Since it is 2 minutes from home, this is where we tend to order our pizza from. The pizza has always been made as ordered and overall good. Service has been hit or miss. Sometimes we get really friendly people, other times we get snarky people. I once asked for my pizza to be extra crispy- which every other place I've ordered it from this way understands me to mean, cook it a little longer so the crust isn't too soft; however, the person on the phone rudely said "what exactly does that mean? I don't know how to make it extra crispy." We like their pizza so will more than likely be back. read more

We ordered pick up on New Years Eve because our favorite local spot was closed. I was shocked that for 1 XL pepperoni and 1 LG cheese was $56! On top of that, upon pick up, my husband asked for ranch to which we were charge $1 for each ($3.24) to be exact. Look at my account today and I was charged twice for the ranch. So two basic, not premium, pizzas and 3 ranch cost me almost $65, insanity. I wanted to give 1 star but gave 2 because the pizza itself was good. I called in my order for pick up and it should have been ready in 20 minutes. I don't get there until 30 minutes after that. Walked in and the employees were around and never acknowledged the couple in front of me who wanted to order. Took 5-7 minutes for someone to come up and help at the front. When I got my order I was missing part of it. They never cooked my whole order. The employees looked dumbfounded as to why the whole order wasn't fulfilled. I really like this place mainly because i go to this plane for their buffet special. This is the best kept secret Pizza place in Modesto, Riverbank and the surrounding area. The best deal for a lunch in this area is the mid week pizza lunch buffet that includes the salad bar, all the pizza you can eat and drink for $7.99. It is a serve yourself buffet, with unlimited return trips to the salad bar, drink fountain and pizza line. I like that the pizza slices are cut small so you can try different kinds, They visit your table from time to pick up plates and ask if you need anything. The best indicator this is a good place you may notice a visit from a truck loads of construction workers, locals from other business, families and seniors. Some extras of the Round table Pizza from Riverbank are their very nice private serving room to the left of the main door when you walk . This place is very clean, nice bathrooms, close parking, and a floor plan hs privacy areas if you want to talk. The staff is friendly and quick to take care of your order. My only suggestion is to add some low calorie options to their salad bar. I have not used their home delivery but if you like their vegetarian at the Buffet table I predict the home delivery product is even hotter, fresher and tastier. For home delivery you might want to try Papa Johns on Oakdale when you get their coupons and then compare. I recommend this place if you want a nice moderately priced date without the kids but this place works well if you bring the kids and relatives and pull the tables together. The place is a little challenging for the person on a diet but you are going out for pizza. The location is nice if you want to shop at Home Depot just behind them or Target to the front off to the right. The Riverbank shopping center has many other good options like SaveMart, Petco and other places to eat. I haven't visited this location for the buffet in over a year because the previous three visits had been such a disappointment. Pizza is more than slow coming out, the staff less than enthused about customer service, and offended when asked if pizza would be coming out soon. I returned today at the request of my son before seeing a movie and sadly things have not improved even though the price has increased. When I approached the counter the employee was less than friendly but I thought the myself everyone has a bad day. When we went to get pizza it was evident some of it had been sitting for quite sometime. Was the restaurant full? No but it increased as we were there. In the first half hour we were there I went up twice and no pizza had been put out. We stayed a bit longer but eventually got tired of waiting and left after hearing the employee tell a couple different customers we have it coming in an exasperated voice. I don't know what is happening here but the last two times I had delivery, both deliveries were terrible. Last nights it took 50 minutes and it was lukewarm and tasted like it had set for for awhile before delivery. The time before the 30 minute delivery became a extra hour and half. They lost the tag. Last night the person told me they had cut staff, who would cut staff at Christmas time. Poor ownership and management. read more

This is definitely the place to go when you use a coupon to get 1 pizza using a coupon saving money. Total bill came to about $23 then... I asked for ranch. I was told they were $1.00 each. Okay swipe my card again? Then I had purchased 3 full size salad ranch servings. All I wanted was a small amount to go with my pizza I didn't need to spend $3 plus tax for ranch. I wasn't expecting it free but holy Toledo that was enough ranch for $100 worth of pizza. No service was offered. I'm guessing they don't get service. Who needed 15 ounces of ranch? Horrible customer service at this Round Table. Mainly all from the Manager, PAM. First, they forgot our appetizers and had us waiting on them until half way through consuming our pizzas. When we brought it to their attention, she started badgering the guests at our table and insinuating that they've already consumed the hot wings, as if they've forgotten they've eaten something we've never received. This was INCREDIBLY RUDE, and not very manager-like. After she finally decides we never received our order; she brings them out. Then within the next 10 minutes she just keeps coming back to our table picking up plates that people were NOT done with, and packing our pizza. Never had this done before and it felt a whole lot like she was trying to kick us out, very quickly. PAM had a very disgusting attitude. Not only was it with us, we also witnessed it with two other customers; as well as her being super mean and nasty to one of her fellow co-workers. People like her should not be working in a family-oriented environment, where she deals with paying customers. We used to come to this location quite often, and always spend over $100+.. we will NEVER return to this one, all thanks to PAM. *The one star given is for the taste and quality of the pizza. Other than PAM being horrible, Round Table pizza is always our favorite. One more last comment: We witnessed Pam wiping her nose with the palm of her hand while holding customers food. We came in here today excited for their all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. As we first walked into the restaurant, we were immediately taken aback by the amount of people crowding the serving area and how little pizza there was. We paid for our buffet after being yelled at by the worker lady, Dee, (we had a coupon that she wouldn't accept), and received our plates. As we went around the corner to sit down, every single table was either taken or loaded with dirty dishes, cups, and used napkins. When we finally decided to sit down at a disgusting table, we got up, left our drinks at the table to claim it, and went to get our food. While we were getting our pizza, this small child says, "There's a line!" (even though we were already at the front) and immediately starts grabbing copious amounts of pepperoni pizza. We finished "filling" (all we could manage to get was a slice or two) our plate and went to sit down, where there were two plebs sitting at our table! Even though we had left our drinks there, they had no idea the table was taken because there were already dirty dishes crowding the area. When we finally began eating, the same server lady, Dee, brought a pizza to the people sitting next to us, and remarked, "better late than never." We were so appalled. We ate what little food we had managed to get, and sat there waiting for the blatant workers to restock their pitiful supply of mediocre pizza. After this was restocked, we got up to grab some more pizza, and it was like all of these people were hungry wolves fighting for the last morsel of food, and all we were left with were undercooked, DOUGHY garlic twists. Doesn't this become a health hazard at some point? We were looking around, and began to notice people cleaning THEIR OWN tables! These people are hired and paid to do their job, but now, they're nowhere to be found! After sitting at the table for elongated amounts of time, we finally saw the cashier/server/bus lady, Dee, with the cleaning cart. We assumed she would finally (we had been in the establishment for twenty minutes with no sign of and cleaning or clearing of the tables) begin cleaning the tables, but no! The next thing we see, she's laughing and socializing with customers. While there were dishes stacked on one another at each and every table, she was dancing and enjoying herself as if she didn't have any obligations. At this point, she finally began "cleaning" the tables. She tossed the dirty plates, bowls, and cups into her cart bins and swept the dirty crumbs onto the floor, without wearing any gloves! Keep in mind that this disgusting lady was also the cashier AND the server, and she was cleaning without and gloves! There were straw wrappers and napkins littering the floor around us, and Dee didn't even seem to notice them as she flung the nasty food crumbs right onto the ground. When we got up to leave and take our business elsewhere, we noticed MORE napkins littering the ground right in front of the kitchen, crouton crumbs all over the place, misplaced forks by the soda machine, and nobody was working at the counter. Never again will we purchase our lunch, or even dinner from this filthy establishment. Disgustingly low health standards, trash everywhere, Dee touching the food and then cleaning tables, Dee being rude, Dee not doing her job, and dishes stacked high on unclean tables are all examples of the disgusting service and experience we were given today. I have contacted Round Table themselves about this issue and I'm hoping to hear some good news back on this. read more

They are a ruiner of family Italian feasts. Awful restaurant. They put the wrong toppings on my pizza even though I had to pay extra for an extra topping! They left out parts of my order that I specifically asked for. The staff is rude and the manager rather hostile and refused to assist me. They ruined my dinner and were not even apologetic. As I write this review I await them bringing back the rest of my order. So far it has been 25 minutes of extra waiting. The pizza they DID deliver is now cold. This Round Table Pizza is OK. Consistently is the key here. Its a hit or miss for quality and taste varies. At times the pizza is great, while other times its sub pair. I think thats partly due to big sporting events or a high volume of orders when employees are trying to expedite service. The establishment is clean and the staff is fair. One shining star in the bunch is Wendy A. She has great people skills and genuine dialog with a smile. Every time I come here I wish I had made a slightly further trek to the Orangevale location. Almost every time we come in there are a bunch of kids running around the store, bouncing on the seats (even if the seat wasn't their original seating), making noise, cussing and laughing while their parents are in the party room or elsewhere talking, forcing the employees at the store to babysit their children for them. read more

I think they have new management....Went and had the buffet lunch. We went to buffet and there was 3 pizza's with maybe 2 slices on each tray. No bread or cinnamon bread. So we had salad. No biggie. 11:50.... same pizza. 12 a new pizza but the jalapeño one that no one was eating. 12:20. Finally 2 pizza's and bread come out. We got one slice each because everyone was waiting. I received a voicemail message from a Roundtable employee offering a special deal which would good through December 10th. I have received a phone call before and in the past the message would state to mention a certain phrase to get the deal ie. The big deal. This message I received didn't state a special phrase. I called to order this special deal, large pizza $10, speciality $14 the employee was very rude. She asked the special phrase. I explained that the voicemail message didn't have a phrase this time. I felt like I was treated like I wad conning them. I have the voicemail saved. I just wanted to order a pizza not debate the issue so I said "Nevermind, I'll just order from Mtn Mikes". I decided I should tell the manager why they lost a good customer. I called Round Table and spoke to the Supervisor. I calmly explain what happened and they did nothing to save a customer. The supervisor said he'd pass on the information he didn't ask for my name or number. So Round Table calls me to offer a deal but when I take the bait I'm treated poorly.
