This used to be hometown buffet but is now Four Seasons. Reviewers are mixed with some saying it's great and others not so much. It's pricey, like $22 per person not including drinks but I feel that's pretty average nowadays. Food is good, I like coming here and loading up on the meats, which is decent flavor and texture. Jalapeño chicken, sweet and sour pork and broccoli beef are all decent here. Fried items like the egg rolls, and wontons are good. My wife says the sushi is decent. I love their mocha cakes, the same ones you'll get at Kobe Sushi, I'll pay the price for those alone. The inside is the exact same as when it was hometown buffet, literally, all the same signs lol so the Italian station has some pizza and pasta still. Clean and plenty of seating. Came here for Mother's Day since me and wife was treated to this place. Never knew about this spot since it's hidden from sight on Prescott Road (near Briggsmore ) Parking was large and easy to find a spot. Line can go out the door so you can easily wait 30 mins before getting to the front and be seated. You pay after you eat which I'm surprised with. I guess honor system. Place is huge and it did well on Mother's Day. You get seated and the waitress will ask your drinks before you can go and get food. When we got back, our drinks was on the table along with our utensils. I have to say for the price, there was a wide selection of food for us eating at 3 pm. I'm not one to usually eat at a buffet locally but had to say I was content with the selection of food especially the numerous different shrimp preparations and also the short shell crabs. To me, I enjoyed the hot and sour soup: the fried chicken was decent but nothing extraordinary. I was on a keto diet so avoided the carbs like their chow mein, rice and other items but based on my company, they enjoyed it. 5 stars since the place handled the Mother's Day crowd with all entrees always full and the taste of the food was fine. read more

The food here was absolutely amazing. It was first time I came here. My experience was crazy. It was perfect almost perfect except when I went to the restroom one of the faucet were broken. Been meaning to try this buffet out for many years but haven't gotten the chance until now for dinner. This use to be Hometown Buffet, but went out of business and gave birth to this Four Seasons Buffet. Liked that they have a decent parking lot with plenty of available spaces, have hand-sanitizer and thin plastic gloves for COVID safety and compliance, and the staffs are pretty friendly and accommodating! This place is unique compared to other typical Chinese buffets in that it has 6-7 choices of soup to choose from (clam chowder, egg flower, hot-n-sour, wonton, + more). Also, it has a few variety of American items (roast beef/steak & ribs) + some Italian....although not sure what the Italian items were?! Came late around 7pm, which by then some of their trays were left emptied... Brings me to my dislikes: By 7pm, seems they no longer refill the emptied food trays despite plenty of time before closing at 9:30pm. Also, a lot of the trays seem to have mostly old and leftover food appearing dry or stale. Considering having to pay a higher price for dinner (vs lunch), one would expect better food quality and refills of the emptied tray. For instance, higher price accounts for items such as oysters. Upon arrival, I took the 2 remaining oysters and never again saw more oysters back for the night - felt disappointed :(...Me love oysters! Might still return to try again when nothing else better to eat and in a mood for this location. read more

The variety of food is always good. Food is warm and fresh. Everyone tried to be so attentive since there usually is a lot of people there.

Went on a Saturday morning and had a fantastic brunch/lunch experience. Very clean establishment. The waitresses are on it, great they keep our drinks full in this triple digit heat and they we're constantly coming by to pick my parties plates. They have a good selection of sushi, plenty of seafood options. They also have more desserts than they used at their previous location across the street. Overall this is a decent Chinese buffet that has some Japanese and other dishes. Looking forward to going back on a weekday to try their egg foo young. As they don't make it on Saturdays. I'm telling you when I say this place is good--it's goooood! If I'm new to a buffet, I try small portions of each dish and pick my favourite towards the end. They were all delicious. The dishes tasted fresh. The only issue we had was the shellfish was over cooked. Nevertheless, it still tasted great. The service is above and beyond. The staff that assisted us was great. She was all smiles and very friendly. She was attentive and wanted to make sure our glasses were filled, the table was cleared, and she just kept checking up on us. The atmosphere is friendly. My family and I was hopeful that a new place for Four Seasons Restaurant would mean better food. Unfortunately the chefs and management must have remained the same because I agree with most of the other low rating reviews. They had a wide variety of food including pizza, soup, Japanese, Chinese, and desserts. And although there is a Mexican sign, there is no Mexican food. The restaurant had many tables to sit at with waitresses providing drinks to each table. They are well staffed and had enough people to pick up the used plates. We went here for my daughter's 23rd birthday. She loves sushi, and the rest of us are so so on sushi. I read reviews of this place and found out they had a good variety of things other than just sushi and fish. We were not disappointed as we walked in at 5:30, we're seated immediately, and our drink orders were taken. My first round I went ahead and got some fruit, some hibachi chicken, some coleslaw and a few other items. My son got an oddcollection of things including egg rolls. My husband had mostly Chinese food. My daughter went to town having the sushi, shrimp, and other fish delicacies. We all ate until we were stuffed, and then headed for the dessert bar. A wonderful selection of fresh food, that they kept coming. We saw them regularly refreshing all the dishes. And finally when we were about done, my husband told him it was my daughter's birthday and the sweet lady brought out a piece of cake with a candle in it and sang to her. That was a wonderful surprise! I'm not going to say it was gourmet food, but it was certainly above most local Chinese restaurants, and certainly on par with any buffet in the area. I like that there were many options including things for kids like cheese pizza and Mexican food for those that don't care for Chinese or Japanese food. I don't know what took me so long to come try out this buffet since it had taken over the old Hometown Buffet building, but I'm glad I came in. I've been noticing a lot lately, that most of the Chinese buffets in the area seemed to be following the same format with the same recipes and selection of food. However, they all vary in grades of quality. Grand Buffet on Coffee is an example and so is Hibachi on Dale road and Kobe Sushi in McHenry village. All of them have the same selection and recipes. What seems to set Four Seasons apart is that they have the widest variety. I have seen dishes here that I have not seen at the other places. Also, most of the dishes here are just prepared better. The sushi section is still not up to part with an actual sushi place, but the sushi is definitely of the best quality here compared to the others I mentioned. None of the dishes seem to have been sitting for an incredibly long time gettin gold and nasty like at some of the other locations either. I was pleasantly surprised to see a self serve meat carving station. There was roast beef the first time I came in and a pork roast the second time. Bothe were pretty good. The only thing I see that is missing from this place that is usually at the others is the wok stir fry area. But to me, with all the extra food this place offers, it more than makes up for the lack of a stir-fry station. The service is usually on top of the refills and there are plenty of places to sit. In general, I decided that I would stop going to the other places, because there is no point when this place just seems to do it better. read more

I have been avoiding this place due to all the negative reviews but decided to give it a shot today. The person at the counter was not much of a talker but i was greeted with a smile and a nod and was seated immediately. The food was as good if not better than most buffets i have been to. Everything was fresh, tasted good and there was a wide variety of food and desserts to choose from. The chow mien was way better than the dried version from panda express i usually get across the street. It was not very busy and the waiters came around and picked up plates and refilled my drink. Gloves provided at food stations by plates for using while taking food but not enforced. Restaurant is very clean and all food looked fresh. Upon eating I found out some items were not as fresh but understandable considering what they were like the fried bananas since that's hard to keep crispy and "fresh" but it still tasted good, same with the candied peanuts from dessert section and some of the small cakes, they were dry. Maybe the way they are storing them? Overall the food selection was good. I was very impressed with the sushi bar although no raw sushi. They also have a soft serve ice cream machine.
