The Northeast Tends to lack some basic home fried chicken places. We do have those chains, but around the Clock Diner has some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. They are open 24 hours. First off, they tell you it takes 20 minutes for your chicken to be done, Which is a good sign. It came out in 12 minutes. You get two sides - their loaded baked potato was cooked with amazing perfection and precision...the toppings turned into a piece of gold. Cooking fried chicken is not as easy as it sounds. A group of 26 of us visited this establishment this past Saturday/ Sunday midnight after leaving Field of Screams and this neighborhood gem was awesome! We were instantly sat, greeted, and orders taken. My food arrived les than 15 minutes after ordering and it was sooo good. I ordered a Caesar salad. Most of our party order breakfast and the entire party raved about their food! In addition to the great service and food, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely return when in the York, PA area! read more

Three stars is a bit generous, I'd rather rate it 2.5. I've been here a couple times, but I'll look harder for a better option next time. Convenient to our hotel, so we went there. I can't find my previous reviews of this place, but I know I gave 4 stars. I am upgrading that to 5 stars as of today's experience, November 11, 2019. My wife and I love this place and stop here anytime we are passing through York. This afternoon my wife had a gorgeous fried chicken sandwich. The hunk of chicken breast was enormous and appeared to be freshly battered, not frozen. My wife said it tasted as great as it looked. I had the Agrinio omelet (egg whites, feta, carrot [this time, I substituted tomato for the carrot - I urge the manager to make this menu change. Carrot does not belong in an omelet, tomato does - my opinion, of course]. The omelet was awesome with lots of huge chunks of feta. It was very flavorful without being salty. The home fries were hot and crisp! Service was wonderful. Note - even though this diner sits on the edge of Route 30, a VERY BUSY road with heavy trucking traffic, it is QUIET inside! One more note, if you are approaching on Rt 30 from the EAST, WATCH for the diner and turn right onto Memory Lane. If you go THROUGH the light, you have to ggoal distance to turn around. read more

It's a dinner, you will get what you pay for. When you come to eat at a place like this you do so expecting a certain level of food service which is mostly a two star experience. This gets three because the staff. We had a great waitress who didn't leave with empty cups or wonder if she would return. The price was a little high but hey it's inflation. read more

Not to bad. The amount of Zucchini sticks was awesome. Some were over cooked but tastie. The Reuben was fair, not to much sourkraut and not as much meat as I would have expected from a diner. They burger tasted fresh and was a good size with plenty of cheese. They was a lot of cars out front but there was no waiting inside and was seated immediately. The waitress named Yong was stopping by just enough not for us to miss her or get tried of seeing her. We will be stopping by again but I probably won't get the Reuben. read more

2 locations near York, PA. We had breakfast at the East location. Restaurant was clean inside and out and busy when we got there, but we were seated with no wait and our waitress had our coffee cups filled before my jacket was off and it was never more than half empty. As the name of the restaurant indicates, it's open 24 hours. The breakfast menu had a ton of options with specials. Meals were served quickly even with it being busy and the portions were more than adequate for the price. If you leave here hungry, you've got a problem. Wait staff wore masks, tables and booths were set up for socially distancing as best they could. Next time I'm in York, I'll be eating here. read more

What a difference! East York round the clock has nothing on this place. Was going weekly to round the clock East and was becoming disappointed. After a certain time of the evening, The servers leave and the remaining server there will not take the time to serve you if you were there earlier. Not the case at the original RTC . This was a quick spontaneous trip. Staff is quick. We forgot to take picture of our food. We started with loaded fries, which were surprisingly very good- real bacon and good fries. For dinner my mom had a patty melt which she said was one of the best, I had their daily special of pot pie, delicious! Up front they lost a star since they served me unripe strawberries. As the guy sitting next to me said "nice white strawberries". Waitress was excellent and kept my coffee topped up. They do - and manage to sling heavy platters with remarkably quick service. I'd like to see a reality show about the wait staff. The food is really nothing special, but it comes in a volume that would strike fear into the heart of Denny. The challah French toast was delicious and the party I was with received well-prepared breakfast everything - nothing came out gross. The coffee, as well, was decent and quick on the refill. Round The Clock is exactly what one looks for in a diner. After coming by here for years I finally stopped in and wasn't disappointed. The menu was fairly large and featured breakfast and dinner. I got the ribs with house rice and applesauce. The ribs were great but not the best and the applesauce was applesauce. The house rice however was fantastic and probably ranks among the best rice I ever had. The service was great and our meals came out quickly. The only issue was I ordered a hot fudge sundae with peanut butter ice cream and they forgot the hot fudge. The waitress, despite getting a huge rush (bus tour?) Personally took it back and made a new one herself. The price was great at less than $20 for everything. read more

3.5 stars! My first few visits were awesome... but more and more I have been able to find less expensive breakfast places that offer similar food an ambiance. And even late at nite, I've started to prefer (dare I say) Denny's, even though they dont have my scrapple. I went at about 1130am and it was a mixed crowd. We had the bingo players and constructions workers. And there were tough biker guys with teddy bear smiles that were leaving at the same time as me! (is it wrong to say *drool*drool*drool* ?!?!) I get the feeling that it's a bit of a fun place. and when I was taking a pic outside I got honkers!! :o) The place already earned one star just for being open 24hrs. And it was not a little rinky dink place either! (which almost makes me think it's not exactly a diner... but I digress) I had the 2 egg breakfast with sausage! Their sausage is awesome, almost like Denny's! The breakfast was very yummy delish! And they had my scrapple (though a little extra crispy)!! But still Super YUM!! My counterpart had a cheese omelet (with bacon added) and he devoured the entire thing with a smile on his face! They have a more limited breakfast menu during lunch/dinner hours, and their breakfast sides are about $.30 more during this time, but such a small price to pay for breakfast anytime! And even though they were not listed, we were able to get grits during lunch time!! Woohoo! I was disappointed with the Black Raspberry pie, which was more spendy than regular pie. (hmm) It had a more cookie/pastry shell and the filling was quite dense like jam/jelly. It tasted like a poptart. and while I dont have anything against poptarts, i would've rather had a pie that tasted like... well, pie!
