all you can eat" as a challenge. If your intent is to gorge yourself, then the price is decent; if you're just looking for a meal, then in terms of both overall quality and value, you can do better elsewhere. We came here for breakfast this morning. Right when we were finishing up the first plate, a huge rat was running around the restaurant. It ran and jump up the side of the wall where the grill station was. So disgusting! To top it off, it took almost an hour to get a refund.
