A few items we tried and shared were Spicy garlic edamame BBQ Beef bowl Diablo roll (my fav) Red dragon roll I usually order sushi but when I tried my uncles order of the BBQ beef bowl, I know that's something I will order next time. It has that Korean kalbi taste over rice and with vegetables. 5 stars. Great for lunch Red Dragon roll- has tempura shrimp/crab meat in the center, topped with unagi, sriracha and a jalapeño on top. Food was amazing... very busy place. Which means service isn't always great but the food made up for it. The male owner interrupted our waitress like 3 times when she was taking our order I couldn't stand that not even an excuse me or just simply wait. Overall I enjoyed the food. We checked out this Japanese spot on a Sunday for lunch. The bento boxes here doesn't come with both the miso soup and salad. You have to choose one or the other but they let you select 2 items and each bento comes with 3 pieces of gyoza. We got 2 bento boxes of the salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki. Then the other was salmon and mixed tempura and we also ordered the California roll. I find the beef teriyaki to be different, the meat doesn't seem fresh. First of all, majority of the special rolls on this menu are deep fried, or covered in "spice", probably to hide the fact that the sashimi quality just isn't there. They had things like BBQ rib appetizers listed at market price. I've seen lobster, fish, and oysters listed that way, but ribs? That was a first. The sushi prices were a bit higher than what we're used to, but we soon found out why. I ordered the Red Ocean Roll. My son ordered a tuna roll and a California roll, and my wife went with a tuna roll that came with a dark savory sauce, plus a California roll. The sushi came out fast, although mine originally came with onions when I asked for none. The server handled it immediately and corrected it with no problem -- great service. Now let's talk about these rolls. These aren't your average small rolls. Each roll is basically a roll and a half -- thick, well-stuffed, and beautifully made. Suddenly the prices made sense. Flavor-wise? Outstanding. Every roll was fresh, flavorful, and had the perfect balance. I especially loved the Sriracha-infused masago -- gave it that perfect little kick without being overpowering. This place used to be good pre pandemic. Sconce then they have kept the doubled prices, listing the same logistic problems as before however the pandemic has been over for years and all the other sushi restaurants have lowered their prices back down. I agree that they use almost elusively imitation ingredients, so I cannot figure out the doubled prices, my only guess is that they keep charging the same prices because people keep accepting it. read more

Came here to eat with family. Had to try it since it's sushi. Service was friendly but it took a bit longer for the order to arrive. Place is cozy and it has a bar with DJ for a good music. Just check out my pictures. Had an incident with one of my order which they replace it but it was a bit smaller than the first time that was served. I was bummed because for the price that I paid for it should've been the same as it was serve the first time around. But I guess it is what it is. Came here Sunday around 7 for a dinner date and it did not disappoint! Originally was looking forward to going to RAW but it was closed. So I turned to my trusty Yelp app and searched to see what the next best sushi bar that was open. Sure enough, Oishi Teri came up on top with 4.5/5 stars! After reading the reviews, the place caught my interest and Oishi Teri Sushi Bar for dinner it was! Service was amazing, food was overwhelming (in a good way), and atmosphere was great. Lucy and Janet made us feel welcomed. Lucy was our first waitress and Janet the later after Lucy had clocked out. Always a smile on their faces and were checked on us periodically (not too often). Louis was AMAZING! He was the man, making our sushi rolls. We ordered the Godzilla and Rocky Balboa rolls. When they arrived to our table, my date and I had a jaws to the floor! They were HUGE! And looked beautiful. More than we expected for the price we paid. They weren't dinky rolls, they were very legit portioned rolls. I immediately shouted over to him to thank Louis haha. He later came by with complementary sake which was much appreciated. The portion size was more than enough, so we ended up taking plenty to-go. We also had calamari for an appetizer which was delicious! Our sitting also came with complementary miso soup. We also met Francisco and Estella, who were other chefs, and they were just like family as well. All-in-all, me and our date had a great experience at Oishi Teri Sushi Bar. We came here from a friends recommendation and this place surpassed our expectations. 10/10 experience all around! The drinks were incredible, and the food was absolutely amazing -- the Smokey Joe is a must-try along with their Diablo edamame. I think I have found the best sushi in the Central Valley. Oishi Teri has a unique twist on all their sushi rolls. I had the spicy albacore roll and it was beyond words...just truly so good! My husband does not eat seafood and he loves their chicken sushi roll. The service is amazing, all the waiters and Francisco are friendly and very attentive. If you plan on coming I recommend you get there as early as you can. The staff is great. They are very friendly, returned multiple times to make sure we were doing good or if we needed anything else. The food was not what I had remembered the last time I went there. The appetizers were good. The sushi rolls were not as great as I had expected. I didn't like the tempura that was used. I tried this place about a year ago and received horrible service. They were busy, and we were in the back corner and it took forever for someone to come by and check on us and refill our drinks. I can't even say how many times we go to this fabulous restaurant.... Every excuse... from birthdays and anniversaries and any excuse celebrations or simply before movie nights... They never fail to accommodate or impress. Their food and its presentation are superb and consistent. Unlike other places where you wonder if their staff just doesn't care. The owners are most always at the restaurant and they work hard but always with a smile and great humor. They come and talk to you like old friends but while keeping up with their high energy levels and standards of workplace etiquette. And if you aren't interested in just their fabulous food menu, then there is the bar... boy oh boy. Such fun and creative cocktails. I would bore you if I posted every time, but taking the time to let you know that this place is still keeping up their level of service on all points....that's a lot to be said these days when so many places have become so disappointing. I want to start by saying the reason of my rating. The reason is that they overcharge us $124.73. A $10 overcharge "ok maybe it was a mistake", a $20 overcharge "hmmmm that's iffy" but $124.73???? That really makes me scratch my head and wonder if it was a mistake? or if they've done this before since people just pay and don't check receipts and that has to do with the fact that they don't even take a paper receipt to your table? IDK but extremely questionable. The food was delicious. We had the ceviche which it was well seasoned and fresh. Enough as an entrée for one person. The chicken teriyaki was good too. The teriyaki sauce was well balanced, neither too sweet nor too salty, just perfect. Generous portion for one person. We also had the spicy salmon roll and tuna on fire roll which were good. The bento box was yummy too. Specially the tempura veggies. The watermelon breeze drink was ok. I tried my friend's pineapple margarita and that was good. The hubbies had the Sapporo beer and according to them it was great. The service was ok. The waitress only came when delivering the food. We needed hot sauce and refills on water and we never got them from her. Another waiter drop off the sauce and somebody else came to give us water. We waited and waited for our bill and nothing. So finally we told them we needed our bill. The waitress came with the debit card machine on hand and asked how we wanted to pay. My husband said debit card so we thought we would get a paper bill right? Nope, she only showed us the amount due: $284.91. My husband paid, they didn't ask if we wanted a receipt or anything. SO I asked for a copy of the receipt for my yelp review. When they brought it I started to take a look at it and noticed there were EIGHT (8) ITEMS THAT WE DIDN"T ORDER!! I asked to speak to the waitress and she came back, I told her the problem, no apology, nothing. She takes the receipt and returned to ask if we had had an item she had overcharge us for. I told her no we didn't. She left and came back with the machine again and told us we would get refunded $124.73 for the EIGHT ITEMS we were overcharged. The manager (i think it was the manager) came too and told us we would get that amount refunded (we did get refunded a few days later.). BUT NO SORRY NO APOLOGY whatsoever. I'm not sure that we will return to this place tbh but one thing is for sure, if we do return one day I'll be sure to double check my receipt BEFORE paying. Same advise to you, please check your receipt before paying or leaving to make sure you don't get overcharged for anything!! read more
